I have googled and tried everything I could find to solve this problem, but I can't get the USPS module to work. It says, "Prestashop could not connect to USPS webservices : USPS Webservice seems to be down, please wait a few minutes and try again." I EVEN HAD USPS SWITCH MY PROFILE/USER ID TO PRODUCTION and it is still not working (I read somewhere that you had to switch to the production servers to work, so I did). I AM ABOUT TO LOSE MY MIND OVER THIS! I want this to work so bad and can't open my store until I get this fixed :'-(I am using Prestashop version 1.5.6.0 with the USPS module that came along with it version 1.3.1. I haven't made any upgrades or updates and I don't know enough to troubleshoot (I am totally winging it with trying to figure this whole thing out, a LOT OF TRIAL AND ERROR). I will say that there is one other thing that I can't figure out what it means and that is that on my module page it says: "If you want to be able to fully use the AdminModules panel and have free modules available, you should enable the following configuration on your server: - Enable allow_url_fopen" I have been ignoring that because I don't have A CLUE what that means (just thought I would throw that in while I was at it)

I am in the US and my international customers can register an account successfully but when they go to check out, it says no carriers available. I am using the USPS Module and the only selections I have for shipment are those in the US (first class, priority mail, express mail, etc.) How can I either get international customers to be shown international ship rates via USPS OR get USPS to offer me more options for shipment? I've spent about 20 hours on this problem, researching and reading all the forums regarding this topic and I haven't been able to resolve this issue. Could someone please help SOLVE THIS ONCE AND FOR ALL?!?!? A. PROBLEM: 1. Whenever I add an item to my shopping cart, it says "Free shipping" 2. When I checkout, it says "no carriers available". B. THINGS I HAVE DONE: 1. installed "Connect to USPS" module, entered user ID and it says "Connect to USPS is configured and online!" 2. Entered settings in Shipping>Carriers>First Class, Priority, Express etc. 3. Selected carriers in Catalog>Products>Edit>Shipping 4. Enabled: North America and all the states (Localization>Zones) 5. Enabled: North America/United States (Localization>Countries) ****AT THIS POINT: tested and still received "Free Shipping" and "No Carriers Available" SO THEN I: 4. Enabled Advanced Stock Management by Preferences>Products>Enable 5. Created a Warehouse and selected all the carriers shown 6. Double Checked that there was inventory in-stock ***STILL THE SAME PROBLEM!!!: "Free Shipping" and "No Carriers Available" Please help! Thank you in advance!

I have installed the USPS carrier module, and have entered in the information provided by USPS. The connection works, so no problem there. I have weights set for each of my products, and want to charge shipping based on those weights. If the customer puts one item in the cart that weighs 1 ounce and a second item in the cart that weighs 2 ounces, I want the shipping rate to be calculated on the total weight of 3 ounces (ie $2.32 for total shipping). When I test this in my online store, shipping is being calculated separately on each item instead of on the total weight of both items (ie $4.64 for total shipping). Do I need to go into Shipping in my backend and set weight ranges and assign shipping fees to each range? If so, why? This seems to defeat the purpose of having the module installed. If anyone has this working could you please respond? I would love to get this working. Thanks in advance! Christy

Hello there ! After several days of fighting with USPS module I managed to get it pass production server and it actually working .....well not quite. Here is my problem. For some reason I can't get it working correctly and let me explain what I mean by that. Let's say I select in Shipping / Carriers a default carrier it's not working at all, no matter how I tried I can't get First class mail to be first in the list but if this was only problem. Let's say I am selecting REGULAR rate first class, priority and express. when I am testing only 2 shoing up. first class and priorite ..so where is express ? Okay how about IF I want to put First class, parsel post and media ...nope, sometimes it can show me only first class sometimes I see nothing at all. Basically something is really wrong. I tried to reinstall it and stuff ..nothing. So any thoughts on this ? Cause right now I got First class and Priority shoing when I have express and media mail selected as well. but at list it's showing something not in order I want but at list something. So if possible please help on this issue.

