1.7.6 Next Previous navigation buttons / arrows on Product page zoomed Image?

In PS 1.7.6 how to add Next and Previous navigation buttons or arrows on the right and left side of the large / zoomed image in product page? This was native functionality in my old 1.4.9 shop.

Did you manage to put the arrows on the zoomed image product ?

As far as I understood, in the 1.6 (and previous), the fancybox was used for that purpose, but in 1.7, a entire custom javascript was implemented.

I can see the following ways to do it:

- Call the fancybox plugin as it was made in 1.6 (instead of the new javascript)

- add the arrows in the "product-images-modal.tpl" and edit the javascript to change the actual zoomed image.

- use a theme or a module doing it.

Did you ever find a resolution for this? I too would like arrows on the side.

I bought the module magic zoom plus. It brought back the arrows and has many nice features, love this module, good support too.

Thank you for the reply.   It's extremely expensive, and should be a basic thing built into the cart. I don't know any cart that you cannot scroll through the images. I have almost 1k in addons for this cart, just to get basic functions that other carts provide. It's very frustrating.
