Checking available quantity

Hello,

My specific problem is that i need to check the available quantity of products that the customer want to add to it's cart through an API and not my internal prestashop stock.

If my API returns 299 when the customer types 300 in quantity box, the message "there are not enough products in stock" should appear and "add to cart" button is disabled, like in the uploaded images.

A module can be developed to change this default checking or where i can edit the code to achieve this kind of check  ? It's something about the template or elsewhere ?
