I bought a module but it's not working as I have expected. The module is very costly so I would like to refund it. The developer of the module of course wants access to our website back office to check for himself, which for security reasons I cannot provide. Tried contacting Prestashop on Facebook but nobody has answered since last week. Why requesting a refund is such a hassle?

Version prestashop : 1.7.3.3 Bonjour à tous, J'essaie de développer un module permettant d'effectuer le remboursement d'une commande faites avec Stripe au travers des hooks d'annulation de commande. J'ai recherché, mais je n'ai pas trouvé de solutions à l'heure actuelle ? L'idée étant de ne plus devoir passer systématiquement par le dashboard de Stripe. J'ai tout d'abord fait un premier essai concluant en liant l'action de remboursement à l'api lorsque je visualise une commande. Malheureusement je bloque sur un point pour lequel vous aurez peut-être une solution lorsque j'utilise le hook de remboursement. A l’exécution de l'action, le seul retour que j'ai est une page blanche, et pas de trace d'erreur ni dans les logs de prestashop, ni sur ceux du serveur. A force de fouiner un peu, j'ai trouvé que le problème était au niveau de la classe Stripe, lorsqu'il définit l'ApiKey, mais le même code fonctionne très bien sur l'action "HookDisplayAdminOrder", donc je sèche...Si quelqu'un a une solution ou une explication, je suis preneur 😅 Merci beaucoup ! English : Hello everyone, I'm trying to develop a module to refund an order made with Stripe through the order cancellation hooks. I've been looking for it, but I haven't found any solutions yet? The idea is to no longer have to systematically go through the Stripe dashboard. I first tried to link the refund action to the api when I view an order. Unfortunately I'm stuck on a point that you may have a solution for when I use the refund hook. When the action is executed, the only return I get is a blank page, and no trace of error in either the prestashop or server logs. I found that the problem was in the Stripe class, when it defines the ApiKey, but the same code works fine on the "HookDisplayAdminOrder" action, so I'm out of luck...If anyone has a solution or an explanation, I'm interested 😅 Thanks a lot! public function hookActionProductCancel($params) { if (!Configuration::get('MP_DEBUG_MODE')) { $privateKey = Configuration::get('MP_STRIPE_TEST_SECRET_KEY'); } else { $privateKey = Configuration::get('MP_STRIPE_LIVE_SECRET_KEY'); } $logger = new FileLogger(0); //0 == debug level, logDebug() won’t work without this. $logger->setFilename(_PS_ROOT_DIR_."/log/debug.log"); $order = new Order($params['id_order']); try { Stripe::setApiKey($privateKey); $order_payment = OrderPayment::getByOrderId($order->id);//on declanche le remboursement Refund::create([ 'payment_intent' => $order_payment[0]->transaction_id, 'amount' => Tools::ps_round($order->getTotalProductsWithTaxes(),2)*100, ]); $order->setCurrentState((int)Configuration::get('PS_OS_REFUND')); } catch (Exception $e){ $logger->logDebug($e); } }

Hi, today we put into production our new version of PrestaShop. We have built it up from scratch, without any migration from the previous version. When we were testing the functionalities everything was working fine. But today when swapped it from the old to the new version for production, we discovered that it is not possible to generate a credit-slip or to get as expected the possibility to register a return or partial return. It simply does not give us this option. We have enabled merchandise returns as well as we were given a message that this was turned off. Any good advise on how to resolve it will be very much appreciated as we really are giving our clients the possibilities to cancel or return their orders. Sincere regards, V. Bjerkeland.

Hello Community, I'm seeking advice regarding a theme I bought a while ago. Since I installed it, it has given me nothing but trouble, it's error after error and all i get is replies requesting my credentials for ad-hoc fixes. I have spent more time testing the site for errors than actually loading products for the store. Moreover when I tried to talk to the theme support requesting a reason why a poorly coded theme is sold to the public, all i get is replies written in poor English, the likes of "We fixed your issue. Thank you!", "And we checked your site, it's working", when they clearly haven't because i keep finding more errors. I'm seeking a fair solution but the developer does nothing but reply in a machine manner, I assume they don't understand or just refuse to acknowledge my claims. Is there a way to get a refund or have somebody from Prestashop to intercede on my behalf? Because after all the so called fixes, the theme itself is faulty and paying 105 dollars for a theme that isn't fully functional is a robbery.

I am trying to locate the following section of orders page as I would like to add an addition input for administrator to fill in. I understand that the cancelProduct is using AdminOrdersController. Anyone can show me where to edit the section below? This section will pop up once you click "Standard Refund" or "Return Products" Thank you.

Hello, The purchased theme is not suitable for the use I wanted. Would it be possible to get a refund? Because it remains a significant amount in my student budget, and the product purchased does not meet my expectations. Can you return a refund (or voucher to find the product I'm looking for)? Thank you to you Order ID : Commande #1031959 20/11/2018

Hi I have the latest version of Prestashop and the official PayPal module installed. I have noticed a couple of bugs. One: the One Click link seems to hang on mobile interfaces and generates an AJAX error message. Two: The refunds via Prestashop don't go through to PayPal. I have searched the forum but I'm seeing conflicting information. Some people say this is a feature and refunds have to be issued via PayPal and some say this is a defect and it should be linked to PayPal. Can someone clarify this please?

