Hi, I have enabled the option that a user can upload an image with the ordering of a product, using custom fields. The file gets uploaded, but when I download the file from the backend, I get a resized one instead of the original file. I do need the original file for printing purposes. So I upload an image with 300dpi, and when I download it, it is only 96dpi. I need the 300 one! How can I achieve this? Thanx.

Hey, I am trying to add a logo to my carrier but the logo goes bigger that it should be! I was wondering if there is any bug since it says in the help panel that it should be resized. Logo. Having a logo helps customers choose between different carriers more easily. PrestaShop will resize your image in order to fit in the checkout page. The logo will appear in each panel of the Carrier Wizard, as a reminder of which carrier you are editing/creating. Any help or tips are appreciated Best regards, Wasim

Prestashop 1.7 default functionality limits us to only resizing images. I wonder what you usually use when you want to get desired size of an image? Do you make some code overrides or use some module? What would be the code solution/module that takes a width and height and will resize and crop the image to ensure the resulting image is the exact size I requested. The aspect ratio is maintained but parts of the image may be cropped, however the resulting image is centered? For example if I have an image that is 640 x 480 and requested 400 x 100 image, I would expect the resulting image will be resized to 400 x 300 and then the height is cropped resulting in a 400 x 100 image.

Hello, I have a php script that resizes imagenes and I would like to convert this script into a module to be able to install it in prestashop. The idea would be to execute this code every time an image is added to a product. I can code php but I have never created a prestashop module. Can anybody provide some advise on how I could create this module ? Thank you.

J'ai suivi une formation intégrateur niveau 2 prestashop je voudrais participer au projet OpenSource, et mon formateur m'a invité à participer, ça fera même gagner des points à mon agence si on faisait un Pull Request ! Il m'a dit que je devais procéder comme ça : aller voir sur le forum, chercher, et pourquoi pas en parler. aller voir sur la forge, rechercher si l’issue est présente (elle l'est partiellement) si la demande n'est pas présente, la créer si je me sens capable de le faire, coder l'amélioration et proposer un Pull Request ça c'est la théorie, et j'ai à peu prêt compris. Venons en maintenant à la pratique, je résume ma demande : les redimensionnements des images sont vraiment très lacunaires ils ne gèrent pas de mode de redimensionnement (cover, contain, no_resize, adjust) ils ne gèrent pas d'alignement du redimensionnement (top, bottom, left, right, center) par défaut, le fond débordant est blanc. pas moyen de sélectionner une autre couleur. ce dernier point étant déjà reporté dans une issue du projet 1.5 j'aimerai donc avoir dans les options des formats d'image, un select pour le mode de redimensionnement (par défaut contain) un select pour l'alignement du redimensionnement (par défaut center center) un colorpicker pour la couleur d'arrière-plan en cas de bande-noire (blanche actuellement !) Cette amélioration est totalement rétro-compatible, je pense ? Ce sont donc 3 points qui sont liés (il affecte la même partie du code) mais qui correspondent à 3 fonctionnalités. Dois-je soumettre 1 ou 3 issues pour ces nouvelles fonctionnalités Si la demande que j'ai trouvée sur la forge est sur le projet 1.5, est-ce que ça rend cette demande obsolète ? ​si c'est le cas, dois-je créer une nouvelle demande dans le nouveau projet ? associer cette demande à l'ancienne ? déjà beaucoup de questions donc ! merci d’avance, et n'oubliez pas que je suis newbie !

This image was imported from external link with csv import, but in many product the image is very big. Are there any method for resize automatically this image? i've attach the screen of the problem. Hello, I made an import of products into my site from another shop, including each product image. The problem is that each of the images is very small and after the import Prestashop creates thumbnails with size of 700x879 but the photo itself is the same small photo with big white corners around it. Is it possible to resize photos that they would be 700x879 size, but made bigger and resized to this very size? As example photos looks like this: https://pasteboard.co/GX5fESa.png I need it to be full sized, without white space. Any ideas?

Hey guys, recently i've done 2 Prestashop templates that needed the zoom-crop functionality for certain image types ( see timthumb to know what i mean) . My first approach (it was Presta 1.4.x) was to override the The admin tabs and do lots of unneccessary stuff, then the other project came and when i was about to copy my old code i thought of a much better solution, so here it is : 0. Go to Preferences -> Images -> Add new and set the new image size that you want to be zoom-cropped (to fit the whole area) 2. I have a buyblock that is smashing things together, and I would like to know how to manually resize the block and where?

