Hello, After playing with Virtuemart and Magento I decided to give it a go to Prestashop. I am about to start a project with following projection: 20.000 Products 4.000 Visitors / Daily I need to plan every detail with sustainability in mind. Sometimes store would hit about a 10.000 visitor at once to buy limited offers, such as big discounts for a Smart TV. I am planning to go with dedicated server with following specs: Intel Core I5 2400 3.10GHZ 6MB 750 GB SATA 8 GB or 16 GB RAM Linux Centos 6.5 + CPANEL WHM (ISO) Will this server handle Prestashop with high availability? I am also thinking about Amazon RDS MySql. What do you suggest? ​Thank you so much for your time and precious comments. I’m looking to purchase a web hosting solution using a dedicated webserver for the first time and would love some pointers from the UK-based market as I’d like to keep things local and I’m in the UK! hi, I have developed my first eCommerce website on a local server. Now i want to transfer it to a web hosting server. I am confused with the shared, vps, cloud vps and dedicated server. which one should i go with? Also the web hosting company asked me about the system requirement for hosting. They asked me the following: 1. How many processors required? 2. How much of RAM is required? 3. How much of disk space? 4. How much of bandwidth? 5. Which operating system, LINUX or Windows? 6. Number of IP Addresses? 7. Control Panel required? Can someone please guide me with this matter. I reside in India, can someone from India recommend me the best hosting partner. regards.....

Now we're working with Amazon EC2 but it's a little bit expensive and it's not managed. I have a dedicated server, with several domains, some configured with dedicated ip's and others are virtual domains under de dedicated ip domains. I have my head store1 installed in: - domain1.com domain1 has a dedicated ip and own account in cpanel question: I have an existing operational domain domain2.com, which I only want a subdirectory pointing to the second store2 I configure in the head store (store1) Detailed: So I install prestashop 1.5 on domain1.com, enable multistore, configure store2 So how do I now get domain2.com/subdirectory pointing to the store2? Do I need to do this with rewrite, change of cname, some kind of changes in cpanel? please help thx
