Hi, I am using prestashop version 1.5.6 (tried twice to upgrade to 1.5.6.1 but gives some very weird results am waiting for 1.6 instead) How can I increase the character limit for importing TAGS via a CSV file. I updated my TAGS csv which previously worked fine in older versions and uploaded it via the Import function but it only imports the first 32 characters not the 200-300 characters that are in my Tags, this obviously has a knock on effect to Google and Bing etc If I manually enter the TAGS text it accepts longer than 32 characters. Obviously this is a work around but with 7769 products and growing it will be a never ending job to revisit each one in turn. I have checked on here but cannot find an answer. Any help much appreciated

Hi guys, I want to add a custom text field for customers for a specific product. I want to limit text field to 250 characters. Just for this product. I know I can add a text field via the back office > catalog > products > selected product > customization But how do I limit the amount of characters for this specific text field on this product? Using prestashop 1.6 Thank you so much.

I am using Prestashop version 1.6.0.15 I am updating items using the CSV import option. Each comes in a decorative gift box to complete the look, plus if it's a kitchen item then dolomite is food and microwave safe but cannot be put in the dishwasher.</p><p></p><p></p><p></p><p>Dimension</p><p>Height 10cm</p><p>Width 13.5cm</p><p>Depth 8.5cm</p> It is 512 characters in length (including spaces) It is saved in UTF-8 format It successfully uploads but only the first 391 characters appear within my shop. I can and have manually edited the product and all 512 characters go in and now work but there are another 2163 items in the same CSV file to double check for missing descriptions. Where have I gone wrong? Is there a character limit for the CSV import? If so what is the workaround for longer descriptions? Thanks in advance for your assistance

This will allow you to insert unlimited html tables & tags, icons, images, formatted text… but keep in mind it’s a short description! Summary of previous posts (Thanks to others) + minor changes for 1.5: In controlers/admin/AdminProductsController.php : replace 400 ->800 (or more) In theme/default/product-list.tpl : replace 360->760 (or whatever, or delete “truncate:360”) and delete “strip_tags:'UTF-8' “(The second one) Using ctrl+f in DW or notepad doesn’t matter I really wonder why PS offers a 10000 char html editor to cut everything out one page further … Be aware that importing html “as is” in csv files may lead to errors, Google it for more… Michel Sample: pneus-lyse.be, still PS 1.4 w/o table, 1.5 soon with more info...
