Hi! I've spent hours looking for any info but i've found nothing so far! What I have is a checkout page, where customers input their address details and next step is shipping. What I need is, when in the address section of checkout, when "Country" United Kingdom is selected, at the top of the page I need a red alert to appear, either on the page itself or as a pop up, to say something like customs and extra tax importing to UK may occur. How do I do this please? Thank you!!

Hi, had an interesting little thing yesterday - a customer from the UK bought an item from my shop in Sweden. Per all rules, and all active things it should use the swedish VAT of 25% but it didn't. On the ware itself it's set as VAT 25% - Swedish. Why isn't it being applied to european normal customers? Any ideas? **Solution : Create new tax group. Add every country in the EU by hand that's supposed to pay tax. Change all wares to use this group. Have fun!

Hi Guys, I need to set free shipping only for the UK and he rest of the world different prices! So I have an issue with setting a free shipping for only one country. I am based in the UK therefore I would like to offer a free shipping to customers within the UK but apply shipping charges for different continents. I can set the price for different continents but I cannot set the prices for the UK specifically. The shipping => carriers have only Europe option which is not very suitable for my business as I offer free shipping to UK but not to France or Belgium for instance. Thanks and happy easter.

Hi All, We have recently started getting customers from outside the UK, so have set up a separate price for European postage. Is there anyway to automatically assign the European postage for non UK customers postage? Problem is UK is still part of Europe at least for the minute Thanks Gareth 1.6.1.9

Hi Guys, As from yesterday we started getting payment issues with paypal. This should be our busiest time of year. ARRR The module has been working fine but when I checked today I get the attached screen shot message. Lost a few sales because of this, any ideas? is this down to paypal? I noticed a hot paypal topic in the French forum can this be a related sorry cant read French Emailed paypal

Hello everyone, we have PayPal account setup in Asia but we want to sell to any customers from EU + UK. What plugin can you recommend? And is there any restrictions for EU + UK customers if PayPal was setup in non-EU? Or should we have two separated stores? One for EU+UK customers with PayPal setup in EU and another store for Asian customers with Asia-setup PayPal account? Your thought and experience sharing? Thank you in advance, A. -
Hi everyone! I have a real problem. I have set up my site and it is practically live now, woohooo! Buzzing. But I have one real problem before I can really get going. Shipping.... By Place. I currently have 1 carrier set up for all areas of the UK to deliver at £ 10. Flat fee on the order total. So £ 10 for anything right? But our carrier charges different rates for where it is going to in the country. How the hec would I set this up for the UK? There are loads of States set up but are all USA states? Hi Guys, I'm having a massive issue getting shipping costs right in the UK. The way Royal mail works is it's done by size and weight, but there are different services which overlap. If you look here you can see the Royal Mail size and weight pricing. http://www.royalmail.com/sites/default/files/RM_Our_Prices_OCt2013.pdf My issue is I created all the different carriers as the different types of postage e.g. Letter, Large Letter, Small Parcels, Medium and the associated weights and costs. However when I added 4 greeting cards to my basket which don't weigh much and are small in size they should easily fit in a large envelope and go by Royal Mail large letter, however Prestashop adds it up to small parcel so from 90p it then charges them £3 which is crazy. (All max weights and sizes are set in back office) How does prestashop total up weights and sizes? I've added the size but I cannot work out how Prestashop even comes up with charging £3. Currently I use prices but the issue with this is I either charge too little or too much which either puts people off or eats in to my profit. Are there any modules out there to overcome this? Will the new version of Prestashop 1.6 have more shipping options? Has anyone else who uses Royal mail found a solution? I would be very grateful for any assistance. Cheers, Andy

Hi there, Setting up a new shop using 1.6.0.9 Please prove me wrong, but is PayPal no longer an option when configuring a shop for the UK? If not, why is it not available? And do you have an eta when will this be available? I have checked in Modules -> Payments and Gateways - no PayPal module. Downloaded and installed the PayPal Europe module - gives this error when installing: You are about to install "PayPal", a module which is not compatible with your country.This module was not verified by PrestaShop hence we cannot certify that it works well in your country and that it complies with our quality requirements. Use at your own risk. Seems a bit weird that this is not a valid payment option!

Hi, I am new to Prestashop so I still learning the ropes. I have had to download the PayPal Europe module for my shop which is UK-based and I am having problems with the checkout process. I can get as far as Step 5 in the checkout, but as soon as I click 'Pay with your card or your PayPal account' I get a 500 Internal Server Error. I am running PayPal v3.7.2 on Prestashop v1.6.0.9. Any advice/instructions would be extremely appreciated! Thank you. -
Hi All, I'm wondering if anyone can provide an answer to how to add "Impact on SIZE" within the PRODUCT>COMBINATIONS section ? You can define IMPACT ON WEIGHT , and PRICE, but not size. This has a BIG impact on anyone in the UK using Royal Mail Shipping weights & sizes. Does anyone know of a module that allows a filed of "Impact on Size" in combinations? Are there any developers out there who are willing to work on a module to do this? There is a definite revenue stream in the UK for this type of module, or one that automatically feed all Royal Mail shipping prices & structure straight into Prestashop. Are Prestashop working on adding this feature to a future update? It can't be that hard...can it?!? Great to hear anyone else's thoughts on this. Please reply if you are from the UK and think this is a needed module, that way hopefully a developer will pick up the Gauntlet! Cheers, Matt. -
Prestashop 1.5.4.1 Hi I've setup geolocation and only allow UK residents to see prices and order products. However, a customer has reported a problem that they cannot see prices or order products even though they are in the UK on the Isle of Man. What could be the reason for this issue. All help welcome. Hello I have a fresh install of Prestashop 1.6, and I want to sell goods in the UK via Paypal. I can't see where this is available. I have read other posts of people copying in modules from previous versions. Does anyone have this that works in the UK? Many thanks!

