  1. Hello I have a problem with creating PDF files for my orders. I have large orders ( for example: 950 positions ) and my PDF files not contain positions . Whole table with order positions is invisible - doesn't exist in PDF file. Server logs - clear. Any ideas ?
  2. First of all guys, I want to tell everyone I've checked all similar posts here and in other websites, and that I'm my own host. I work in a place where we got our own servers and we got our own configs. The thing is I just joined them and I'm a novice. I'm not yet working for them. I'm just learning, and I'm supposed to learn "alone" or from the internet, and here is where you guys come in. Whenever I go into the module blocks translations and try to change and then save something, I got the following error: Request Entity Too Large The requested resource /bike/prestashopbo/adminshop/index.php does not allow request data with POST requests, or the amount of data provided in the request exceeds the capacity limit. What I did is to go the plesk that we've got, (Like a Control Panel), I went to the PHP Config and I switched the "memory_limit", the "post_max_size" and the "upload_max_filesize" to high values like "2048M","500M","250M" for example. I even tried higher values and a "-1" memory_limit which means Infinite. The thing is I still keep getting the error, don't understand what's happening. Any ideas? Thanks in advance,
  3. I have a problem that I think is database related. Prestashop is v1.6.0.6. I found that the db backup started to fail with an error that it could not find a schema for one table. I also had problems with a PrestaBackUP module that failed to complete, apparently timing out. Finding other reports suggested this might relate to the size of the database. The shop has only been online for a few months, with 300 orders placed, so not that many and not a huge site. But the database was 108Mb (compressed to 16Mb if backed up as .gz direct from phpMyAdmin). I tried to find out exactly what the Prestashop Cleaner module did with 'Database Cleaning', failed to locate information and ended up trying it. This reported removing 24 lines (only) from ps_cart. But I found huge numbers in the guest table - 65,000 of them - that had no attached data and I assume relate to robots. I deleted these as well as stats information in connections etc using a free module from catalogo-onliners that said 'This option delete all the fields from connections/expired vouchers/cart tables and optimize all tables'. It reported removing about another 65,000 entries. The database dropped from 108Mb to 91Mb, which still seems h uge. db Backup still fails to run. Is there anything else to try to make the database smaller? Is the database size related to the db Backup module not working, and how can its operation be repaired?
  4. When trying to click the products page, it wont load I'm just getting the classic memory limit error at 264mb, So I increased the memory limit to 512mb, and the new error comes at 536mb Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 536870912 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 256 bytes) in /var/www/vhosts/mylaggywebsite/httpdocs/classes/db/DbPDO.php on line 103 My the webhost ofcourse prevents going any higher than that. So that is a HUGE/MAJOR problem meaning the site is useless, since products cannot be added/deleted/modifyed anymore. The categories is a database designed on a OCcommerce platform running only 128mb, and then migrated to Prestashop running 256mb default. The front office works fine, categories and existing products show as they should, and running it all in a development inviroment it can work both BO and FO. The category database is about cars and are actually buildt up in this syntax Brand>model>Engine Size>Year><---multiple subcategories here for spareparts--> I'm confident the problem with the backoffice product page NOT loading even though it should only load 50 products at a time, it tries to load ALL categories and ALL products at once. Which ofcourse is just a design/coding flaw. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to sort this problem, or just make a workaround to actually make the products page work, so it would be possible to edit products ?
  6. Hello, So our website has quite a lot of categories, which are needed because of the huge range of products we do and our shop doubles as our catalog. Basically I was wondering how it would be possible to compress the menu into a more responsive design, on a monitor the menu is fine being this large, although making it smaller would be beneficial, maybe if I could put it into a large vertical box, but one which when on a smaller screen would ever change to a drop down menu, or just vanish, or at least go into a scroll-able box? Anyone have any ideas on what I could do menu wise to make our website easier on the eye, and more pleasant to use on a mobile? As at the moment, when viewed on a phone, you have to scroll past our massive menu just to get to the page content.. Hope this makes sense! Thanks
  7. Hi, I'm been searching for a VPS (Preferably) or a Dedicated Server to my store, the problem here it's that we want to reduce costs (not easy with our quantity of products). Now we're working with Amazon EC2 but it's a little bit expensive and it's not managed. Do you know the specifications for a store like this?: +5700 Products 10000 Monthly visits 150 Orders daily I hope you can help me. Our budget is limited. Hope we can find a VPS for just $1.00
  8. I am planning a store with an estimated 60,000 products and possibly 100,000 products. On a test I found that so many products significantly slowed down Prestashop, even when I did not use categories. Is there any to optimize and speed up Prestashop for this amount of products? Thanks for your time.
  9. I have a client who had produced several teaching DVDs. About eight, with possibly more on the way. We've converted them to MP4s and even have iPhone / iPad versions of the video. Now comes the time to select a shopping cart! Presta Shop is high in the running, but I'm having reservations about the delivery of these large files. Each file is 700MB. Complicating matters, the client wants to sell the videos in bundles as well. That means either delivering as many as 8 x 700MB files or a single 6.6GB file. That seems to be a no-go in PrestaShop as a result of memory needs. To keep PrestaShop in the running, I'm thinking about merely releasing download URLs. The files will be hosted by myself, people will make a purchase and then the URLs will be released to them via email much like a product-key style transaction. How does this sound to the wiser PrestaShop implementers out there? My main concerns are: URL sharing. (Don't want people sharing the download URL, but it might not be a huge problem) URL obfuscation. (I'd really like to give a "dummy" URL that's pretty, such as ClientDomain.com/go/Video1 that in reality brings the file from mybackendserver/client1/storage/videofiles/set1/video1) Prompt delivery of the URL. What say ye? Am I mad? Am I asking for trouble? I really just want to be able to deliver many hundreds of MBs of digital product to customers in the nicest way possible without tanking my server's PHP settings.
  10. Hey guys I really need your help! I have been adding products and product images since yesterday, yesterday all was fine.. Today im getting errors and i cannot upload images anymore.. I havent changed anything.. My permissions are all good.. The errors i get are: error while copying image: home error while copying image: large error while copying image: medium error while copying image: small error while copying image: thickbox How is this possible? And how to fix? I wanted to get my catalog ready today, so i can move toward launch of my webshop but this messes thing up.. I tried downscaling my images, because i thought it might have to do with size but nothing works, + yesterday i was able to upload pictures ( 1mb) without a problem.. Please Help!!!
  11. Hi, I am using Prestashop v1.4.6.2 I am facing the following problem : My goal was to have the "large' image in Categories So, on the administration Panel > Preferences > Images > Medium (80 x 80 pixels) - I unchecked Categories on the administration Panel > Preferences > Images > Large (300 x 300 pixels) - I did checked Categories I regenerated the thumbnails The category image does display properly. But the trouble is that the thumbnail for any sub-category is replaced by a question mark. And the image related source code remains the following : <img width="80" height="80" alt="" src="/c/2735-medium-xxxxx.jpg"> instead of being update to <img width="300" height="300" alt="" src="/c/2735-large-xxxxx.jpg"> To solve the matter, I also tried to force the compilation to re-generate the htaccess file, tu uncheck the cache. But nothing was efficient. Has anyone any idea ? Thank you in advance for any help. Patrick
