Hello, So I found the perfect module for me for customers to personalise their products. It did work briefly. Now it does not show a preview in the cart page and I can not empty the cart. This was all present before. I have freshly installed 1.7.6 but the same issued did happen on previous versions. It seems that the most straightforward things in Prestashop dont work. Too many third party modules are needed to be purchased to make everything work which should be standard for an e-commerce application. Simple taxes without any modifications don't work with any combination of rules. Why they don't work out of the box is unknown. Simple expectation: Taxes should be applied according to the country where the product is to be shipped. Actual Behaviour: A single tax for USA is applied to customers from all countries. This is totally unacceptable, I think i made a mistake with prestashop. Should have used something else.

Hello Everyone! I've buy a new domain for host my website with PrestaShop but I'm very scarce! I've uploaded manually the file of CMS and I've installed as well, the backoffice works but some menu are impossible to use, as you can see in image below. And the issue much important is that the frontoffice don't work! If I surf on it, after some seconds of loadings, it print me "ERR_TOO_MANY_REDIRECTS". But some pages of the website works, let me take an example: example.com/ (MAKE ERROR) example.com/admin (not the backoffice access, THE PAGE WORKS with error 404) If you could help me I would be very grateful.

PS 1.7.6.2 to 1.7.6.3 PHP 7.3 MySQL: 10.1.41-MariaDB First of all, I know that 1.7.6 does not fully support the php version 7.3. But I have been using it since version 1.7.6.1. I had no problems. I share pictures of the problems I have experienced below. I have two different sites. a site updated without problems. The other site was updated without problems, but I found some problems. The first problem is related to the theme. I installed and deleted several different themes. Maybe it was because of this. How can I solve this.? My other problem is related to the Customer Reassurance module. This module has become very transparent as it appears in the pictures. It gets better when I reset the module and update it again. Hi, guys. I'm having some problems with my backoffice. First: When I was trying to add an specific price to some of the products in the store, I noticed that some of the prices had and extra 0.000001 added to the price and when I tried to change it, I could not do it. Second: I got around the problem by adding CLP 10 to the price of the product and then apply the specific price so it would look kind of normal in the home page (the discount that was showing was 20000.000001 instead of 20000. The problem now was that, by adding a new specific price to this product, setting it to last only 15 days, the other products with specific prices changed the duration of the price to the same as the product that I just changed. I'm sorry for my english. If anybody can help me with this, thank you.

Hello fellow entrepreneurs, so my store is based in Costa Rica, never had an issue with PS 1.4 and PayPal until recently I upgraded to 1.6 I like my site to be in the native currency Colones (like before), people went through the checkout process in colones, on the last step (still displaying colones), customers will click on Pay and they were taken to PayPal where it did the conversion for them to pay in dollars. Now I get an error, sure I could make dollars the default currency and solve this issue but then again some customers don't feel welcome shopping in dollars (even when they use PayPal, they can still pay for the amount in Colones and PayPal deducts from their cards in Colones if they wish, that's completely up to them two). So I was thinking that maybe if the module was forced to update the currency (going from colones to dollars) on the last checkout step, this way the payment is presented to PayPal in the currency they like (dollars or one of the other 24 they support). Or does anybody knows another way around? The issue is that I want my customers to shop in colones and pay via PayPal in any way they want, but when Prestashop sends the request to PayPal in colones, it simply returns an error. cheers, AJ

Hello for some reason I'am not receiving confirmation emails for orders by users, I did everything I could to try and fix it by going into the mail settings and setting them to my custom email with my host, I tried uninstalling mail alert and then reinstalling it and it doesn't work. Can someone please help me? Also my host doesn't support SMTP. I'll provide anything you need, thank you.

I have developed a new module for prestashop and it is using dompdf library for generating pdf. When I validate the module then I get some compatibility issues that are pointing to some errors that say: 'Class 'PDFLib' does not exists' 'Function 'pg_query()' does not exists' 'Function 'pg_escape_string()' does not exists' The above errors are coming in various files withing the dompdf library and I do not find a way to fix them. Please help.

