Hello, i've a problem with ps admin. I need to insert specific tax for zipcode, ex: 10% on Ontario L7C but i can't insert just L7C cause (correctly) this provide me and error related to format. The problem is that i've tons of exception and zipcodes (https://postal-codes.cybo.com/canada/L7C_caledon-ontario/) but i don't know how to insert it in the field. The documentation say that you can insert single or a range, but how does it works if the zip is alphanumeric? Thx, Matteo

Je ne peux pas passer la première étape; ça écrit: Prestashop could not connect to Canada Post webservices : Canada Post Webservice seems to be down, please wait a few minutes and try again.

Hi I'm in desperate need of some kind of guidance I'm hoping this is easier for you guys. I have been trying to get my USPS. To provide shipping rates for my site for countries outside the US. I have systematically gone through every single drop down. Looked at them piece by piece by piece. I have enabled all the countries. I have also enabled all their states. I even made Canada it's own zone and added the Canadian states listed to that zone. I've done everything I know of and can think of. The tutorial I read said it should just be as simple as enabling the zones in the shipping carrier. I've done that I've also undone it an done it again an resaved. In an attempt to snap the site into working. I HAVE GOTTEN NO WHERE! Some one ANYONE please Help me. I've rebuilt this site 6+ times I do not want to have to rebuild it again. I'm in desperate need of any help. So please if you know how to do this. Please just tell me.

I tested the PrestaShop with the guest and without guests, but the tax was calculated as GST 5 % for default home country (Canada) all the time, unless the customer logged in or provided the shipping destination (Province) on the guest panel. I believe that Customers should not see the WRONG tax (GST 5%) until the system knows the customer's destination and be able to show the correct tax (HST 13% for Ontario for example). Does anybody know what should I do to fix this? Thanks, Mojtaba

Hi, I've searched the forums for answers to these issues and have not found any that work. So, since the issues combine taxes and shipping, and, in desperation, I'm starting a new topic. If this is wrong, please forgive me! We have used PrestaShop on a number of our clients' websites with great success. However, we have one client who ships from 2 different locations, the U.S. and Canada. When we first setup his store, we were using an early version of 1.4. We customized the skin to match his website. At the time, he was shipping from the U.S. to the U.S. and Canada. However, he wanted to the store to be more user-friendly for Canadians regarding pricing, taxes, and shipping. So, he setup distribution in Canada and instructed us to "duplicate" his U.S. store on the server and set it up for Canada. We did... or should I say, we tried. We got as far as setting up the products to display pricing in Canadian Dollars and we installed the Canada Post Rate Calculator (v 1.1). But then we tried to setup the taxes! Ultimately and after much research (before 1.5 came out), we determined that we needed to upgrade to at least 1.4.6. We upgraded the Canadian store to 1.4.10.0. We re-installed the customizations and set off to setup the taxes. And that brings us to now... HELP!!! First, let me describe the current setup... Payments are setup with "Currency Restrictions" = "Canadian Dollar" & "Country Restrictions "= "Canada" Currencies are setup with only the "Canadian Dollar" enabled and set as the "Default Currency" Taxes are setup with GST = 5%, 3 HST entries of 12%, 13%, & 15%, and 4 PST entries of 5%, 7%, 9.975%, & 10%. "Tax options" (on same page) are set with "Enable tax" = "Yes", "Based on" = "Delivery Address", and "Use ecotax" = "No". Tax Rules are set with only "CA Standard Rate" enabled The Tax Rules are enabled and the tax for Canada = GST 5% The individual "State/County" taxes are set to various values, depending on the State, and the "Tax to apply" is also set to various values, depending on the State. The Shipping is set to a "Handling charge" of "$2.00" Billing "Choice of range" = "According to total weight" "Carrier" = "Regular" 2 Carriers setup, both are Canada Post and both are enabled. One is "Regular"; the other is "Expedited". Each is setup with "Apply shipping cost" enabled, "Shipping & handling" enabled, and "Tax" = "CA Standard Rate" "Billing" = "Default behavior" Only Zone enabled is "North America" A selected set of products (there are over 200 products in the store) have been setup with "Pre-tax wholesale price" = 0, "Pre-tax retail price" = product price, "Tax rule" = CA Standard Rate, & "Additional shipping cost" = 0 The problems I'm still having are: The "Tax to apply" settings are not accurate for all States. I thought this was automatically set when Canada during installation The Tax is displayed in the cart, using the default Canada rate of 5%, before the destination is entered. Your documentation shows that there should be a setting, "Display tax in cart" in Tax options that controls this. I cannot find this setting under Tax options or anywhere else, for that matter. Even though I've set "Tax" to CA Standard Rate for each carrier, the tax is NOT including tax on the shipping Regardless of the product purchased or the destination, the cost of shipping via Canada Post is the same whether Regular or Expedited is chosen Anything... ANYTHING... you can do to help me with this or point me in the right direction, would be greatly appreciated, Sabrina. This client has been waiting almost 6 months for the Canadian store to go live. You can email me at [email protected]. Thank you, in advance, for your help... Clem

