Tactical Parts
Recently I decided to renable user-registration on the site as I've had many customers wish to leave reviews for products. I remember now why I deleted this in the first place - my website has now been slammed with hundreds of fake account registrations. I've tried several of the supposed "fixes", including Prestashop's patch update and none has worked. The spammers just get around it by coming up with a different method of filling in the name fields. In the past I was successful using Google reCaptcha on the contact form to eliminate spam. It has been 99 - 100% successful in eliminating spam through that page. So I've decided to try this on the account registration page (authentication.tpl). The Captcha form appears correctly, but users can simply ignore it and click the "Create an Account" button without having to interact with the captcha. Is there any way of making this work properly? Rolige
Hello: There is a popular module reCaptcha in Addons that solve this issue and allows you to set some other configuration. Take a look. Regards