Hello everyone, First, I apologize for the long post, but I believe this requires details. I am having these problems with shopping carts, on both PS 1.6.09 and 1.5.6 (I have two different stores): 1- when a customer (new or old) logs in, an empty ghost cart is created automatically in BO (showing 0.00 RON/EUR value). These empty shopping carts have the "delete" option, but I don't think that creating empty carts at login is normal behavior. 2- after placing an order, the shopping cart is converted into an order and it's visible in "orders" section, but it also remains in the "customers/shopping carts" section, without the "delete" option there. 3- in 1.5.6 only, I have enabled the guest check-out option. In this store I have guest shopping carts that have not been transformed into orders but are still in in the "customers/shopping carts" section and do not have the "delete" option. 4- I have noticed that the Shopping Cart ID's are not in order, but are in a random order, on both 1.6.09 and 1.5.6. Whereas the Orders ID's are in the right order. Does anyone encountered these issues and managed to fix them? What would be the appropriate way of fixing these issues, without re-installing PS from scratch? I also mention: - On both stores BO's I have been using the "database optimization" module from https://mypresta.eu/modules/administration-tools/database-optimization.html, but I have stopped using it after I had issues with the shopping cart in FO (users could not add products to cart, or had products in cart that were not added by them). - I checked and fixed the database with Prestashop Cleaner official module and the FO shopping carts issues were fixed, but I still have the above issues in BO. - Both stores use non-default themes. Hi all, I received an email from the company that hosts one of my client's site. In the email they inform me that they are upgrading the server to php 5.4 and that they will disable the mail function. Even though they emailed links with a step-by-step guide to configurate SMTP emails for Joomla!, Wordpress and custom code, they didn't do the same for Prestashop users. So my questions are: 1) Will the php upgrade mess my Prestashop store (version 1.5.6.0) in some way? Are there any known issues? 2) Does Prestashop use the mail function for sending the automatic emails, and if so, what can I do to keep the service running correctly after the mail function is disabled? I'm backing up the site and the database as I write. I hope nothing goes wrong :/ Thanks in advance!

Hello, One of my clients has a prestashop 1.5.6 store, which has been working fine for quite some time. For about 1 week or so, an issue has arisen: Sometimes, when someone orders some products and pays by paypal, no order is visible in the backend, though the money is delivered via paypal. I've made a few test purchases, and after the paypal redirects me back to the website, I don't see any text on the order confirmationpage (it's not a blank page, I see the title, the menus, etc.. but no text to confirm the order). This issue seems to happen more often for the new customers, but every now and then existing customers have the same issue. I'm using PrestaShop 1.5.6, Paypal 3.6.1 and a Paypal Business (PRO) account. The issue only appears if I choose "Paypal Payments PRO Hosted" If I go with paypal payments standard, it works ok. Any help is highly appreciated.

Hi all, I have two issue when looking/creating at orders in the back-end, looking for solutions or fix's ideally. Order Messages Not all messages show on the order page. When I add a message on the order page there is no log of it, except in the customer service messages area. I aiming to use this just for employee notes, but as it doesn't appear on the order its effectively useless. after looking further customer reply's show up? Customization fields/files When add a product with a customization to a new order or alter one in the back-end, there is no way of inputting that information in the back-end even if required on a product? I have searched for solutions but nothing relating to version 1.6.0.9 Any help much appreciated

greetings i have been using the paypal module successful with quick check out, but inside the cart using registration process, the module does not function and leads to an error page. 2 screen shots attached - pls. see ... hope someone understands what i can do about that? thx

1.6.0.9 problem with translations titles in footer : 'Information , Best sellers ,Delivery, Legal Notice, Terms and Conditions of use, About us, Secure payment'. I managed to overwrite title 'Information' in blockcms.tpl, because I actually dont need original language in website at all. I need it Russian. The other ones I couldnt find option to translate in BO for them neither in blockcms.tpl or translations ru.php , en.php. I ve found it in blockcms.tpl calls up for "$cms_titles" in blockcms.php. But non of those 2 files have no line saying Terms and Conditions of use or Delivery. Anybody idea where I can change these titles?

