[Canada Post Rates Calculator 1.1 with CP Sell Online account, PS 1.5.3] Hey everyone, something strange has happened. With no module problems for ages, suddenly here in 2017 some have popped up. I've been using PS 1.5 for many years and haven't changed any shipping settings in a very long time, so I don't think it's my fault... 1.) Priority Worldwide: services no longer display in the checkout (checked carrier enabled, weight range set, tested with address where service is supposed to be available, etc.). Why would it suddenly not be displaying? Has anyone else noticed this? 2.) Tracked Packet INTL: incorrect rates display, yet rates for Tracked Packet USA display fine (checked any coupons/discounts being enabled, weight range set, discount level set at CP Sell Online, etc.). I noticed today that my shopping cart charged a UK customer $29.09, however the postage will actually cost me about $35. The cart should have displayed a rate closer to $38. Any ideas as to what's happening here, or how I might fix it? And I guess I should also ask: does anyone know if Canada Post has made any of their own backend changes recently? So frustrating... thank you in advance for your help! Elaine

Hi everyone, I hope you can offer some help. I'm running a test store right now (I'm currently using an older version of osCommerce), and I'm glad I haven't gone live yet because found a few bugs related to the Canada Post Rates Calculator 1.1. I'm currently using PS 1.5.3.1 and Shipping Estimation 1.2. 1.) Rate shows as "free shipping" when customer not logged in, regardless of multi-page checkout or single page. I don't have any free shipping options available (not even a "pickup" carrier) so this is baffling. My default carrier is set to "best price", although even if I change it to an actual carrier (e.g. Expedited) shipping still shows as free. Edit: Solved this myself by editing the translation text to say "calculate" instead of "free!" but technically it's still broken. 2.) Priority Worldwide rates do not appear. I have Priority Worldwide USA and Priority Worldwide INTL enabled as carriers, I've double-checked the zones, weight restrictions, etc. as well as my service settings at CP SellOnline. In fact they're configured exactly the same way as my other Canada Post carriers but they're the only carriers that never come up when grabbing rates. The only reason I can think of is that Priority Worldwide requires a minimum package size of about 39x30cm, and my products have package sizes specified at 30x24cm or smaller. I have tried enabling/disabling the "Priority Worldwide Pak" at SellOnline (which logic tells me is there so it can override smaller package sizes and prevent this from happening) but it makes no difference. 3.) Shipping Estimation module only works for Canadian addresses. If I try to slect another country, the page just sits there trying to load, nothing happens. I've given up on this module for now. Unless anyone found a way to fix it? For others having issues with Priority Courier (which is Canadian addresses only): the syntax used to call Canada Post for Priority Courier isn't configured correctly. I knew from setting up osCommerce ages ago that it must be exact (i.e. "XPresspost International" not "XpressPost Intl"). For this service it should be only "Priority" not "Priority Courier". I found the source in modules/canadapost/sql-install.php and changed any instances of "Priority Courier" text appearing to just "Priority" and it worked great. I'm not sure what documentation I can provide to illustrate the issues, but if you need any just let me know.

Good morning, I recently noticed that our customers who place international orders are not being shown all applicable shipping options available to them. The two methods not being displayed are Small Packets Air and Small Packets Surface. Also, while the site seems to correctly quote the shipping for Xpresspost International and Parcel Surface, there was a $65 difference between the quote provided by Canada Post and the quote the customer is given on our stie for Priority Worldwide INTL. I've gone over the settings in backoffice and I can't come up with an explanation for why it is behaving this way. I was going to attach a screen shot but I'm not sure of what to attach since everything seems fine and works in every other way. Any suggestions or help would be appreciated. Thanks, -Charles

Hello there, I am a newbie. I am using Prestashop version 1.5.4.1. Launched my website 3 weeks back and using Canada Post module for shipping. In shopping cart summary until someone sign in, it’s showing “Free Shipping” and it's very quiet confusing. Once sign in the total price is sky rocketing (Shipping Charges). Is there a way to fix this issue? All other features work fine. I have tried many options under “Shipping > Carrier” tabs. No luck I want to display the shipping cost for the Guest, Visitor and Customers…. Website address is http://newbuy.ca Thanking you in advance Wjohn

