Can't access admin account

"There is one error.

The employee does not exist, or the password provided is incorrect."

Each time I enter my login credentials I get the message above. I checked the phpMyAdmin database and see that there is an employee in the table, the status is active, yet the login credentials don't work. 

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

do you have access to your database? can you look at the table "ps_employee" and see if you remember any passwords from the emails found there
