hello, i need to create a new menu category on the ,'top horizontal menu' ,for my website, for example: (parent category) THE COMPANY (1st child) About us (2nd child) Partners (3rd child) Gallery this seems that it cannot be done from the configuration of the module (in the administration area). is there a way to create these links as i show above? my third child is a link of a gallery module, so can i put the link on a CMS page ? thank you. -
When clicking on Top Horizontal Menu while using mobile device the menu appears then disappears and is generally unresponsive. My prestashop is V 1.6.1.20 Website: www.artworldonline.co.uk -
Hello dear prestashopers! I do not like how the subcategories are shown in the Top Horizontal Menu in Prestashop 1.6... I want to achieve something more simplistic, like in prestashop 1.5: - simple vertical subcategories grid - no pictures attached Can somebody help me please? Best regards

Hi, I’m sure I’m asking something simple but I’m not sure how to make the Top Horizontal Menu bar centered - I'm using Prestashop version 1.6.1.1 I’ve managed to get my menu categories centre aligned within the bar, but there’s an un-needed and useless gap either end of the bar when it’s at 100% (screenshot 1 with red ovals attached ). If I change it to 90% in the themes/default-bootstrap/css/modules/blocktopmenu/css/superfish-modified.css /*** ESSENTIAL STYLES ***/ .sf-contener { clear: both; float: left; width: 90%; } I get rid of the useless ends but my menu block is left aligned (screenshot 2 attached ) – I know changing float to center won’t work, but hopefully someone can tell me how to center align the element when it’s at 90%. Hi all, I'm struggling with the CMS block/pages and wondered if anyone had found a work around to the following problem. I want to have an item in my top horizontal menu that is a drop down of various pages, such as about us, terms and conditions, etc. These all appear in the CMS block and can be added to the top horizontal menu individually, but I want them to operate as a drop down below a heading of "information" (or something similar). I can add the CMS category to the top horizontal menu and get the drop down effect, but the item in the top horizontal menu is the CMS category, which is set to "Home" and in a menu bar that really indicates how to get back to your homepage. I can't see a way in the CMS block to add other categories, only pages or blocks under the Home category, nor how I can edit the Home category to give it a more suitable name. Any advice? Thanks

HI! I am facing some troubles with my store's mobile interface. 1) the navigation bar shows the cart button too big (only in the mobile) so it shoes under the line of the other buttons, i would like it to be inline and smaller. 2) the horizontal menu does not work. i have tried following the solutions on other related topics but they do not work. 3) the language selector drop down list does not work. any help is appreciated, Thanks in advance! Hello, I have already spent several hours trying to duplicate Top horizontal menu, coming with default Prestashop new template. I changed the followings: folder name: blocktopmenu2 tpl name: blocktopmenu2.tpl php name:blocktopmenu2.php php file code: class blocktopmenu2 extends Module $this->name = 'blocktopmenu2'; return $this->display(__FILE__, 'blocktopmenu2.tpl'); But when I go to BO/modules an empy page is loaded. After removing blocktopmenu2 folder, BO/modules is displayed properly I want to make 2 different menus with different items, can anybody please tell, what parts of this module need to be modified in order to duplicate it and retain full functionality? Thank you

How can I make TopHorizontalMenu only to show the hover menu options and not to respond to clicks. Issue is that once user clicks on a Menu Item, they will get an ugly landing page listing the same Hover Menu Item, so I really prefer the TopHorizontalMenu not to take them anywhere by clicking on the Items instead show them the sub-menu items and let them chose from there only. is there a fix for this? please see in this link www.everlightamericas.com and click on "About ELA" menu item and see the ugly landing page, istead I want the page only get clicks on sub-menu items, in this case "Corporate Profile, ..." -

Hello.... I use prestashop 1.6 and free leo-gamegear prestashop theme (http://www.leotheme.com/prestashop/themes/313-leo-gamegear.html). I have a problem with top horizontal menu. I have a lot of categories and subcategories and they are all displayed in a single column (on PC). How to display them in multiple columns(e.g. 4-5 columns). Like top horizontal menu in default prestashop 1.6 theme. superfish-modified.css I tried to edit the file (themes/leo_hitechgame/css/modules/bloktopmenu/css/superfish-modified.css) but unsuccessfully. Hello! I have recently updated my version of Prestashop to 1.6.1.6 and I am having problems with the Top Horizontal Menu(Block Top Menu) V.2.2.3. I have installed the module, but it only appears as a vertical text links. I have tried to uninstall. reinstall but it doesn't seem to help. I need to either: A. add category links to the Permanent Links Block because the Categories Block is missing in mobile view or B. fix the Top Horizontal Menu so it appears as the Permanent Links Block with Quick Search Can someone please help? I have also tried installing JBX menu. After install, when I go to configure the menu, it is missing from modules list. Hi Can anyone please help me fix the appearance of one of my subcategory from a parent menu, normally it should be displayed inline, but instead after the first sub-category the succeeding subcategories are now extending to the next line. see the attached pictures. tophorizontalmenu-01 and the other one tophorizontalmenu-02 -
Welcome! I have stumbled upon a situation with my top horizontal menu. I want to add both CMS and "normal" pages in it i.e. Payment is my CMS page and Contact is my "normal" page. The problem is as follows: I navigate Payment -> the link is ??????/content/5-payment Go to Contact -> the link stays as ?????/content/contact and it doesn't find the site because its located at ?????/contact. I could delete the "content" part of the link under SEO/URL but then the exact same problem happens with Categories. Is there another way to resolve this? It seems like a normal thing to do so I am surprised by this situation... Thanks, Tom -

