Question before I commit to PS
Feeby Neko posted a topic in Installing PrestaShop for the first time
Hello, there! My name is Feeby and I have been running my own small business for awhile now. I already have a website and things have been going great. So great in fact that I want to upgrade to something a lot more professional than what I have. I've chosen PrestaShop but I have a possibly complicated question first. I have a self hosted WordPress site. I do not plan to integrate the two -BUT- until my PrestaShop is set up I don't want to tear down or install over an existing storefront. I need a place for my customers to go while I figure the ins and outs of PS. My question being can I, easily and without much issue, install PS in a sub folder of my site (example: nekocreations.com/prestashop) until I'm done setting it up and then make it my main thing later on when I'm ready? I figure I'd keep my WP as it is for now and then move it to /blog or something later on when PS is ready. This way I don't disrupt my customer flow too much. Please and thank you!- 3 replies

Hello, Can anybody help me with my Prestashop installation plan? How/where should I setup my Prestashop 1.6 structure in a multistore environment? In the future I want to be able to use; - subdomains; store1.domain1.com, store2.domain1.com, etc. - different domains; store1.domain1.com, store1.domain2.com, store1.domain3.fi, etc. - ssl for each store In the Getting started instructions there is a title "Making a plan" but where can I find more specific information about the installation (apache/prestashop)? Thanks in advance!

I've reported around 3 to 4 problems with prestashop in a matter of 2 days. Here's another one I'm having. I've transfered a shop I prepared from one domain and server and placed it onto another domain and server. The site shows up fine, everything is working BUT my latest problem is that half of my product images are now showing up in a sub directory which doesn't exist. i.e. http://www.my-domain.com/img/p/1/1/9/9/1199-home.jpg does not exist. Why does prestashop think the images are in this folder when they're not there!? the should be in: http://www.my-domain.com/img/p/1199-home.jpg Anyone got a fix for this? I've tried to move the images using the new image handling system and it says my server is not configured properly for it so I have to stick to the legacy format. ?????

Hi, I have installed Prestashop online with Hostpapa.eu as the host but I can't get the domain to work properly. At the moment the link to the shop is either http://www.coolcats....olc015/shop/fr/ or http://www.coolcats....olc015/shop/en/ I have to redirect www.coolcats.eu to one of these links to get it to work. How can I get the default address to be www.coolcats.eu/fr without any of the ~coolc015/shop etc extensions thanks Susanne
