Search, language, and currency all gone from header

Hello,

I was tweaking my theme, and for like 3 hours I could not figure out why footer.tpl was not updating... Well after a long search, I learned to delete the tools/compile and cache folders. This worked great for my footer, but it also removed my search bar, as well as the language and currency modules from the header. If I switch back to the stock template, it works great. I even tried to remove my theme and re-install it from scratch, but it still does not show up. It worked on my template before I deleted the cache and compile folders. Any help would be appreciated!!