Hi, I am using prestashop 1.5.4.1 on a remote server. Does anybody know what should I enter in the URL section when editing a carrier? It says: "Delivery tracking URL: Type '@' where the tracking number should appear. It will then be automatically replaced by the tracking number." Please kindly let me know what should I do? Best Regards, Mojtaba

Hi all, I'm using PS 1.5.3.1 and I'm wondering: is there a way to tell the Canada Post Rates Calculator module to obey certain settings enabled at CPC SellOnline? Specifically, the "insurance activation" and "signature requirement" amount settings (they disable certain services when $XX order value is reached). My new shop isn't live yet (local host), and from what I can tell, unlike my currently live osCommerce shop, those insurance & signature settings are being ignored. Maybe they will be applied once the site is live, but I somehow doubt that going live will make any difference (although maybe someone can confirm if they work in a live shop?). I realize it's possible to set carriers by price range in Prestashop rather that weight range, however unfortunately with some of the carriers I need to use, I absolutely have to go by weight range. Sure wish you could set some services to weight range and some to price range, but you can't - you have to use one system or the other, period. :/ Thanks in advance! Elaine

When customer logged in and one of the Canada Post's methods of shipping is default or was selected earlier, he/she experiences minimum 5 second delay to receive calculated shipping cost every time when he/she adds a new item into the shipping cart or updates the quantity of items on a cart. It is frustrating. Can anyone suggest me how to speed up the Canada Post module or implement Update Totals button to execute the Shipping Module code only after the pressing this button? Thanks

I am looking for someone to put the final touches and tweeks to my website. www.thriveonline.ca I know there are some bugs and errors that need to be fixed. Here is a list it tasks that also need to be corrected. What would be the cost for these to be done: 1. When you click on any link under "categories", it opens up a list of products (example 16 products under Multivitamins) Compare button not working -> throws you back to homepage "Add to cart" button not working -> throws you back to homepage Click on "View" button for more info and on that page "Add to cart" works 2. In shopping cart: +/- buttons not working -> throws you back to homepage delete (garbage icon) not working -> throws you back to homepage " Update shopping cart" required Once total price reaches $100, shipping should update to $0 3. Set up/correct Canada Post shipping module Activate Canada Post module with correct shipping taxes to each province Set up so Free shipping is activated after orders over $100 Need to run tests 4. Finalize the Pay Pal Module Account already active but needs to sync up with Canada post module Need to run tests purchases 5. Work out other bugs Clean up any messy code Correct any host error codes Any feed back would be great. My time frame is 1 month to go live and sell online.

Hello folks, So I've been trying to set up the shipping side of my store but i'm hitting a wall and hoping you guys might be able to assist. I am in the Modules section. The Canada Post module section is showing the following: Canada Post module is not configured yet, you must: 1) Fill the "General Settings" form (done) 2) Select your available delivery service (done) 3) Webservice test connection : Error -2001 : Merchant CPC Id not found on server. (problem) 4) cURL is enabled (done) So clearly #3 is the issue, but not sure how to fix this. When someone opens an account and tries to buy from the shop the error they get (at the shipping stage) is: "There are no carriers available that deliver to this address." But that can't be right because I have enables 3 Canada Post options. -regular -Xpresspost -Expedited Hoping someone can help me solve this.. the URL for my shop is: http://shop.torontotuner.com

I have regular Canada Post choosen for shipping. I don't want to set up an account with Canad Post or give customers option of carriers. Tried to turn it off, but shipping needs a default apparently, In check out I get this error: There are no carriers available that deliver to this address. Is it possible to do without shipping options all together? Thanks Karen

