HI all, I faced wired problem and i don't understand why this occur, I was able to edit my categories menu when i edit them from catalog->products->categories. I mean if i edit the name of the categories the new name appearing on my menu , but for some reason if i delete a categories or re-name it the update of this action not shown anymore on my categories menu and still appearing even if i delete it!, if i update the name of this categories the old categories still shown and when i click on it i got error page with message to suggest me to move on new link of the categories which i update it! like this: [Debug] This page has moved Please use the following URL instead: https://tester.*****.cf/35-men-watchs but if i reset the name of the categories as like appearing on the site then it's opened as normal, but i really to change the name of the categories :| I hope to find a solution from your side

Hi Everyone Hi Vekia I am new to prestashop and I am trying to learn the basics. I have a new install 1.6.0.6 that has not been modified from the defaults when I navagate around the site to see what works there are some things that are broken. These functions don't appear to work. {Top bar catagories , } On all pages the dropdown menu doesn't work when curser is hovered , except for the homepage and product info page. {Top header shopping cart.} With products in cart, On all pages the dropdown doesn't work when curser is hovered , except for the homepage and product info page. {Sort products feature} On all pages that list multible products - best sellers, women,new products, ect -, none of the sort products options work, - price lowest first-, -product name A to Z,- ect { View by grid or list option} On all pages that list multible products, the option to show products by grid or as a list does not work. { left column product filter} On all pages that list multible products, the option to filter products by -size, color, styles-, does not work. I looked for a way to activate some of these things at the moduals ---Layered navigation block ---catagories block -- cart block but I found nothing. I have installed presta 1.6.0.6 with one click installer at server and manually and the same problems are there. The same problems can been seen on the softaculous.com prestashop demo site http://demos5.softaculous.com/PrestaShop/index.php And on the Prestashop demo site http://demo.prestashop.com/en/?view=front Are these features suppost to be activated somehow ? what the heck do I do about this. my store isn't live so crawlers won't index the wrong type of store on my domain. but if you can give me an IP you use I can enable site to work for you. Hi Guys, I want to add a feature when I hover over my categories the actual tab highlights and then sub catagories pop up to the right. How do I add this feature? Is there maybe a module for this? I use prestashop 1.6 and link to my website is www.deltanetix.co.za Thanks for the help. Nex

Dear all, I am havning a problem after updating prestashop. When i go to the top horizontal menu, click configure, then i am not able to add any catagoires. I can see the catagory headline in the fields but none of the catagories. Can any one explain how i get them back into the field set. See attached image. Best regards, Jakob

Hej Alle, Jeg håber i kan hjælpe inden jeg graver mig selv ned. Jeg kan ikke tilføje mine katagorier til top menuen i Prestashop 1.6 ( se vedhæftet ). Synes snart jeg har forsøgt alt, og tør snart ikke at lege mere med mine katagorier. Det skete efter jeg opgraderede fra 1,56 til 1,605. Er der nogen der kender til dette issue? På forhånd tak. Taking over a semi set up site using Prestashop (PS) and new to the platform, trying to educate myself. Nice cart BTW. In trying to adjust this new Presta cart, I am running into issues that I find rather shocking compared to my experiences with Interspire Shopping Cart (ISC), now Big Commerce (BC) for the last 4 years. ISC is the bastard child that is discontinued that was purchased and updated, BC is the new hosted monthly subscription base it migrated to that I reject. 1. In ISC, we could drag and drop categories at will. Now I have to move a bunch and it looks like I am SOL doing that and have to recreate manually? Really? No one has ever thought of a drag and drop feature for categories? Does it exist? or for that matter, anything in admin? This should be a goal of any developer, make it easier for us to get around & drag & drop or slide is a great way to help. 2. Tabs @ bottom of product page. If I attach a cut sheet, they put a "Download" tab Inbetween the "More Info" and "Comments" tab. My questions are: 2.1 How can I add a tab for a specifications table, and call it Specs or Specifications? 2.2 How can I add a tab for various or random text or images like dimensions & name it Images or Dimensions? Does that have to go to the Downloads tab & I need to upload it that way? I want it to show in a tab, not be a download. 2.3 How can I change the sort order of these tabs? Moving one left or right? There is nothing in the manual, so I hope someone can help. Thanks much.

Hello, I need some assistance. I was able to add a few horizontal catagories but I don't know where to edit them. I want to add a catagory image but there seems to not be a place to do so. If I go to catagories in the backoffice of Prestashop, the catagories are empty. Help! Hi I have a unique problem coming up please help me am new to prestashop -yesterday i was adding a main catagory on my site -it was in name of designer dress -when i was adding it through catalog>catagories it gave me and error thrice and then suddenly an existing catagory called apparel got vanished completely. -Then i went to my shop and a blank page was coming -I searched for problem on forum and got to know about adding a code which displays error -from there i came to know about the error was in my topmegamenu module -I went to that module and deleted the designer dress catagory which gave me error thrice while i -was creating it. -The site started working again BUT NOW my existing catagory called apparel is gone with its sub catagories and while clicking on another catagory the designer dress catagory comes up on product page(on shop/website) as Home>jewelry>designer dress..... now the products were in the catagory that was gone called apparel and should not be in this catagory and the catagory designer dress is not showing up in Catalog> catagory (in back office) am very much confused i want to remove this designer dress catagory and how can i manage the database in an easy format????? please help my site is http://aeou.x10.mx i can give access to back office please help me just to avoid any confusion i had again added that apparel catagory from scratch thanks and warm regards Vaibhav

I have a prestashop, (newest version), and when i am adding products to their respective catagories they dont populate and show up. please help! -Chris

Is there away I can update product info (ie. Inventory or UPCs) with out effecting my categories? If I import info with no cats it defaults everything back to home. If I import with cats it doesn't import all of them. I spent a lot of time categorizing everything, and already made the mistake of not testing it and having re-categorize 1000+ items all over. Not fun > I just want it to ignore the cats, and import only what I ask. I''m using the Export Product block for the original info Thanks

Hi All, I am setting up prestashop as a Catalogue for Car Parts - so, a particular part can fit into several "Categories" -Categories in my case are makes/models of cars. I would like to be able to know from which category an item was added from - as it might appear under more than 2 cat. is this possible ? rgds Andy