The USPS module is working for me, but no one else seems to be able to use it. It doesn't matter what browser they're using or whether they've cleared their cache or whether they're signed in, whenever they try to purchase (and they've entered their state and zip), it doesn't bring up a carrier. The USPS module technical support is being absolutely no help, as they just keep saying that it's working, but it's clearly not if we keep getting emails from customers saying they can't purchase. I did update to the latest version of the module, but it was having troubles before I updated. Any ideas?? This is my store if anyone wants to try it out: http://store.zombieresponseteam.net

Hello, this is with respect to the default USPS module that comes with PrestaShop v1.5.4.1. I installed and enabled the module, it asked me for my USPS information which I did not have at the time. I went ahead and Disabled the module for now. However, I am trying to select Configure or Disable or Uninstall and it is throwing the attached error. I assume it is throwing the error because I did provide my USPS id initially but I would like to know how to get past the error and uninstall the module? I realize I shouldn't just delete it from my server but I'm not sure what else to do right now. If anyone could advise it would be appreciated. Thanks.

When UPS is enabled with the same settings and USPS is disabled, UPS shipping displays just fine. "Free shipping" is not displayed. This happens when signed out, and when signed in. It makes no difference. Being a technical support guy, I have tried troubleshooting this by the following means: PrestaShop™ 1.5.3.1 ( updated as this was happening in the prior PS version as well ) 1.) read the forums first. I verified country/states/and USPS module shows "x" just as UPS does for "free shipping". Verified all settings are identical to UPS. - NOGO 2.) uninstalled/reinstalled the USPS module - NOGO 3.) DELETED module, re-added, then reinstalled - NOGO (after reinstall, duplicate USPS shipping methods. and still no problems like this with UPS) 4.) Tried to delete duplicate USPS methods and get the following Prestashop exception(even though weight is default "0"): Property Carrier->max_weight is not valid at line 837 in file classes/ObjectModel.php 5.) After having an ever increasing number of problems with Prestashop, I abandoned the first installation and started over from scratch. Downloaded a fresh copy of v 1.4.8.2, and installed it on my GoDaddy server which uses Linux/Apache and PHP v5.3.10. The installation is minimal to see if I can get things to work before doing a lot of customization. The store is at www.coclivia.com/store. Right now there are three products in two categories--one Plant, and two Software products. I am having two problems: missing shipping carriers, and unable to upload the file for a downloadable product. This ticket is for the missing shipping carriers. I will create a second ticket for the downloadable product problem. After installing Prestashop on the server, I created product categories, created three products, setup Payments, and Payment Gateways, and then setup Shipping. First I installed/uninstalled modules so I only have UPS and USPS modules in place. Then I configured each module. That was successful, except USPS on the various delivery services shows Priority Mail, Express Mail, and Parcel Post and being "Not Available". USPS technical support says my account is working and is setup to use these services. In the Back Office Shipping tab, I deleted several pre-existing carriers so now I only should have UPS Next Day, UPS Second Day, UPS Ground, USPS First Class, USPS Priority Mail, USPS Express Mail, USPS Parcel Post, and Local Pickup. Priority Mail was setup as my default. Each carrier was edited to only include North America and to add shipping and handling, no tax, etc. Weight Ranges were modified with all USPS options being 0 to 70 lbs., except for First Class. When I try and buy my one setup plant being 8.0 lbs, only UPS shipping options and local pickup appear. Why is the USPS shipping module showing Priority Mail, Express Mail, and Parcel Post as Not Available? Is that what is causing no USPS shipping options from appearing in my Front Office? (I understand First Class is excluded because of the weights involved.) Any help would be appreciated. Thanks, Mike

I'm configuring my USPS module as I am trying to migrate from Zencart over to Prestashop. When placing our USPS User ID as requested and origin zip code, when testing we show only 2-9 shipping option for $5.79 regardless how much an order weighs, where it is going, etc... We have 2-9 day, 2-3 day, overnight checked... unfortunately only 2-9day shows at a flat $5.79 regardless. Any ideas? I've gone through configs, made sure all our product weights are correct...etc.

Please assist. I have searched around and I am not finding an answer to this. On the USPS module I filled in the general settings form. Under USPS User ID: I followed the link that the module mentions to get my API key: https://www.usps.com...ss/webtools.htm and I received an email with an alphanumeric Username and Password but nothing called a key. Whenever I try to: "submit query" I get the following message: Prestashop could not connect to USPS webservices : USPS Webservice seems to be down, please wait a few minutes and try again. This has gone on for several days so I doubt the message is accurate.
