Hi I'm a newbie coming from a Windows and Microsoft background. I have used the "PrestaShop Advanced Template" to automatically create my PrestaShop install of ( 1 Web Server & 1 Database Server). However when I try to access the back office I get and error telling me I need to delete the /install directory first. that would be fine except it was an automatic install so I don't know were the install folder is ! I have managed to fish around a bit and got onto the web server and executed the "ls" bash command to see folders, I cant find the install folder, however I don't have access to the /root folder and suspect that it might be in there. I'm logged into the Azure Portal and I am using a "Serial Console" to access the Web Server (front-end VM) I have also check on the database server (back-end VM) in the same way and have the same limited access. I'm new to Bash, so how do I elevate my permissions so I can access the root folder [if indeed the /install folder is located there] ?

Hello to all Prestashopers, I've looking into the forums and the internet, and there does not seem to be any kind of solution or workaround for this. I've set up my shop with and also an Ad Words / Google Merchant campaign. However, Google Merchant give an Account warning: "Insufficient match of microdata price information" https://support.google.com/merchants/answer/6098383 I understand the whole concept of the schema.org. However, from what I can see, the default Prestashop template is at cause. What happens is that the default Prestashop template put the $ sign into the price_display info, which cause the mismatch with Google Merchant. See attached image: $ should NOT be inserted into our_price_display span. Rather, it should be inserted outside of the span, and into the priceCurrency meta. Now of course some offer a fix for a fee, but that seems silly for me to pay for someone to partly dismantle a template and hack the code for such a small thing. Moreover, this hack might break something else, and will probably be wiped out if I do an update. I know this is only a warning from Google, but this most likely hinders my rankings, and might even cause mass disaproval of products on Google Merchant. Anyone encountered this? hi, When I check Prestashop v1.5.x default theme with http://validator.w3.org there is a lot of errors and warnings but Prestashop v1.4.x and below versions default theme are 100% valid. I know Prestashop v1.5.x is still developing but when I check milestones, there is no production with Front office that means you are going to release Prestashop v1.5.x stable version with invalid default theme.

Hi I just installed prestashop and wanted to change the theme from the one that came with package to the prestsahop template 1.4.5. I mean the prestashop_new. I couldnt make it like this in the demo prestashop front office in www.prestashop.com which make me do that throw unzipping the the zip file and after that i could make it much better but i cannot get a footer like that in the demo one. I attached a picture that shows two footers the one in the top is that one i want to get and the one in the buttom is the one that i have already

Vi har installeret Pmobile modulet på vores side http://www.ion-balance.dk og umidelbart ser det ud til at fungere godt, dog har jeg på min egen mobil Samsung Galaxy S II , en lille fejl i centrering af indtastet tekst.. feks søgefelt kunde oprettelse osv. Vil gerne hvis nogen der har en mobil telefon Iphone, forskellige android telefoner, og ipads eller android pads.. vil prøve at teste siden for mig. og eventuelt melde tilbage om i også har denne centrerings fejl. da jeg i givet fald skal have fat i udvikleren. Modulet undersøger selv om det er en mobil enhed eller ipad der tilgår siden, og vælger så mobil template. Vil også gerne have inputs, vedr farve valg osv.. selve designet kan jeg desværre ikke ændre på, da dette ligger fast. men syntes selv det er meget nemt at overskue. Hvad syntes i? Aupino

Hi guys, I just installed prestashop yesterday and looking to change my theme from the current one, I was thinking of going for a more unique design, so I posted a thread to hire a freelance designer for my prestashop. Since I am not a designer or a coder, I am not sure what to do. Here are my options 1) PSD to HTML They will design a PSD and convert it to a HTML. I have shown them an example of what I am currently looking for in a website. They told me they will design it and will convert it for me unless I already have the PSD ready. 2) Buy a theme/template and edit it The second option is for me to purchase a theme, and they will edit it to make sure it look "similar" to what I want. Since I don't have any experience in this, which is the better choice? Thank you in advance for helping a prestashop newbie.
