Hi! I am currently importing database from shop on Prestashop 1.6 to Prestashop 1.7. I'm using Excel to provide some fixes on tables and import them in phpMyAdmin as .csv files. Everything works fine in phpMyAdmin, but when it comes to Admin Panel I've got some problems: - Categories are not listing in Categories Catalog, but I can see that there are 50 turned off categories, 27 blank categories and some random category marked as "best" - There are only several products instead of full catalog containing 11 000+ products I've imported all tables containing "product" and "category" in name, and I don't know if i should import some other ones. Do you know what should I do? -
Hi, I'm looking for infos or a guide on how to move our Prestashop 1.7 to a new domain. (old.com to new.com) Server should stay the same. Due to the new EU legislation on intellectual property, one of our brands asked us to change domain name. Starting 1. Mai each brand is accountable for what happens on sites with their name ... We've found guides for 1.6 but the files have changed and can't find any help. Does anyone know which files we have to change in order to make it work on the new domain? And what would be the steps to take? (backup, maintenance, ...) I guess we aren't the first and only ones looking for this help. ^^' Thanks in advance! -
Hi there, Nice to meet you all ! I'm a new user of prestashop. I really find it interesting and complex. I've managed so far to customize everything as I pleased. Now I have a little question. For the past couple of weeks I have been working on a client website. The work has been done on the subdomain (prestashop.domainexample.com). Now my client requires multistore (he has 6 different domains bought so it will be slightly different products on each store). Now, would you recommend me to move the website to the main domain before creating multistore or this can be after finishing the whole website+multistore. I've read about moving from subdomain to domain, but I couldn't find anything related to the multistore. Any guidance will be appreciated. PS version : 1.7.2.4 (guess it's the last one in softaculous). Thanks in advance, Kind Regards !

Hi, I just got another server from inmotion and I want to move my shop there, but before changing the DNS, I want to be sure that everything is working fine, then I will change the DNS, add the domain as add-on and will assign it to the shop folder as the it's not in the root! (I have 4 website on this panel and the shop is one of them). The problem is when I enter the new URL which is a folder on newdomain (e.g. www.domain.com/shop), it will goes directly to the current website which is on old server yet! It seems there is a redirection but I couldn't find it! I did this: 1. copy all files from oldHost to my HardDrive 2. copy all files from HD to newHost 3. create new db on newHost 4. create db user on newHost with all needed rights 5. edit settings.inc.php in config dir 6. export all mysql data from oldHost in sql format 7. import the exported sql file in newHost 8. change the Shop domain and SSL domain in ps_configuration table from phpMyadmin 9. cleared the folder in SMARTY and kept the index files in both folders but still the site will redirect to the old hosting. I've cleared my cache many times and checked it with different browsers.. Please give me any clue to solve this issue! Thanks,

Hello , My Prestashop version is 1.6.014 I am asking assistance please with a very urgent and serious problem. I developed my website on a subfolder and now moved to the root of the domain. I changed the urls in the DB fields and also changed in httacess the RewriteRule . - [E=REWRITEBASE:/subfolder/] to RewriteRule . - [E=REWRITEBASE:/] The problems: - In the office backend just few functions are working but no filters are working, the drop menus are not showing and in some actions I have 500 error, for example when called to action the Advanced Setting menu. Another problem in the back is that is never finishing to load the page, the circle arrows are moving continually and is not finishing to upload the dashboard. - On the front the Home page is giving 404 error and when browsing on other menu items I have a 404 error because how the url is constructed: www.domain.comcom/subpage I think this issue maybe I could solve it from the back end if I could work properly there... I really appreciate any help. Thank you -
Moving 1.6 from a folder to home directory

I've just installed 1.6 into a folder. My previous version still runs live in the home directory until I'll make this one work smoothly. Is it possible to move the old store into a backup folder, and then the new one (1.6) into the site's main directory without creating a huge mess? Any good suggestions will be highly appreciated. Hi I have a webshop which is online at the moment. I want to transfer the webshop to my computer and use localhost (127.0.0.1) via WAMP server, but I'm having a problem with this and hope that someone can help me. I have moved all files from FTP to a local folder on http://127.0.0.1/eblaek/ I have generated a backup of the MySQL and imported it into the localhost MySQL I've changed PS_SHOP_DOMAIN, PS_SHOP_DOMAIN_SSL and PS_SHOP_URL to point on http://127.0.0.1/eblaek. When I access the webshop on this address in Google Chrome and other browsers, I get a message that says: "This page does not exists". Someone who has an idea? If I go to http://127.0.0.1/ there's no problem. -
Took a working shop v. 1.6.0.9 Downloaded it, installed it on a local server, ajusted the database to run locally - work perfect! Made the critical changes now to reupload imported the new database, uploaded the files, ajusted the database to work online but now I'm getting some weird bugs.. Hi, i've upgraded from a v1.5 to the latest v1.6, wanted to fix some text issues at a main category name and forgot to check category settings. Therefor, i can't see the edited categories on the Front Office or at the Back Office normally, that 2 is below the "Home" and the 2 categories is not visible on the FO at all. I've tried to edit those categories to move them back, however, i couldn't find any move/assign button/text there. All ideas are appreciated, getting mad about this . Regards, Geza