I have created sub-categories on my store, with images for the menu, but this also includes a really large 'cover image' when you click on the tab. The image is so big you have to scroll to find the products and therefore I want to remove the cover image but keep the thumbnails in the menu. I have tried various combinations in the category creation section of the BO but it seems to be an all or nothing option! I know there is probably an easy solution to this but I just can't find it. I don't want to have to go into coding as this really scares me (I'm likely to break something else!) Any suggestions? x

Bonjour, Je travaille actuellement à la mise en place d'un site de vente en ligne avec Prestashop 1.6. Je rencontre un problème au niveau de la configuration des transporteurs. Je crée mes transporteurs, mais les logos de ces derniers ne sont pas redimensionnés et explosent ma page de choix du transporteur côté front. Dans la doc, il est indiqué que le resize des logos est automatique. source: http://doc.prestashop.com/pages/viewpage.action?pageId=20840772 Dans mon cas, les inscriptions situées sous le champ d'upload du logo indiquent: Je suppose que le problème vient de la "taille actuelle indéfinie". Comment définir cette taille? J'ai bien fait un tour dans Préférences > Images mais comment savoir comment nommer mon type d'image pour qu'il agisse sur le logo des transporteurs? J'ai googlé le problème et fait une recherche sur ce forum, sans succès. Je n'ai rien contre le fait d'éditer la taille des logos à la main avec photoshop, mais ça ne s'adaptera pas à la version mobile du site automatiquement, ce qui pose problème. Hi, is anybody experienced with resizing default dimensions of minicslider module and tmhtml container in the template home page. I tried to change a width of minic slider in its panel control also, I removed to 2 banners in tmhtml in their control panels. The slider didn't change its width and tmhtml container didn't make 1 column banner layout. See my attached illustrations. Is there any control to modify those module beside their control panels? Hi, any one knows how to zoom out the default-bootstrap theme on prestashop 1.6 ? It's to big for my eyes. Now I use chrome builtin extension (ctrl - +) to zoom out or in the page. Is there such simple way to zoom out the theme? I know there is such line like @media screen (min-width: 0000px) { } , and I can modify a code in those brackets but that is to dificult.. I believe there must be the way like max-width of everything to lets say 994px and that's it. Anyway.. any help would be appreciate! Thanks in advance! Example of chrome zoom out/in:

Hello all this is my first post Well, my prestashop weighs arround 9GB is that normal? The almost all weight are the images (7,4GB) The shop has over 4k products and the image settings in the backoffice are in 'default mode' (default mode is: I didnt touch anything since I installed). It's fine for the weight of the thumbnails and size but muy problem comes with the original image. Im not who manage the shop, im just the developer and admin but i'm not who insert the products (neither the images) So there is any way to resize the original image that prestashop saves in the products img folder? Because in the product image folder, I have the next: The original (that still dunno where prestashop use this and is too heavy ). 5 thumbnails which its weight is fine and prestashop uses for products page, categories, cart, etc (small, medium, large, and not remember what follows). Sorry for my low level english. Have fun EDIT: (4k products = 4000 products) Somebody knows how much is the weight arround 10k products? Thats the number of products will get the shop..

Does anyone know whether Prestashop creates progressive jpg files when it resizes its images? If so, great. If not, then it really should, but does anyone know how to make it do so? I presume whichever library Prestashop uses for resizing (GD/ImageMagik?) has this as an option?

Good afternoon everybody, I've added a banner in the left column of the default responsive theme. I'm just wondering why this image doesn't resize (on smaller or tablets screens) just like the other banners, on top and bottom position, do. I took a look at the html code and I found out that while top and bottom positioned banners have percentage dimension (100%), the ones on the left column have fixed dimension (in px), so I guess this could be the reason why left images aren't responsive. I tried to do something in the left column code in order to fix it but I can't get the file I have to work on. Can somebody please give me some help? Thanks.

Could someone advise me how i can reduce the height of the slider and images frame on default template theme. Hi my client has requested that the slider size to be reduced. I would like to reduce the height, not the width. I have tried to reduce image size but this doesn't make any difference. Where could i locate the CSS or HTML files to change the file size. Thank you
