hello guys, This is dany from lebanon. I hope someone can help me with an issue that i've been facing for 2 days. I am working on a 1.6.3.3 prestashop website on my server: http://162.246.19.206:666/prestashop now when i try to change the domain name and shop url to www.barlivery.com all i am seing after the domain name has been forwarded to http://162.246.19.206:666/prestashop is the following URL: www.barlivery.com/prestashop/index.php i am getting redirect to this URL. I am using port 666 as port 80 is being used by iis for a different website build in asp.net. so i am supposed to run apache on 666 port. The website is installed under htdocs/prestashop/ any help is highly appreciated, Thanks in advance, Dany

Hello, I have some trouble. We need to setup a Multistore but I don't know how to configure the Domain Name to point to the Shop. We have Shop 1 installed and the Multistore is setup. The Settings looks good and the Shop seems to be configurated correctly but the Domain Name for shop 2 is not pointing right. We only come to the server side not to the Shop. As far as I understood, Prestashop is manageing redirection on it's own, but it's not working. We are using CPanel as Server Control. And the Domains DNS are correctly configured and the Domain is parked under the same account and IP as the "Master Shop" Thanks for helping Marc

Hi, "My domains and certificates" section is empty in "Store details" page. Why our domain name is not visible and how do I add it? When I try to "Add an existing domain name", the "Select your store" drop down list is empty as well. And if I put our domain name in the lower box and click "Configure your domain" comes "This domain name is already registered" under the box. How can I fix this? Jukka

Bonjour à tous, Je souhaiterais changer mon nom de domaine, sachant que le nouveau DNS est hebergé sur le même serveur que l'ancien... je souhaite simplement faire le changement de ce nom de domaine sans avoir à faire des modifs de base de données ou d'avoir à transférer les fichiers... Je suis herbergé chez OVH. Est-ce que quelqu'un l'a déjà fait, notamment en passant par une console ssh pour faire les modifs directement dans Apache ? Je recherche une méthode simple... pour les redirections, je les ferai ensuite dans le htaccess en permanent. Je vous remercie ! Johann

Hi Everybody, I read at the documentation that if I need my store to be available both through its raw domain name and it's www-prefixed version (for example, my-store.co.uk and www.my-store.co.uk), I have to add the domain name with the www. in the "Store details" page of my store.. But I tried many times, and the page always shows: This domain name is already registered. Which is not real... I only succesfull added my domain name WITHOUT www. prefix. Using my tickets I asked about the trouble with support, and haven't get a solution.... they answer that is DNS setting problem..... but I had already done the settings before and actually my domain without www. is working fine......... (doc.prestashop.com/display/CLOUD/Managing+domain+names) I've read all posts about Prestashop Cloud and haven't find an concrete solution, Please, can anybody help me with this trouble? Hi I wanted to migrate a shop to another server so I set the shop up on the new server under a spare domain name. The shop was originally on 1.4 so I upgraded it to 1.6 and then solved any issues from there. After several months testing I decided to perform the live migration and backed up the DB from the old site as it had new customers signed up. I changed the domain name from the old site to the new site and I then imported the DB to the new site using PHPMyAdmin. After the update was done the shop would not work. I only got what looked like a mobile site with no products. I tried going into SEO and URL and refreshed the .htaccess file in there but I noticed that in that page of the admin interface I had a MySQL error. I have a weebly website and a hosted domain name. I am wanting to expand my online business and build a new website with PrestaShop - can I use PrestaShop if I do not need their web hosting?

Good evening everybody Here is my problem, i want to move my prestashop website from the FTP client to my local machine for testing purposes, however all the links of the moved website stay unchanged withe the domain name site.com instead of site.dev Is there any way to replace the old domain name by the new one that i've specified in the host file ? (Meaning instead of having site.com/index.php i'll will have site.dev/index.php) Is a such thing possible ? Any help will be welcome and much appreaciated Thanks in advance

Hello, I want to know how to have 2 domain name pointing to the same shop. My client had an OSCommerce shop and 2 domain name pointed to this shop. She asked me to make the migration to Prestashop. Done. Now she wants to keep these two domain name. As do I? Sorry for my English.

Hello all, I have 3 languages (EN, FR, SP) on my shop mydomain.com with a location detection module. So I have mydomain.com/fr and mydomain.com/es 1/ SEO Question Is it better to keep my configuration or to have one language by domain with redirection to mydomain.fr and mydomain.es ? 2/ Technical Question If it's better to have a redirection to .fr and .es, how to do that ? I have : mydomain.com (main domain, OVH server) mydomain.fr (multidomain under mydomain.com, OVH server) I created a multidomain and my FTP is : /www for mydomain.com & /mydomain.fr for mydomain.fr Is this correct ? I put the same IP address in the DNS section Is this correct ? I bought a module "language by domain". After configured it, I generate a new htaccess I have error 404... I have a small peise of code in .httpaccess to redirect my non-www domain name to www domain name, that is redirect http://lovestation.com.au to http://www.lovestation.com.au follow by the code from rocky. It was working fine for a while but recently I discovered that if I type http://lovestation.com.au at address bar, it will redirect it to http://www.lovestation.com. (without .au) My domain name was hijacked! Could anyone help me out with this issue please? Thanks
