Hallo, ich habe ein kleines Problem: Ich habe die Tage etwas am Backoffice gearbeitet und dort einige Module installiert. Nachdem ich aber feststellen musste es ist nicht das richtige, wollte ich ein Backup Restore durchführen. Gottseidank habe ich dafür ein Backup getätigt vom Home, Mail und SQL Server vor ein paar Wochen. Soweit so gut. Ich habe dann ein normales Restore durchgeführt im Adminbereich meines Hosters, wurde auch erfolgreich durchgeführt. Und nun: Als ich dann meine Shopseite aufrufen wollte, kam ein Http ERROR 500 im Browser. Ok dacht ich mir. Ich öffnete den Adminbereich des Shops (BackOffice) und dieser ging einwandfrei mit allen Sachen. Was könnte es sein? Ich habe auch schon mal die versucht den DEBUG Modus zu erzeugen und zu guckn wos hängt und dann folgendes bearbeitet /home/www/config/defines.inc.php und dort den "false" Wert auf true gestellt: define('_PS_MODE_DEV_', true); dann anschließend browser nochmas aktualisiert und folgende Nachricht bekommen: Fatal error: Call to undefined method IndexController::isRestrictedCountry() in /home/www/modules/pagecache/pagecache.php on line 1433 So jetzt bin ich mit meinem Latein am Ende ^^ Evlt hat jemand ne Idee oder hatte das Selbe auch mal. Ist mein erstes Restore und ich wollte eigtlich nichts verändern, deswegen war das Backup auch so wichtig. Mein Prestashop ist das 1.5.4.1 Vielen Dank für Hilfe.

Hi I had to restore an sql backup in my backend via PHP-MyAdmin. I was facing too many issues after struggling a day with all my products. So the restore went almost fine. I was getting error on ps_mail and all was imported until ps_log and there it stopt. So what I did was remove the ps_log from my backup and imported again and all went fine. I had al my customers and shopping card back. But now my shopping function has gone and I can not reinstall any module with is not working. Does anyone have an idea what this is? I need to be online of course

In order to test a few things I decided to move my Prestashop 1.6.0.11 from our online domain to a local wamp server (as in, local on my PC). I have followed these steps in the documentation. When I enter http://localhost the browsers jumps to the online domain version of the webpage. I have Checked the settings.inc.php, and they are correct. Just for fun I entered a wrong DB name, to make sure that requests on http://localhost actually read the local wamp server. I have updated PS_SHOP_DOMAIN and PS_SHOP_DOMAIN_SSL in the PS_CONFIGURATION table to localhost - but it makes no difference. Help! Kenny

Hi, I've just moved to a VPS server to increase the speed of my shop. I have a backup of my Prestashop database and site files created using the Softaculous backup facility within cPanel. However, I can't see how to restore the database and files. I was using PS v 1.5.4.2 (waiting for a theme update) and have had to download the latest version of PS 1.6.0.9 onto the new server. How can I restore my old version? My SQL database names have changed due to the server move. Thanks Nick

So i was working on my site, and the drop menu stopped working. So i went into the backend and played with things (I am new to prestashop). Somehow i found a live edit feature that i had not seen before. Clicked it and deleted the advertising banner (or so i though). I refreshed the page, and the 'New products' block was gone. How do i get it back. Also, is there anything special i should do to get drop down menus? i worked for the default 'Women' category, but when i deleted it and made my own categories, with sub categories. They had no drop down. I am new to all of this, so know that i have no clue about anything except the very basic. Thanks!

Hi I need to move my shop to a new domain, and I am currenty still on version 1.5.6.0 - I am a bit "upgrade shy" after a previous upgrade went horribly wrong and I was not able to restore from backups, despite having backed up the DB and the file structure. This also seems like a good opportunity to upgrade. I am planning to do the following: While my old domain is still running: 1. Install bare Prestashop on new domain 2. Restore DB and files and test 3. Do an upgrade This way my existing shop won't be affected if something goes wrong. If everything works as planned, I can cleanly switch over to the new domain on the current version. I cannot find version 1.5.6.0 online anymore and I doubt I have kept it on my local PC. The closest version I have been able to download is 1.5.6.2. I am hoping there were no DB structure changes in between those versions. Can I install 1.5.6.2 and try to restore the DB and files from 1.5.6.0 to 1.5.6.2, or were the changes significant enough that it would not work? More ideally, does anyone know where I can still get version 1.5.6.0 to do it the right way? Regards Hardie

Hey, just upgraded an installation from 1.5 to 1.6, and it broke the (new 1.6) default template (moved the cart from its proper position to below the main menu). Which is fine, I don't mind tweaking stuff manually but, well, here's the issue: Not only is there no way to restore the default template to its original state (would be nice to have a one-click "let's start this from scratch" feature) without uploading the default files, but I can't even do it manually. Tried exporting the theme as it exists on the server, and I'll go through the steps to the point where it OUGHT to prompt my browser for a download, but no download appears, even after giving it some time. So I figure, alright, I'll just download a fresh copy of Presta1.6 and rename+upload the default theme. Zip it, upload it, and... it complains about the (default) config file. So my question is this: what am I doing wrong? I'd like to stay with 1.6 and to keep the default theme for now, but I'd like to be able to export (read:customize) it, and I'm at a loss. (Side note: new to Prestashop, but not to web dev in general)

