Is it possible to create a product which is both physical and virtual? For example: If you were selling a book, you may want the option of having a combination which allows a customer to select 'ebook' (only possible with physical products). In that case, they would be expecting a download link (only possible with virtual products). Ordering the physical version should (but doesn't have to) stop the ability to download the virtual version, the virtual version should always generate the download link. Failing that, is it possible to create two products: 1) A Physical product with the combinations 'dead tree' and 'ebook'. 2) A virtual product (the ebook), which has a file for download. Upon selecting the 'ebook' combination for product 1, be redirected to a different product (product 2, the ebook).

This is a job offer, however we won't be doing this just now but in a few months. Also, I needed to first know if this will be possible to do. The thing is that we will be opening a physical store where all the products will be stored in one same warehouse for both online and offline selling. I wonder if it would be possible to create a module, or software if needed that could, synchronize both online and offline transactions so the stock database would be always automatically updated after any transaction no matter where it came from. I hope I explained well. I guess that we will have a computer with its own retail software and that's what bothers me. How will we ask this software to update the stock info or to syncronize the prestashop warehouse database with the one in this program? I hope someone could give me an opinion and then we could talk about the job offer in a couple months or so. Many thanks!

Hello team, I am using PS 1.5.4.1 and I have the following problem. There are 5 physical stores. Each one of them has a specific amount of product stocked. In addition, there is a wearhouse stock. Is it possible to do/have the following: Have a module that allows choosing which store's stock to display. By default to display the total (or wearhouse) stock. Instead of displaying In Stock or Out Of Stock, it would display availability bar (1 bar for low amount, 5 bars for lots of stock). And depends on the bar/stock level have different colors. Upon purchasing, to have an option to pickup from a specific store. I would really appreciate if someone can answer one or all of the above questions. Thank you in advance.

Hi fellows, so I own a physical store and based on this decided to open the online store, and I was thinking of ways to have prestashop doing it all. I thought about simply installing prestashop on every cashier's desktop. Every cashier would have to be logged in under an account and proceed with the purchase the same way you do online. Selecting pick up at store since the customer is right there purchasing, and add a payment option of "cash in store" to be displayed at check out. That's fine, kind of old school but definitely time consuming. Since in prestashop I can define UPC's and having a cashier with scanner, I guess I could scan the bar code and do all the above process automated. Anyone has any clue on where to start? Thanks!
