Hello, I'm using Postilla theme at Prestashop 1.7.4.4 and the thumbnails of my products are just the same as the head image but smaller. Now I want my thumbnail having a total different size than the headimage. My images are now 800x1074 (which we maybe change to 1024x768). But the thumbnail images should be 825x340px. Making the divs that size isn't the problem, but the thumbnail images are wrong filled. We can fix that but than in the productpage (where the pictures are 1024x768) I have plain background at the top and bottom to fill the rest of the image. So that's ugly. Is there an option to have a custom thumbnail photo instead of just a smaller image?

Hello, I've been searching for solution to change the product page layout for a while and i did found few posts on forum but couldn't get them to work. I'm using prestashop 1.6.1 and default theme. By default in product page there are 3 thumbnails under main image and there is a small arrow to show additional images. I like to show all available thumbnails of three. Some of my products contain 20 different images so changing the size of thumbnail not going to help. First picture is showing the default layout. second picture what i like to achieve: by the way i did find below post/solution but I couldn't get it to work and if possible I prefer to use override. https://www.prestashop.com/forums/topic/231411-solved-changing-thumbnail-display-in-product-page/ Thanks in advance.

Hello, Does anyone know how it is possible to display the thumbnail of the subcategories in the main menu. I added an image for all the subcategories in the Back Office, but they do not appear in the front office. I found some code to add the image of the parent category in the submenu, however I need to display all my subcategories with the image, the title and a short description. Any ideas? Thank you in advance My Prestashop version: 1.7.3.3

Hello, I have a problem with changing the sizes of the thumbnails. Although I have a small_default image type in the homepage on this particular module I would need it to be 85x85. But although I regenerated the thumbnails and turned off CCC and cache it still doesn't work. Do I need to edit a .php or .tpl file? I'm using PrestaShop 1.6.1.17. I also attached some pictures so that u can see the problem. I want the NATURAL photos to be 85x85, not resized from 320x320.

I have installed Prestashop 1.7.2 and I was surprised that it has built in option for generating High definition images. Soon I was disappointed viewing the images on my Mac with Retina display. The main images and product images are OK, but the thumbnail is displayed blurry. In cases that this option does't work properly I need one option, I want to set the size of thumbnail to 500px (instead of 250px) and displayed it in half of the size.Unfortunately I can't find the right css tag I have to modify. If somebody have some suggestions how to solve this and whether there is an option to generate really High definition thumbnail, please, help.

Hi all I have some questions about product images in prestashop. First of it all i'd like to know why some product thumbnails are filled with white, while others are properly enlarged. I even noticed that some miniatures end up being "smaller" in the large versions(i mean excluding the white background filler). Is there a way to avoid it during a regenerate thumbnails? Does it depend on the orginal image proportions? Where can i find the original image to change it and re-regenerate the thumbnails if that's a solution? I attached 2 products images to show the difference in thumbnail generation. Consider that as far as i remember the images on ebay were 500x500 pixels. Also i got another problem. I have a module that sincronizes my products with ebay. The image links it uses for it are all non secure(http:) while my settings force all pages in ssl. While i know that i could ask the module devs for a fix, i am not sure that it is specifically a problem with their module, it could be some option in the backoffice or some base prestashop class i need to change a little. Thanks in advance for the replies

Boas! Caso alguém me possa ajudar agradecia

Merci d'avance, Nathalie

Hello, I am currently struggling with an issue: how to render different thumbnails for in example just small_default.jpg files. What should I change in imageManager.php to check if the presta is processing small_default (or any other) file and add my changes to it? In which function should I look for it? I just want to render all the files as they are curently processing (with white stripes etc) but I just want to edit this one specific type to be render in different way (with Imagick but this is my issue). Any help will be appreciated.

Hi, I've just switched my hosting provider to Web Hosting Hub, since I'd seen they were a Prestashop preferred vendor awhile ago. The switch over wasn't easy and now that I've finally gotten it mostly working, there's still a few things that aren't quite right. I've searched for this info and can't find an answer anywhere. Basically the image gallery on the product pages isn't working. The cover image and the thumbnails show up but when you click on a thumbnail it doesn't switch out the main image and hovering over the large image doesn't magnify it anymore. I suspect that the javascript isn't working properly but I can't seem to find any error messages that would point to any clue. The thumbnail slider arrows work and the thumbnails slide and highlight their borders as usual. The only thing that I notice is that there's a "js_def" in the top left-hand corner of my site now and I imagine this means some JS is undefined. When I toggle the CCC settings in the Performance tab, the javascript will stop working altogether. I've cleared cache several times, both by the UI and manually, checked the browser console for errors (none), and just about anything else I could think of or find in any forums. I did check and there is a products.js file, so I know it's not missing. I have't modified the default template, I only altered the colors and images — so I'm really not sure where any code could be going wrong. I upgraded Prestashop using the 1-click upgrade after switching hosts, thinking it would possibly fix any of the initial switching errors but that didn't fix anything. I could really use some ideas on what to try next. See attached images for a visual on what's going on. The site is downunderhi.com No errors in the configuration info Thumbnail highlights but main image doesn't change js_def is printed in the upper left of my screen Thanks for your help!

Hi all, Does anyone else have this issue? When using the automatic resizing (thumbnail generation) function from admin, the image quality of the resultant thumbnails is very poor. Our source files are very clean, high res and high quality, and we've tried bumping the jpeg compression up to 100% in the admin panel. We've tried uncompressed png > jpg and high quality jpg > jpg. But the image quality coming out of the automatic resizing code seriously degrades the images. PLus we have a plain cream BG colour which gets artifacts all over it. What's going on?? Is it perhaps possible to replace the PHP library that's doing the image processing with a better one? If we can't resolve this we'll be forced to manually save out the images at all sizes (which is easy using photoshop's batch function) and replace the ones prestashop creates (which looks to be a major headache as it seems to put them in different directories...) Any pointers would be great. Cheers!

Hi, My shop is built with Prestashop 1.5.6.2. I would like to do the following : - replacing one product image and its thumbnails by a new one, while keeping the same image number (such as 10768 for instance) Of course, I can create the new thumbnails manually, give them the right name and put them on the server to replace the previous ones. But is there a way to do it more rapidly or through a specific module ? Thank you for any reply. Patrick

Hello, I am working on the default bootstrap theme (1.6.0.6) and i think the category thumbnails within the menu are really useful, however i would like to make them clickable and linked to their assigned category. With no luck so far. In the blocktopmenu.php file, I have tried to include the thumbnail <div> inside a <a href>, as you can see below, but it doesn't work: $html .= '<a href="'.$link.'" title="'.$category['name'].'">'; $html .= '<div><img src="'.$this->context->link->getMediaLink(_THEME_CAT_DIR_.$file) .'" alt="'.Tools::SafeOutput($category['name']).'" title="' .Tools::SafeOutput($category['name']).'" class="imgm" /></div>'; $html .= '</a>'; My syntax seems ok though...any idea on this ? Thanks

Hello everyone, I have the same problem you can see in this topic . I'm not able to use different images between the category banners and the thumbnails. If I upload an image for the category banner a smaller image is automatically uploaded as thumbnail and the result is awful. In the case I wasn't able to explain myself in a correct way, you can see an example on this page looking at the subcategory LEGNI ROCCE SABBIE PER.. The image you see there is the one I uploaded as banner category (i removed the oter banner category images so in the other sub-category there is the default image "image not avialable"). I tried to fix the problem doing this suggestion in the topic : It sounds a logical solution. But everytime I try do change the image in this way automatically it's uploaded again the banner category image on the file i'm trying to change. Any solution? Silvio (sorry for my english )
