Prestashop version: 1.6 I'm looking for a payment gateway or module that accepts some of the major credit cards (American Express, Visa, Discovery, MasterCard) that is free or doesn't cost too much. I'd looked at Authorized.net but they have a steep fee of $25. Anyone here know of a cheaper alternative for a new store that possibly charges on a percentage basis or only when a customer makes payment, etc?

Hi, We are running an e-commerce site out of Dubai using Prestashop. We are now getting an online payment gateway from Mashreq Bank through Payfort. Would like to know if anyone has experience of integrating similar online payment gateways here in UAE. Is there any module we can use?

Hello, I've been running successful prestashop 1.6.0 store since March of this year using tsohost as a server but it has grown so much that we're thinking about better offer or even VPS. We have about 300 unique visits and 10 high value orders daily, growing very fast. Linux VPS £70 is what we definitely can afford. Can you please recommend any host for us? We'd like to increase loading speed of our site, so we have better SEO score. Also, we recently received information from PayPal that we have to be compliant with PCI DSS. Can somebody please explain how to do this? We process credit card payments online through our site. Is this third party service or part of hosting service? I was looking for some benchmark but couldn't find any. Will appreciate any answer. Kind regards

Hi everyone, Like to check. When a customer pays money via paypal, will paypal auto-update my store that the customer has made payment? Or do I have to login to paypal dashboard and manually check the order status. Then I need to check my bank account manually that the money is already into my bank account. Next, only I will update the status of the order to "payment accepted"? With that, I will only ship the goods to the customer. Is this the right way in PrestaShop ecommerce? If I have to manually check all this, wouldn't it affect the delivery time frame? After all, some transactions can be fraud which may take more time for banks to verify payment. Any help? Thanks.

I guess Paypal is trying to pivot their customers from VISA MASTERCARD so they have removed all the mastercard / visa graphics from their in-module logos. They have also made it harder to use express credit card checkout it seems. So I figure I now have to pay for the Paypal Pro and be able to change the logos and texts... But when I choose paypal pro, and log into the Paypal page from there, it states that "Paypal Pro is not available" Has anyone else encountered this? Any workarounds?

Hi everyone, I have recently set up an ecommerce built on Prestashop. I've tried to customize it as much as I could with my short knowledge of how Prestashop works and this is the result: www.clorofillabioshop.it. I have made a payment module for my client bank credit card gateway, called BNL Positivity. I know that someone is selling it as payed module, but I wanted to make my own. As you could probably test, the shop takes the buyer to the payment page and lands on the POS page as well. You can try making a fake payment, if you mind. It is still in test-mode. The payment gateway needs 2 parameters to manage the OK and the KO events. What are the supposed links to pass to the payment module? Is there any page, controller or whatsoever that could be called in case of success, so that the order can be positively stored in the database? As for now, I get the payment and let the gateway point to shopurl/success.php (that dosn't exist), but I must be able to store the order in case of OK event and present an error page (or the order summary page and a GET paramenter that, if present, could open an error message) in case of KO event. Any help would be highly appreciated. Thank you all.

Hello, I am developing a credit card module payment for prestashop 1.5 (Actually I try to migrate it from 1.4 to 1.5). How can I make it to send email with the invoice to the customer on the completion of the order? Also how can I make the order to appear to the back-end? I suppose there is some difference between the two versions of prestashop.. Thanks a lot,

I am having an issue with credit card processing. All payments are going through, but the trouble is that, when my client tests it using a credit card and intentionally uses an incorrect [spam-filter] number AND/OR Exp Date to test it, the purchase STILL goes through. (A side note: I just tried testing a credit card. I purchased one item. Proceeded to checkout (non-registered use). My first test purchase DID go through WITH a bad [spam-filter] number. BUT my other test did NOT go through using bad Exp Date.) I think there is something in the settings that I need to change, but don't know what to do. I'm wondering if the settings for AVS and/or [spam-filter]2 for First Data are too high or too low? OR, if the PrestaShop settings in the backend are too high or too low. I spoke with First Data and they told me that the site is not configured properly to send info to gateway. They said my shopping cart is not sending the AVS or [spam-filter]2 info along with the transaction to the gateway, then, ultimately to card issuing bank. Since the transaction info is not there, the bank has nothing to verify, then it sends it as "not available" back to the gateway. I am currently using PS version 1.5.4.1 and have asked the theme developer if upgrading to 1.5.5.0 will help. He does not guarantee it, but said it is worth a try. I hired a developer to help me with this site a few weeks ago (he is very good and has 9 years of PS experience), but he cannot seem to resolve the issue described. The module we are using is the default module that came with PS: First Data 1.2.1. We are also using an appointment booking module and I wonder if that is the source which is creating the javascript issues. I've had a few other developers glance at the site and they all seem to agree that it is a JS problem. Thank you for any help you can offer!

Hi everyone! First, thank you for this wonderful cart and community, I am loving my first attempts at development for PrestaShop so far. I am new to web development in general but have been making solid progress doing some customizations for fraud prevention. One of the things I always want to help merchants do is to look at the BIN of a credit card, because this can help prevent a lot of fraud. On some carts that I've developed for, it is very straightforward to get the credit card number, because it is stored in an array, e.g. $order_info['payment_info']. This is the same place it is stored during the checkout process regardless of the payment gateway. However, it seems that this is not the case for PrestaShop? Is it correct that every payment gateway stores the cc info in its own unique way? If possible, I would like to know how I can get the BIN information whenever a credit card is used in the store, with any payment gateway. Is it available in something that is accessible by all modules? Or do I have to do something like... if (selected payment method == 'authorizeaim') { $bin = substr($this->pcc->card_number, 6); } elseif (selected payment method == 'stripe') { $bin = substr($result_json->card->number, 6); } elseif (selected payment method == 'othergateway') { $bin = substr($othergateway_card_details['cc_number'], 6); } ... The above code is not valid, just demonstrating the process of doing something different to retrieve the BIN depending on which payment gateway is being used. Thanks for any help!

For some reason, lately had a problem in a checkout process. When my customers are sent to paypal, it all goes OK, they enter the credit card number > paypal confirm the card number > then the customers get the error message Fatal error (Address -> address1 is empty) At this point, the transaction did not complete, paypal did not charge anything, and no order in the order history from back office. prestashop 1.4.11 Sounds like the address field doesnt transfer FROM my shop to paypal or FROM paypal TO the shop. I even tryied creating a new user account, the problem remains.