Hi! I had to move to a new hosting provider, because the old one didn't support private SSL. Now everything has been copied, the database and the files via FTP and uploaded to the new space. We even updated the settings for the connection between files and database. I have moved my PS 1.4.9.0. webshop to another host. Backup all the files at my old host and uploaded them to my new host. Deleted the tools/smart/cache (except index.php) and amended the settings.inc file. Login on back office works. But the webshop front office keeps blank. No error no nothing, just a white blank page. I have checked if the shop was in maintanance mode but it wasn't. I put it in maitanance mode to see what happens and it gives a webpage saying he shop cannot be visited due to maintanance. So why if backoffice working and front office if in maintanance mode but not if it is in normal mode. How can I solve this? Been checking everything over and over for a 2 days now and my shop is now offline as my contract with old host has expired. with old host all was working fine for over 2 years now. Found this guide http://doc.prestashop.com/display/PS14/System+Administrator+Guide#SystemAdministratorGuide-MovingPrestaShop and did all it says on moving. In b/o I can see all products and images so database connection is ok. New host is trying to help but has almost given up. They say it is probably a script problem. Can it be a php.ini settings issue? (Thats the only thing I vcan think of that is different between old and new host) Please can anyone help ????

Hello all, a couple of weeks ago I moved my shop from a sub-directory in a shared hosting with others sites I have to it's own hosting and domain. After having some problems and issues I was able to get my store running without having to start inserting products and information from the beginning. I knew some features were still having issues, but since the store was running fine, I just let it go. However, PrestaShop 1.6.0.5 is now available and the 1-Click upgrade does not work. I have uninstall it I have given permission to the folder the program said had not, but still the 1-Click upgrade does not work, it says that the current version is up to date, but at the same time it also says that it need to be upgraded. What can I do upgrade to version 1.6.0.5 from version 1.5.6.2? Please Help! Thank you! Hola a todos, hace un par de semanas atras movi mi tiemda de un sub-directorio donde compartia con otros sitio que tengo a su propio dominio y hosting. Despues de tener siertos problemas para que la tienda trabajara, pude ponerla atrabajar sin tener que comenzar desde el principio a inserter los productos y demas. De todas maneras, con todo y que la tienda estaba trabajando, yo sabia que habian algunos problemas despues que la movi, pero la deje asi ya que los problemas que presentaba no interferian con el front office o el back office. Ahora PrestaShop tiene la version 1.6.0.5 pero el 1-Click Upgrade no me trabaja, dice que la version de 1-Click Upgrade esta al dia, pero al mismo tiempo muetra que hay que actualizarlo, cuando trato de actualizarlo, me da un error. I moved my Prestashop installation to a new hoster I follwed this guide: http://www.templatemonster.com/help/prestashop-1-5-x-how-to-move-your-website-from-one-domain-to-another.html the domain name for my website is http://www.its-smoke.com this works fine, the shop is currently in maintenance mode I can acces the front page but when I try to enter the back-office at first i got a blank page. Ive turned on error reporting and I get the follwing error: Fatal error: Class 'Smarty_Internal_Compile_foreach' not found in E:\its-smoke.com\wwwroot\tools\smarty\sysplugins\smarty_internal_templatecompilerbase.php on line 481 You can see for yourself on http://its-smoke.com/admin/ I don't understand the site is also running on my old host and evrything works fine there using the exact same files, ive re-created evrything in exactly the same way (copied the files, copied the database, set the corrects urls) How can i acces my back office again? -
Hi I've been assigned to move a prestashop from 1 server to another (both local) Problem is, i've moved the files, the databse (backup) and all, but I keep getting a error 500 whenever I hit the new server? I tried setting it into developer mode, but that ddin't reveal any further error reporting. I'm quite stuck, and it's bad since our shop need to go live really soon. Setup is win server 2008, IIS 7,5, PHP 5,3, Mysql 5,6. ioncube I'm having both phpinfo running, myphpadmin, and another helpdesk system based on php, so I'm guessing it is'nt the php that causes problems. but does anyone have a clue? I have been modifying confin/config and config/settings. I've been into the database, found ps_configuration and set the ps_shop_cipher to 0, changed the shop domain to the right thing. I am all outta ideas.