[SOLVED] Bizarre database corruption issue?
AdamM posted a topic in Configuring and using PrestaShop
Hello all, I have a mostly-complete Prestashop site under development for a client, and I'm getting a very strange bunch of error symptoms I'm hoping someone can help me out with. I'm using PS 1.4.6.2 The problem first appeared after I'd tried, as an experiment, putting an 'add to cart' button on one of the CMS pages, using the same href value as the button for that product on the category page. When I clicked this link nothing appeared to happen, but afterward when I tried to follow another link to a different page, I got the "TECHNICAL ERROR: unable to add product" alert popup. I removed the test 'add to cart' link from the CMS page, and went on with development. But then, when I next tried to add a product to the cart normally from one of the category or product pages, the same thing happened! Since then, more strange symptoms have appeared: Initially, on a fresh browser session, everything on the site seems to function as normal as long as I don't try adding any products to the cart. After I try adding a product to the cart, though, pageloads get extremely slow (~30s), and most of the links disappear from the site's footer! (see screenshot) I tried switching to the non-ajax cart, but a similar thing happens. The product gets added to the cart, and the cart page loads, but the header links are missing and the entire footer is gone. (see screenshot). Then, if I go back try to add another product to the cart, it shows a 'product is no longer available' error, and after that it won't load any front office pages at all. The browser (Firefox) just shows a 'connecting...' message but the server never seems to send anything back to the browser. The same symptoms happen when tested with IE. If I clear my browser cache or delete the PS cookie, everything returns to normal. I have confirmed that mbstring is enabled on the server. I also tried truncating the cart and cart_products tables, but to no effect. To see the weirdness in action, go to http://miles.canvasd...~gatherin/shop/ Cart is currently set to non-ajax. Does anyone know what could be causing this? Are there files that get modified by the application that could have been corrupted, or does it sound like a database problem? Where in the DB would the problem likely be? Thanks very much for your help, Adam -
I'm having some issues with the Canada Post Module and wondering if someone can help me. It doesn't seem to be recognizing the weights that I have entered into the product catalog - It is charging the same shipping amount for products of different weights. Also, when I add multiple items into the cart, the shipping amount stays the same even though the weight has increased. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Hi, I am in process of configuration of the new shopping cart and would like to verify with the Canada Post Shipping Module developer (Fabien Serny) that the calculation of the shipping cost for the package is correct. I need to combine all products into one package (one BOX) and calculate the shipping cost for this package. I reviewed the canadapost.php code for the package calculation only and found that Canada Post receives only one item with MAX(width), MAX(height), MAX(depth) and SUM(weight) instead of sending the list of products. How will the Canada Post webservice find the correct BOX size if it does not know how many products and measurement of each of them ? I believe that shipping cost calculated from weight and the size of the BOX. The bigger BOX the higher the shipping cost. For example: 1)I have logged in into CanadaPost Online service and added 2 boxes with dimentions: 11x11x11 and 100x100x100 1)I have set up the Canada Post module to send all items in one package. 2)Customer added to Cart 20 products with the dimensions: 10cm x 10cm x 10cm and weight 1kg. 3)The CandaPost Shipping module send the requiest to the Canada Post websirvice with the only one calculated product 10cm x 10cm x 10cm and weight = 20kg. 4)The Canada Post web service will choose the smallest BOX 11x11x11 and calculate the shipping price for it. This is WRONg because how I fit 20 products 10x10x10 into one BOX 11x11x11 ? 5)Next I will grab 20 products and fit them into the BIG BOX 100x100x100, bring this box to the post office and the Canada Post sales person will charge me much more than the customer payed!!! I think the CanadaPost Shipping Module has to send the list of products to the CanadaPost webservice. I would appreciate your comment. Regards, Sergiy this is the code from canadapost.php: foreach ($wsParams['products'] as $product) { if ($product['width'] && $product['width'] > $width) $width = $product['width']; if ($product['height'] && $product['height'] > $height) $height = $product['height']; if ($product['depth'] && $product['depth'] > $depth) $depth = $product['depth']; if ($product['weight']) $weight += ($product['weight'] * $product['quantity']); $id_product = $product['id_product'].','; } $weight += Tools::getValue('cp_carrier_packaging_weight', Configuration::get('CP_CARRIER_PACKAGING_WEIGHT')); //.......................... //.......................... //.......................... $wsParams['service'] = $serviceSelected['service']; $wsParams['package_list'] = array(); $wsParams['package_list'][] = array( 'width' => ($width > 0 ? $width : 7), 'height' => ($height > 0 ? $height : 3), 'depth' => ($depth > 0 ? $depth : 5), 'weight' => ($weight > 0 ? $weight : .5), 'quantity' => 1, 'id_product' => $id_product, );

I installed the canada post module and it was working ok. I kept working on other aspect of the website (Taxes that aren't doing what they should do for north america...) and now the Canada Post module stopped working. I de-installed it and reinstalled it and still it isn't working at all, no shipping cost from Canada Post. My old Oscommerce website still pulls the shipping information from Canada Post. Anyone else with this problem???