Hi all, I have spent the last 4 hours trying to make this work, so if anyone can help me I would greatly appreciate it! I have a specific type of product on my website. The product is T-SHIRTS. ALL my t shirts have the same price (£48). I've been trying to set 3 specific shipping costs for the t shirts for: THE UK (£5.20), EUROPE (£10.25) and THE USA/REST OF THE WORLD (£12.60). Based on some advice, I did the following: I created a NEW ZONE. I named this NEW ZONE 'UNITED KINGDOM'. I then created a NEW COUNTRY. I named this new country 'UNITED KINGDOM' (I also filled in all the necessary information). I then clicked ''states'' and proceeded to spend 2 and a half HOURS filling in EVERY COUNTY in the UNITED KINGDOM (with ISO codes) and linking them to COUNTRY > UNITED KINGDOM, ZONE > UNITED KINGDOM. I then created a NEW CARRIER. Because all my t shirts have the same price (£48) I did: Shipping will apply when: >=£48, <£49. I then selected ONLY the NEW ZONE (UNITED KINGDOM) and clicked SAVE/FINISH. The shipping cost however IS STILL NOT BEING APPLIED. Can someone PLEASE help me? I would be very, very grateful. -
Hi all, Please can someone help me!! I am unable to take payments currently on my site. Every time people try and pay it comes up with this error: "We cannot process this transaction because there is a problem with the PayPal email address supplied by the seller. Please contact the seller to resolve the problem. If this payment is for an eBay listing, you can contact the seller via the "Ask Seller a Question" link on the listing page. When you have the correct email address, payment can be made at www.paypal.com." " Your purchase couldn't be completed There's a problem with the merchant's PayPal account. Please try again later." There is nothing wrong with my paypal account, it works just fine. However I am in the UK and have Paypal USA & Canada installed. Would this be the problem? I cannot see any other option for Paypal? Hola. Me gustaría saber cómo cambiar la bandera de un idioma. Concretamente la bandera de EEUU por la del Reino unido, ya que no comprendo por qué aparece la bandera estadounidense al seleccionar el idioma inglés, cuando lo más lógico es asociar el idioma inglés con la bandera del Reino Unido. Ya sé que si añado el idioma "inglés (UK)" aparece la bandera que yo quiero, pero es que entonces la dirección se vería así: "www.tienda.com/uk" y me parece más lógico que aparezca así "www.tienda.com/en". Saludos. -

Why do we have to go through the tedium of editing the currency, locations and other country specific settings in the administration every install? There needs to be an install with Counties, not states, and the settings for Pound (GBP) and United Kingdom entered. -
Hey guys, I've been searching and searching for days and trying all sorts of different solutions to the problem I'm having. I'm using the PayPal Module 3.4.6 and PrestaShop 1.5.3. When I try process a payment using the Test Mode with a UK delivery and billing address I get the following error - "Please return to the payment page and correct the address." When I process a payment with a delivery and billing address outside the UK it works fine. I've tried this solution which didn't work either - http://www.prestashop.com/forums/topic/193179-paypal-not-working-in-prestashop-15/ Any help would be really appreciated as I have one live site and 2 more sites in development ready to launch soon all based in the UK. Is there a way to automatically give free shipping to people ordering from a certain postcode? Or do it with a voucher or something? -
Hello, I have no programming or web design experience so please be gentle. Im trying to set up shipping for my site and not getting anywhere. Prestashop is not giving enough information about shipping so im stuck... cant start selling unless this is set up :-( PLEASE HELP! I sell furniture and have 1 -'boxed items' which are delivered by courier and 2- 'sofas' which we deliver ourselves. 1- 'boxed items' have got delivery to UK mainland £9.99 (for most of the items) or £49.99 (for large bedroom sets) 2- 'sofas' are being delivered depending on the county - i have attached a file with our delivery territory below We also offe: 3- free local delivery in out town 4- free collection in person from our store I followed few instructions from the forum of other people who had simmilar problems but im always getting stuck on something and end up pulling my hair out. Any ideas how to set this up anyone? I have got 4 carriers set up for those 4 types of delivery (or collection) I added UK counties in States and created zones acording to map (green zone, blue zone, red zone, etc) and then added prices for each zone. I created 2 weights option for 'boxed items' and priced £9.99 and £49.99 Im doing something wrong and not sure what ...
