Hello guys! It's my first post, so please, understand me if I'm doing something wrong. I have a question: How can I refacture code in template to display images and related delete button of products which are stored in comparision? I want to store it in one div on product category page. I've tried to include comparision file on this category file, but nothing happened - probably because of missing controller, as I supose. Regards and thank you for information!

The product comparison is not working with the default PS 1.5.1.0 theme. When i select 2 or 3 products to compare, the comparison page shows "There are no products selected for comparison".

Hi there. We are deciding between eCommerce platforms for our business. We've whittled it down to four options (Jigoshop, Prestashop, Magento, OpenCart) but may I trouble you for help in assessing the implementation costs? First of all, to brief you on our functional requirements: 1) We sell SEO link rental services to clients and B2B to other SEO companies. We want our clients to be able to select a combination of link rental services of various strengths, adding for example 20x bronze, 10x silver, and 2x gold links to their cart 2) For every link they order, we need two text fields (the target URL and anchor text). This would mean we need 20+10+2=32 pairs of these two text fields in the above case. 3) Customers should then be able to alter the amounts of each type of link in their cart, then sign up to be billed the cart total amount every month. 4) They should later be able to login to: 4.1) Change the values in said text fields (64 fields in the above example) 4.2) Add or remove links of each type (automatically altering the cost of their monthly subscription) 4.3) Cancel their subscription entirely 5) We should be informed via webhook or email when such changes occur, with just the data items that changed. 6) We also want to charge for reports that have a base price + a per-page surcharge, and a total multiplier. ie: So if a SEO report costs $200 + $5/page, then a 10-page report would be $250, but if they also want us to implement the recommendations in the report, then we multiply the $250 total by 2.5 times, making the new total $625. 7) Finally, we want to automatically email new clients with a once-off referral coupon code that adds two free links to the next order for them and the friend they refer. (ie: We want to add freebies instead of discounting price, and track where coupons are used) Now, my questions are: A) How much of this can PrestaShop do already? Please address each point above, because we need a detailed response to make our assessment. How much will we need to spend on plugins to get it happening? C) Which areas will require custom development? D) Is there an API for future extensibility? E) Is there an audit trail to log staff actions? Thank you in advance for your detailed response. I am most grateful for your time. Paul Harvey Corporate SEO +61424225495 skype:harvest316 Sydney, Australia

There are two buttons in a products list "Add to whishlist" and "Add to compare". But when I show product details only "Add to my whishlist" is available. Two questions: 1. How to add "Add to compare" and "Compare" buttons also on product details page? 2. How to style "Add to whishlist" and "Add to compare" with different icons (like the one in front of "Add to my whishlist" under product details)? Thanks. Regards, Grega

I recently upgraded my shop to 1.5.2. When we try to use the compare feature with any products, it always brings me to the 404 page. I have tried disabling friendly urls and and regenerating the htaccess file, but then it just redirected to the home page. I've tried updating the files related to products comparison. It still does not work. Does anyone have suggestions on how to fix this or have you even experienced this?

I'm using 1.5.3 and when I go to compare products, it gives the option to view the Product Comments for each product being compared. But when I click on the View Reviews link it just refreshes the page. I'm using the default Product Comments module and I found the coding in the the default files- not template files. The code is in modules/productcomments/products-comparison.tpl {if isset($product_comments[$id_product]) AND $product_comments[$id_product]} <a href="#" rel="#comments_{$id_product}" class="cluetip">{l s='View Reviews' mod='productcomments'}</a> I'm assuming it's the href="#" portion because that's obviously a blank place holder, but I'm unsure what should go there in order for it to call to the correct product comments for each individual product. Any ideas? Thanks in advance! website is www.thesafetycollar.com if you need to see for yourself.

Hi! i got error with checkbox of comparison with default theme. if you try to add product to compare in manufacture page, and click on compare button Then you come back to view product in manufacture page. you will see the checkbox ( add to compare) is not auto checked. Prestashop coder for get add the code if (isset($this->context->cookie->id_compare)) $this->context->smarty->assign('compareProducts', CompareProduct::getCompareProducts((int)$this->context->cookie->id_compare)); in function initContent() of 2 controllers ManufacturerController.php SupplierController.php I hope, prestashop can fix it in new version !!!

Hello. I've ran across a problem in Prestashop where the product comparison checkboxes will uncheck themselves. To replicate the problem, all you have to do is check an item to compare, then quickly click the "Compare" button (or the equivalent). The item will become unchecked after you click the button. You can see the problem here: http://demo-store.prestashop.com/en/7-soaps It may seem like nobody will click it that fast anyway, but in our store, I'm changing the "Compare" text to a "Compare now" link when the box is checked, giving the user very quick access to comparing. But the pitfall is that they're able to check the box, then visit the comparison page quickly, which often leads to the box unchecking itself. Any solutions?

I'm looking to create a travel/hotel comparison site like booking.com, where you would earn a % if they book through your website. I'm only exploring this at the moment as I have someone close to me who is involved in the hotel business and they were wondering how difficult and expensive building a site like this would be. Is it possible to do with Prestashop?

Hi again guys, Hopefully a quick one, I guess I've chosen a setting wrong - when I compare two products on the front-end, it shows me features that are blank for both products (i have a LOT of features, and not all products require all features). Is there a way to only compare the features that the products actually have selections for? Thanks! Simon

Prestashop 1.4.5.1 Product features on product page look very ugly, cant see clear where are features and where are their values. On comparison page features and their values look very nice and clear (can see clearly where are features and where are their values) See the attached screen shot with both views. Is it possible to make product page features look like in comparison? It is very interesting why did they made comparison page features look nicer than product page features (which are viewed much oftener) ?