Hi guys I'm writing to you because I need an urgent help with a problem I can't solve. I used a theme with last prestashop that for various reason I had to change. Then I decided to go to the basic template of prestashop. However when I first installed the theme, the top horizontal menu has become vertical! screen: I need the standard menu of basic template of prestashop as: demo.prestashop.com I have tried to reconfigure the module, but nothing has changed. I also eliminated cache (though it was not active) and nothing. I deleted the module completely and I uploaded via FTP the new one but still remains vertical. Can you help me? p.s.: the theme I used first, had a horizontal menu. never had a vertical menu! Thank you very much!

I am newbie to Prestashop and We have developed our multi-vendor market place using prestashop 1.6, It is working almost fine on computer, however while on mobile screen, cart block and horizontal top menu are not working fine and text is being overlapped I am attaching the screenshots. If I disable the cart block and the horizontal top menu, that the site (on mobile" appears okay, however when I enable these (or any of these) text on the screen is cluttered because of overlapping. I have tried uninstalling and installing the module (cart block), disable and enable the module on mobile even replacing complete copy of mobile folder of the theme.Theme being used is Bootstrap theme. However i had copied the same with new name and using the theme with new name in a bid to undesired changes to prevent automatic update. I am not sure whether it is the correct way. I am not sure but probably initially there were no issues, and in between i also have migrated my website from one host to another, if this is somehow related to issue, even though it shouldn't. The issue persists with different mobiles, so it is not a browser issue. I hope i have made myself clear, in case more information or clarification required, please let me know. following screenshots may help to understand the issue clearly Cart block as well as top horizontal modules are disabled on mobile: only Cart block module enabled Only top horizontal menu enabled: Thanks

Any ideas, how to fit top horizontal menu items in one row? I have 9 categories and in my computer they are in one row, but I discovered that in smaller screens there are two rows and its not visually very nice. e.g some code, that makes this menu fit screen or smth? Thanks!

Hello all. I am trying to get rid of the blank area to the right of the last link button of my Top Horizontal Menu. See attached file current.jpg I want to get it to look like attached file New.jpg Modified file: /themes/default-bootstrap/css/modules/blocktopmenu/css/superfish-modified.css Modifications: I changed the height of the menu and added a radius to the corners of 9px. (Lines 11 & 12) 8 .sf-menu * { 9 margin: 0; 10 padding: 0; 11 height: 40px; /* Added new height */ 12 border-radius: 9px; /* Added new border radius */ 13 list-style: none; } I use Google Chrome as my browser. I right clicked the blank area of the menu element in question and selected "Inspect Element" then changed two parameters to "none" to see what it would look like and it worked but I can't seem to duplicate the result in superfish-modified.css See attached file SetToNone.jpg Thanks in advance

Hello, please excuse me if this is not the correct place to open this topic... as mentioned in the title, my problem is related to the Top horizontal menu hover function: that means that i have main categories in the top menu but, i don't know why, it's some day that the hover effect doesn't work so that i can't see all the subcategories. this is the website: www.stylejungle.it From yesterday I've read and tried all tips that i found in the forum, from 2013 until today, (i've used this title as keyword in the forum..), but with no results. Hello! Please help how could I create a CLEARANCE button in the TOP HORIZONTAL MENU, under which there will be all the sales products showed keeping their category structure? So basically they will be showed like MEN, WOMEN, KIDS ... etc categories first and further on as Jackets, trousers etc, but only sales -
Default theme The top horizontal menu dissapears on mobiles and when the browser window is size is reduced. Is the top horizontal menu not responsive any more? Please advise how should get the top block menu to appear on mobiles again I have enabled that option to view on mobiles and tabs and computer in configure module -
I received an e-mail regarding security issues, and that I have to patch/upgrade. So, I decided to just upgrade to the latest version. However, there were errors after the update (I used the 1-click Upgrade): First error: No data on the Dashboard. It just keeps on loading. Please see attached image. Second error: The child items of the sidebar menu (back office) doesn't seem to be working. When I hover on the parent items(Dashboard, Catalog, Orders, etc.), the container of the child items displays none. Third error: On the front end, the top horizontal menu is broken. The items are now listed vertically, when they're supposed to be listed horizontally. Also, the child items are displayed, when it should be visible only when the parent item is hovered. Any fix anyone? Thanks.
