I trying to import some producto to catalog, this file have a size 3MG with 95000 products. When process is started, i open console Javavascript and see some POST each 3,4 or 5 second. How can increase velocity import? I need update prices frecuently

Hello, I have found a solution, that works for me. I had an error (time out) for CSV import. Some of you may solve this having modified httaccess or php.ini files. But, I dont know why - for me it wasnt a solution. I have upgraded my PS in two steps. Firt step from 1.4.2.5 to 1.4.11 and the second one from 1.4.11 to 1.5.4.1 The upgrading process finished without any problem and when I was trying to import a new language into the version 1.5.4.1 the program finished with this error " Property Tab->name is empty " How can fix it ?. Hi, I've got the idea that the importing-csv function has some issues. PS version 1.5.5.0 One of them is importing combinations. It seems that the field quantity remains 0 instead of 1. that resolves in the fact that the combination (and therefor the price adjustment of 6.05) is not included into the price.shown part of csv-file : Product ID* Attribute (Name:Type:Position)* Value (value:Positiion)* Impact on price standard Minimal QTY Qty 509 Heffing ThuisKopie (wettelijke verplicht):Radio € 6.05 5,00 1 1 1 Manually editing combinations in the product and setting the quantity to 1, then regenerate the combinations results in a "good price" I've edited the database structure file ps_product_atribute field quantity to "1" but has no affect. Can anyone tell me what would be the right solution, or is this issue a "bug" i the import-module Tnx Arie csv file attribute.txt

I am trying to import multiple subcategories (3 levels or more) and have set my field separator to "," My file contents are as follows: ID,Active,Root,Parent,Name,Meta Title 1000,1,0,Home,Product List ,Product List 1001,1,0,Product List ,Crystals,Crystals 1002,1,0,Crystals,Tumbled,Tumbled 1003,1,0,Product List ,Massage Tools,Massage Tools 1004,1,0,Massage Tools,Oils,Oils When simply importing Category -> Subcategory I have no problem, but when I try to do Category -> Subcat -> Subcat, I get an unexpected token < error. Does anyone know how to create a file that will do what I need for it to do? If so, can you provide a sample file? Thanks multi-sub-cat-test - Copy.txt -
Hi! After importing products and categories through csv files i get an 404 error, page not found. Everything is in system, both, products and categories and nothing disabled. (Used google but found nothing relevant) Ty For any advice -
I installed v1.6 the wrong way (downloaded file and copied over old file and tried going to the /install/ folder) - not sure why as its been years since updates used to run that way. Having been running Prestashop since, I think, v1.3 and upgrading each time; I figured I have probably messed and changed things so much in that time that a fresh install would be quite nice. Might even make things a bit quicker since I'm on a cheap shared hosting plan. I was wondering the best way to create a fresh install of Prestashop and then import products/categories/customers/orders/CMS. Have tried a fresh install and then just changing the database the fresh v1.6 looks at to look at the old database but it doesn't seem to work very well.

Hi. I just installed a clean version of PS 1.5.5.0 With an excisting ( good) csv-file I've imported products. Weird is that the field of the image url-location is not filled with the approprate info. System says that image can't be copied Imgae file does excist on server. To test I installed another PS 1.5.4.1 and used the same csv-file. All is going OK. image is shown After updating PS to version 1.5.5.0 image is still shown Than when I use the same csv file again to import products ( yes a second product with the same data is created) I get the error message that the image file can't be copied Perhaps there is a "bug" in the import-module ?? Tnx for any solutions

Hi, Importing first language of products.csv is importing successfully. After that, importing the second language is importing successfully too. But, at the backoffice/catalog/products page, clicking any product (Product global information) the tags field's first language contents changes to second languages contents. I am selecting the first language, but the tags field again showing the tags in second language. Second lang. overwriting the First lang. tags. Except this problem, everything is successfully importing for first and second languages. Prestashop could not corrected this problem for a long time. All past versions that I've used, always I sawed this problem. Does someone know how to correct this? Regards -
Hi everyone, Ive uploaded some new categories by importing a CSV. It gives the following warning for the images: "http://mydomain.com/import/image.jpg" cannot be copied (Where obivously the mydomain, etc. are the proper domain/path/link) I can see the images without a problem in a browser, Ive also set the folder and all the images to have 777 permission, but it still gives me this problem. Where is this coming from? Any help is greatly appreciated. -
Hi, I'm trying to import my products using a .csv file but when trying to do, I am unable to expand the column data after importing the csv file and can't check my data. as a result I get loads of errors on the next screen and my products fail to import. i also included a screen shot of the errors after I imported the products csv file. Any help would be kindly appreciated. Thank you very much. Please see attached files.