Hi there, I've got a client using the FedEx module, who wants to ship from the US to Canada. I've configured CA as a country and added International shipping choices. The FedEx web service is returning rates. The bad news is that some of these rates are much lower than they should be. We contacted FedEx, and it was explained that the site/module was not submitting values for two important data-points - CustomsValue and DutiesPayment. These are both in the WSDL. According FedEx API tech support, these missing values are causing the aberrant shipping rates. I can't find any specification for those data-points in the admin or any reference to setting that data in the code, prior to sending the web service request in the FedEx module. So I'm looking for a little help. How can I add this information to the request? Thank you. James

Hey guys, At some point I had this working but now it has stopped. I am using the default Authorize.net module that came with my Prestashop install ( PrestaShop™ 1.4.6.2 ). I get the error " No payment method is available" I tried re-installing the module with no luck. I then removed that one line of code as recomended on the forums (even though i had no problems with it before) $this->limited_countries = array('us'); still no luck. so i tried turning on the checking module, set it up and i still get the error " No payment method is available" so something is clearly wrong. This was all on the one page checkout. when i switched to the 5 page checkout i got this error: "No payment modules have been installed." Which is fun! (not) any help would be great

Hi, I am in process of configuration of the new shopping cart and would like to verify with the Canada Post Shipping Module developer (Fabien Serny) that the calculation of the shipping cost for the package is correct. I need to combine all products into one package (one BOX) and calculate the shipping cost for this package. I reviewed the canadapost.php code for the package calculation only and found that Canada Post receives only one item with MAX(width), MAX(height), MAX(depth) and SUM(weight) instead of sending the list of products. How will the Canada Post webservice find the correct BOX size if it does not know how many products and measurement of each of them ? I believe that shipping cost calculated from weight and the size of the BOX. The bigger BOX the higher the shipping cost. For example: 1)I have logged in into CanadaPost Online service and added 2 boxes with dimentions: 11x11x11 and 100x100x100 1)I have set up the Canada Post module to send all items in one package. 2)Customer added to Cart 20 products with the dimensions: 10cm x 10cm x 10cm and weight 1kg. 3)The CandaPost Shipping module send the requiest to the Canada Post websirvice with the only one calculated product 10cm x 10cm x 10cm and weight = 20kg. 4)The Canada Post web service will choose the smallest BOX 11x11x11 and calculate the shipping price for it. This is WRONg because how I fit 20 products 10x10x10 into one BOX 11x11x11 ? 5)Next I will grab 20 products and fit them into the BIG BOX 100x100x100, bring this box to the post office and the Canada Post sales person will charge me much more than the customer payed!!! I think the CanadaPost Shipping Module has to send the list of products to the CanadaPost webservice. I would appreciate your comment. Regards, Sergiy this is the code from canadapost.php: foreach ($wsParams['products'] as $product) { if ($product['width'] && $product['width'] > $width) $width = $product['width']; if ($product['height'] && $product['height'] > $height) $height = $product['height']; if ($product['depth'] && $product['depth'] > $depth) $depth = $product['depth']; if ($product['weight']) $weight += ($product['weight'] * $product['quantity']); $id_product = $product['id_product'].','; } $weight += Tools::getValue('cp_carrier_packaging_weight', Configuration::get('CP_CARRIER_PACKAGING_WEIGHT')); //.......................... //.......................... //.......................... $wsParams['service'] = $serviceSelected['service']; $wsParams['package_list'] = array(); $wsParams['package_list'][] = array( 'width' => ($width > 0 ? $width : 7), 'height' => ($height > 0 ? $height : 3), 'depth' => ($depth > 0 ? $depth : 5), 'weight' => ($weight > 0 ? $weight : .5), 'quantity' => 1, 'id_product' => $id_product, );

HI, I am using the latest version 1.4.6.2. The Shopping Cart summary shows the Estimated Tax more than $0 for the user who did not registered. Reproducing the bug: 1) Back end: 1.1)set up Canadian taxes on backend: NO TAX 0% - North America, GST 5% - Canada, HST 13% - Ontario, 1.2) Tax based on : delivery address 2) Front end: 2.1)add the item ($100 before taxes) into shopping cart 2.2)open the shopping cart summary (attached image 1) 2.3) The Estimated Sales Tax has to be == $0 because the delivery address is unknown, but it shows $5 (Calculated as Item1 * Country GST 5%) !!! WRONG !!! 2.4) register user with delivery address in Ontario and refresh the shopping cart summary 2.5) the tax calculated correctly now My suggestion: 1) If tax based on delivery address, do not calculate the Tax and do not show any Tax rows 2)once the delivery address is available, show all appropriate Tax rows and recalculate Tax and totals 3) The same for "Total Shipping" : The shipping should not be calculated if the delivery address is unknown 4)Show the Tax Name instead of "Estimated Sales Tax", i.e. this example should show: HST(13%) : $13.13. Canadian Revenue Agency requires to show the TAX name. 5) Register HST and GST numbers on Back-end and show them on the customer's invoice (Canadian Revenue Agency requirement) Regards, Sergiy

I've seen a lot of bug report regarding "Tax Calculation" I'm unable to find a solution. Round mode is set to "Classical" Item price ...CAD $149.98 Total Tax.....CAD $ 20.25 The right calculation should be: [TPS (5%)] = $7.5 (149.98 + 7.5 = $157.48 [TVQ (8.5%) = $13.4 (157.48 + 13.4 = $170.87 so with the Price + TPS & TVQ i should get a total of $170.87 but as you can see on the attached file the total is $170.23 that's a discrepancy of $0.64 That hurts bad please help.