I was playing around with the live edit and removed the block store locator. Now i want it back. It is visible in the live edit and so its hooked. But not showing on the front end. Did some searching the net and tried a lot of opties like delete the module and reinstall and move it to another part of the site but still no luck. How can i get it back? thx in advanced. I have a test site that I loaded a DB (from another site) into my test site DB by using PhpMyAdmin's import. The import went fine but now I can't login. I have gone into ps_configuration and changed the fields that have the other sites name and urls. I cleared the cache on browser and even tried another browser. This is the message I get when I try to login to the admin interface The Employee does not exist, or the password provided is incorrect. When I try to access the front office side I get this message The current theme is unavailable "warehouse". Please check your theme directory name and permissions. I went into ps_shop_url and changed it to the correct url Please help this is a process I will need to do many times over on this test site so I need to know all the places that need to be changed. Hejsa. Jeg fik igår lavet et eller andet i forbindelse med 1 click upgrade. så nogle af funktionerne ikke virkede, Jeg havde selvfølgelig lavet backup, og forsøgte derfor at rulle shoppen tilbage. Under forsøget går der et eller andet galt og hele shoppen bliver lagt ned. Jeg kan ikke komme hverken i frontend eller backend. I upgraded from v1.5.4.1 to v1.5.5.0 then restored the database from the latest backup of v1.5.4.1. Now I have some images in BackOffice that aren't displaying. Should I worry about other functionality not working properly? In that case I'd need to restore with a blank database for v1.5.5.0 but how to keep my data? What are your suggestions? Thanks,

Utilizo o prestashop 1.5.2. Estou com um problema no meu website www.oykostore.com que, por motivo ainda desconhecido não esta mais aceitando o pagamento via Paypal. Como uso somente o PayPal como forma de pagamento, o site esta parado. Aparece uma tela de erro mas a mensagem esta em branco. Procurei no forum uma solução mas não consegui encontrar. Fiz uma instalação de uma nova loja e teste o paypal, o mesmo funciona perfeitamente. A solução que pensei foi restaurar um backup da antiga loja para essa nova e somente fazer as configurações necessárias para voltar a funcionar. Fiz o backup usando a ferramenta backup de dados e tentei restaurar na base da nova página usando o "phpMyAdmin", conforme os passos descritos. Acontece que a partir dai não consigo mais entrar no backoffice. Dá o erro 404, página inexistente. Não sei o que posso fazer. Preciso voltar com o site pro ar. Estou desesperado e a 2 noites sem dormir procurando uma solução para a minha página.

Previously I ran into problem using 1-Click Autoupgrade and without much help, I have decided to delete everything and install PS 1.5.2 fresh. Now its working. I have created a new DB named db2 (previous version of PS 1.4.4.1 I was using the name db1). I use phpMyadmin and exported the database from db1 before I did anything. I also use the cPanel Backup Wizards to create a backup of Home Dir, MySQL, Email and Email filters. Now after fresh install, my PS is empty without products. How do I restore the products back?

En la base mysql he cambiado todos los textos dominio.xx por localhost, pero me da una pantalla en blanco. Necesito hacer algo más?

So, I developed my site on a dummy server using WAMP. My employer finally gave me the details to move everything over to the host they are using(BlueHost). I have restored my database with a working backup, made all the necessary changes to the settings.inc.php file and have moved all of my files back over. Nothing is showing up except my logo. When I go into prestashop's backend, it still shows the default settings with all of the ipods. My shop name isn't listed or anything. I have checked and rechecked all of my info in the settings half a dozen times. I've had other people look at it as well. I just cannot find out why any of my files are not appearing on the site? All of my products and information is in the database listing, but nothing is showing up. Any tips?

Ciao a tutti. Ho un problema con il cambio di dominio di un negozio. Ho eseguito i seguenti step: 1. scaricato file da dominio presta.alessandrobenini.it 2. eseguito backup db da phpmyadmin 3. caricato file su dominio www.kingtech.it 4. importato db 5. modificato settings Il primo problema è stato che sia la parte pubblica che il backoffice mi davano una pagina bianca. Sono andato nel pannello di admin del vecchio dominio ed ho cambiato le info del server per la parte del seo. Il front office ha cominciato a funzionare ma il backoffice ancora mi dà pagina bianca. Ho anche fatto un search&replace nel .sql per cambiare i riferimenti a presta.xxx.it con www.yyy.it Ho provato a disattivare anche le funzioni di rewrite nel vecchio e reimportare il db. Nada. Idee? Ale