Hi everybody :-( i've got a serious problem... I'm migrating customers from an old e-commerce to a new prestashop e-commerce... To import customers i've done this: IMPORT ALL NECESSARY FIELDS FROM MY OLD CUSTOMER TABLE TO THE NEW ps_customer TABLE. I've converted the old (clear) password to: MD5(CONCAT('MY_COOKIE_KEY',my_old_pwd)) and i've insert the secure_key as MD5(rand()). All is OK, but when i try to login, it returns me to LOGIN PAGE every time!! THE STRANGE THING IS THAT prestashop recognize the correct password, because if i insert the correct password, it simply return me to the login page, but if i try to insert a wrong password it returns to login page with error "LOGIN INCORRECT"... Please help me i don't know what to do! -
HI, Im trying to speed up the process of adding products to my website, reading up on CSV files and how they work. When I went into my back office to find the Prestashop examples of CSV files, there wasn't any. Can any one help me, Im new to this. Looking for some example files and what to do. Hi all, I am trying to import a .csv with 60 items in it but I cannot get it to import correctly. When uploading the whole file, I manage to get the first 23 records uploaded before it stops. When uploading the last half of rows only (30-60), none of the products import successfully. The fields are all separated by semi-colons (, multiple values separated by commas (,) as per Prestashop instructions. I make sure to skip line 1, I have tried both deleting and not deleting all products before import as well as making sure the rows are named correctly (e.g. Name = Name, ID = ID), I have also tried with and without ID's. I have tried encasing each field in speech marks (" ") but this seems to make no difference. I noticed that 2/3 of the records have the description or name missing when uploading them - I have omitted these from the file and attempted to upload again and this has still not worked. These records do not have any unusual characters or characters that are not used in other records that are showing correctly. I have checked the files and they look fine when opening the .csv in notepad++ or Excel. My version of PS is 1.4.7.3. Any help would be much appreciated! I found it is inconsistent between sample CSV import Files and the columns prestashop actually uses regarding "products_import.csv" when I was trying to import the products file. In the sample product CSV file the columns are as following, ID Active (0/1) Name * Categories (x,y,z...) Price tax excl. Tax rules ID Wholesale price On sale (0/1) Discount amount Discount percent Discount from (yyyy-mm-dd) Discount to (yyyy-mm-dd) Reference # Supplier reference # Supplier Manufacturer EAN13 UPC Ecotax Weight Quantity Short description Description Tags (x,y,z...) Meta-title Meta-keywords Meta-description URL rewritten Text when in stock Text when backorder allowed Available for order Product creation date Show price Image URLs (x,y,z...) Hi All, Okay so I'm new here, but I've tried searching for any term I thought this may be used under before posting this. So I'm sorry if I've missed it if a thread exists. I'm developing a website and this is the first time I've used Prestashop. Its a whitelabel site so importing via CSV is the way I have to update my products, however as I'm not wanting to drop ship, so each of the products has a separate link which contains our affiliate code. This is already included in the csv file, but what can I do to get it implemented in the upload? Is there a way or a module with which I can customize a link to add it to cart but keep within my site before checking out on the affiliates site? What would be the best way of going about it? Hi, I have problems trying to uploading products from csv into my prestashop 1.4. I can upload the categories list fine but when I imported the csv file the product details show up out of the order (price becomes O, names got shorten or sth else appears, and they don't link to the categories). I tried follow the instruction closely from this thread but have no success. I've attached a few screen short here. When I entered the product manually through the BO, they appear just fine. But because I have 300 products so I want to bulk upload to save time. Initially I hired someone from freelancer to help me do the import but he couldn't do it and said something's wrong with my prestashop database particularly re-indexing (and that he doesn't prefer working with prestashop so I have no idea why he accepted my job in the first place). Any advices is greatly appreciate. I should have posted this in the main thread. I apologize. If the moderator could move it I'd be really appreciate. Thank you.