I have a come across a few issues with Prestashop 1.6. 1. Social networking block - Adding the facebook URL in admin, does not save the URL, on save, the URL is deleted. 2. Adding thumbnails to main categories - When clicking upload, the following error appears - "JSON.parse: unexpected character". 3. Contact Information block - On save, the information is deleted. 4. Layered navigation module - categories are place in two columns and if the category name is more than a few characters in length, the layout looks a mess. This would be better as a single column. 5. Product page - If JqZoom is not enabled, then on the product page, clicking on the zoom icon does not open a larger image. Clicking on one of the thumbnails underneath te main image does open a larger image though. 6. Not a problem, but you really need to be a forensic scientist if you want to enable the the left column on the product page. A guide to this could be helpful. 7. Products in same category module - The previous and next buttons are a light grey and appear on top of the thumbnails so cannot be seen on most images. They are also rather small. 8. The same forensic science degree is required if you want to change the add to cart button on the product page to anything but blue. 9. Featured products on shopping cart module - When enabled, the images are stretched vertically and out of proportion. 10. HINT - Under advanced parameters / performance, disable smart cache for CSS if you want to use something like Firefox - inspect element to track the CSS for elements, otherwise you will be searching the cache files. Re-enable it when finished creating the store. 11. HINT 2 - When Upgrading from a previous version. the default theme is messed up and the slider vanishes. Making a new theme in admin and copying the default theme into it, seems to clear these issues. Aside from the above issues, my store is almost complete and ready to go live and this version is a great improvement on the previous versions.

i am using Prestashop 1.6.0.8 website - http://buzzpublishing.net/shop i have uninstalled many modules currently have only 44 installed and enabled modules. still the back end of prestashop is very very slow. It takes hell of a time to add products. The front end of the website is fine. Please give me any ideas or solutions about how to improve speed of back end.

There are two issues with blockpermanentlink's bookmark (zu Favoriten) at hesper-verlag.de First miracle: why I can see the link "zu Favoriten" (located upper left in lower header very small font) in Firefox but not in Opera or Chrome? Second miracle: why the link does not work? Oh, my template "Venus" is a handmade workout from the standard template of PS V1.5 and the 1clickupdate to 1.6.08 went succsessful. We are on 1.6.09 now. The bookmark issue appears since 1.5. I made all checks in TPL and CSS and so on. This statement seems to be ok (since I've read other threads here in forum). Maybe some interested experienced surfer will come along my customer's prestashop (http://www.hesper-verlag.de) to have a look? When the mouse is pointing "zu Favoriten" you can see the browser's footer message: This statement doesn't work at all but anyway, you must have a great day. Best regards Martin

It's been a couple of days that I'm trying to upgrade my PS 1.5 to 1.6 and i think that apart of a couple of issues everything is working as intended. I'm upgrading using 1 click update because manual update did not produce any descent results. Some issues I'm really concerned abut (i'm working on localhost): The little prestashop icon at the top left on the Back Office spins forever, it does not happen if i create a fresh installation of 1.6 (attachment 1) The themes admin on the updated store is different if i compare it to the fresh install (attachment 2) -What am I doing wrong, should i deactive my template before upgrading? - What does that spinner on top-left and why it is spinning forever? Hi PrestaShoppers. This community gave a lot goods to me. Software, upgrades, hints and all these kindly stuff. Now I give something back to you, because after screwing, fiddeling and reading around like a maniac, I know how to solve the most upgrade issues. If there occure problems after upgrading (in my case 1.5 to 1.6.0.8), just reinstall the regarding module. Thats all. Don't mind about the content of the module. It remains in your database, even if you click deinstall and it will appear again after you clicked the install button. I wish, I would have known this before all that action. Now you know.