I wanted to move the shop to the root folder to eliminate redirects & copied everything to the main folder, changed the URLs in the SEO & URLs tab, in the BO. The website looks OK, but the product pages are blank. Nothing worked so far, I've tried many settings in the BO, no luck. I turned error reporting on, and got this message: Fatal error: Out of memory (allocated 39321600) (tried to allocate 1966080 bytes) in cache/smarty/compile/e0/cf/5a/e0cf5ac488efc0dab833c481d30afc13b4ef3f4a.file.product.tpl.php on line 874 Does anyone know how to fix this? Hello, I am working on my laptop and desktop both, and move files from one to the other so I can continue working. I am using EasyPHP, and developing on the localhost. Each time I switch from laptop/desktop I copy the prestashop root folders and files from "/data/localweb/ps/" and then I also copy phpMyAdmin folder from "/modules/" folder. However, I have just added a minic slider to the home page on my desktop, and it just won't showup in the laptop after I copied the above two folders. Am I missing something? Is there something else I am supposed to be doing? Any help will help. Thanks -

Hi all I need to move my prestashop installation to a new domain, and forward all the pages from the old domain to the new one. Could anyone show me how to do the redirects in the .htaccess file that is going in the root of the old domain? Should it be 1 redirect per page, for example: Redirect 301 /page1 http://newdomain.com/page1 Redirect 301 /page2 http://newdomain.com/page2 Redirect 301 /page3 http://newdomain.com/page3 or can you do it with regular-expressions pattern-matching, for example: RedirectMatch 301 ^/([^.]+)\.htm$ http://newdomain.com/$1.htm I read somewhere that this is the best method if the site structure will stay the same. And does the file need to contain anything else or just the redirects? Any help would be appreciated Thanks! -
Hello all, Currently I am having some issue cloning/mirroring my working sites ever since I moved to PS152. It was not having problems before on the older version I was running, and since the new version remains a big quantum leap for me still, asking those of you who might have solved this problem already. What I was doing before with my 1.2.5. Copying all my files to the new location. Syncing the working DB on the new one. Wiping the .htaccess from new locaiton. Updating settings.inc.php with new DB details and new location. Up until now that was all what I had to do to be able to access the BO and change the rest from there like domain and such. Now it is not working anymore. The BO login page refuse my login credentials. I assume security was increased, and I am quite certain I am missing something quite obvious. So please point it out to me I have now tried to change URL_CANONICAL from the DB before syncing, but that has not solved my problem and I am running out of ideas. Thanks in advance. Cheers! -

As you can see I've made some changes to the original that I made by editing the file product.tpl. At this point I would need to make other changes to the same page but I could not carry them out. In particular, I would that the 'Details' and 'Technical Information' are placed above the form of the 'Related Products' page and in gaining access to the 'Technical Information' itself is open in priority to that of the 'Details' . Hi there, I have moved my Presta from webshop.fleurance.dk which was hosted at one.com to fleurance.dk who have moved to Meebox hosting! I have moved the files uploaded database backup, as amended config / settings AND made a find / replace in dreamweaver to my database, I have removed all places where there was "webshop.fleurance" to just be Fleurance (in /config) folder! Still I get: Wrong sub-domain for SQL query. Check www.fleurance.dk What am I doing wrong / missing? In advance many thank you - looking forward to see Presta in action!

HI fellows, So I have my online shop here, allocated under the subdomain '/tienda'. The site is up and running yet I am looking to move the entire store to the root domain 'tivicr.com' this way people will land on the site directly. Now, is it just something as easy as changing the configuration files to point to the root domain or it gets more complex and I have the store live? What files to change? Maybe is just simpler to add an automatic redirect script to the 'tivicr.com/index.html'? Will this slow down the site considerably? thanks in advance for all your opinions, AJ -
Dear all, help. I have a Prestashop webshop which is active for over a year. Everything is configured nicely and is working smooth. Some specs: - Prestashop version 1.4.1, not updated since it worked well with a theme - Theme installed, working fine - some tweaks were required but no issues - Payment features installed, language updated made. Now I am required to relocate the shop from one URL (installed in a folder) to another URL (main public) at the same serverprovider. However this appears not to be as easy as expected. I followed these instructions; - http://www.howtomakeawebshop.com/tip-3-moving-prestashop-from-one-host-to-another/ - http://www.phpbb.com/kb/article/transferring-your-board-to-a-new-host-or-domain/ This is what I have been able to do; - I have backup-ed all my files in a local folder - I have been able to backup database - I have reinstalled Prestashop - via installtron - old version 1.4.1 (just in case) - I have copied all files from locla backup folder to active URL using Filezilla - overwriting some of the files - - I have reinstalled the database, using BigDump.php - which worked and then...error. when I go to the main page of the new URL the error I get is; "The requested URL /nl/ was not found on this server." Which is correct, as I had installed both an English and a Dutch (/nl) language version of the Prestashop, but the folder is not there. Hence the shop won't start. Maybe everything is in place, but I am unable to check if it works. p.s. I am not a specialist at the hardcore tech-stuff, but I am getting by with what I find online, which helps most of the time. My company already have a old prestashop version 0.9.7.2. Now we want to upgrage the store so that we can use new features and better management tools. Since I need to minimize the close time, I start to built the new store at local computer and then replace the old one with the new one at the host. The old store is hosted at bluehost.com My question is can I built it local and replace the old store? If so, would it be very smooth? Thanks a lot. -
Hello, I have a problem with moving prodducts to the diffrent category. For example in category A I have 100 mp3 players, 100 mobile phones and 50 photo cameras. So i have 250 diffrent products and I need to change those products category. So changing products category individually it would take a long time to do that. Is there somekind of module to do that faster ? For example chosing all televisions and then moving them to other category ?