Hello! I am using Prestashop version 1.6.1.5. I have a small problem down to my lack of experience... A person has ordered a product, but before I could forward that product to the supplier to be shipped we had to announce that we are out of stock. I do not really know how to refund this person's money before the product has even been sent off... Muchly appreciate your help... if I have gone about this post in the wrong way then please forgive, this is my first post! Thanks!!

I am looking for a solution to retrieve/grab refund values in order page. I am creating an automatic refund with this value. Currently, I am not able to grab the price as it is returning 0. $order_detail = new OrderDetail((int) $params['id_order_detail']); $products = $this->context->cart->getProducts(true); $cancel_quantity = Tools::getValue('cancelQuantity'); $amount = (float) ($products[(int) $order_detail->id]['product_price_wt'] * (int) $cancel_quantity[(int) $order_detail->id]); After clicking on the checkbox, I will pass the value to refund in another process. Can anybody advise how can I pass the values based on checkboxes selected? Any help is greatly appreciated. Thank you.

I am using Prestashop 1.6 with Stripe payment module at the moment. There is a backend functionality which enables to execute a full or partial refund by inserting "Stripe Transaction ID". I would like to extend this feature into an individual order. That said, the image below is an execution when I clicked "Standard Refund" in individual order page. I will grab the "Stripe Transaction ID" and amount to push to STRIPE via API for the refund to take place. Can anyone advise on the action hook that is triggering when I execute the refund? I have read on the hooks below. There are not much documentation nor anyone using these that I am able to refer to: hookActionProductCancel hookActionProductDelete cancelProduct Thank you.

It is absolutely incredible, I had a problem with a seller of modules and I asked him a refund because his module does not work in my online shop. Of course, he said not to the refund, and nobody in Prestashop Addons can help me. Even, they dont have any email or form to make a complain. Finally, after many searchs, I found a form to contact Prestashop Addons. And which was their answer? They answered that I must use a form to contact the department of payments. But you know, where this form carries me???? It even is funny. The form only is to contact the seller of the module. But I do not want to speak with this scammer again!!! Well, my money is lost and I am not troubled about this small quantity of money. I am only angry due to the terribly bad, even non-existent, customer attention service from Prestashop Addons. And I will also write here about the seller of the module. Maybe nobody from Prestashop take care of customers. But at least customers will be adviced by me, and also by other many buyers whom suffered a similar problem. You only have to use Google to find them. I bought the module "Bitcoin HD - Accept bitcoins directly into your wallet" from Community developer.I bought this module because it says that it is compatible with Prestahop v1.6.0.4 to v1.7.2.4. My version is v1.6.0.9, but the module never worked. The seller never sent any instruction or explanation, only sent to me different versions of his module, but none of them worked. I asked a refund but the seller said that I must update my Prestashop version. I answered that my Prestashop is working perfectly and I will not update it, besides the module must work with v1.6.0.9, as he offers. Finally, the seller asked FTP access to my online shop. I answered that I dont give FTP access to unknown people, and this literally was his answer: "Do not be paranoid, we work with hundred and hundred of customers". This individual thinks that we are stupid. If we give FTP access to him, we will be always tied to him, and we will never be able to write a complain against him. Or even worst...

I want to ask for a refund for a theme that is incompatible with godaddy economy hosting. Whom do I contact? I contacted the developer and they told me to ask prestashop addons directly at https://addons.prestashop.com/en/contact-us But the automated process takes me to the developer again.

Hello, I have bought a theme from addons.prestashop.com, but it has huge loading time after installing it, i mean like 60 seconds on the homepage, I contacted the seller and he gave me some retarded answers ( all were non sense ), after which his final answer was to enable the prestashop cache cause it's faster ! After asking for a refund, because the theme is unusable and his lack of interest to fix it he did not answer anymore. Outrageous ! My question is this, how can I get a refund, I cannot find a way to contact prestashop regarding this issue, when i select problem with a product I have, it sends the messages to the seller, not to the prestashop theme.

When creating a refund for a single item on an order that has multiple, prestashop has decided to refund the full amount and on the credit slip it shows all the products on the order. We generated a partial refund for 2x Henri armchairs (£335 each) and the credit slip amount in the BO shows £670, which is correct. However when we download the PDF, it shows the other product, Cecile stool as being refunded also, and the credit note total shows £868.00. Another Credit slip has generated OK (we think because this was refunding all products on the order anyway). 2.Another issue is that when we are refunding a quantity of 2 units (or more) the calculation isn’t correct at the bottom. I’ve replicated this on our 1.6.1.0 site and it doesn’t have this issue. When the refund is generated as is, the credit note does come out at £198.00. Also is it possible to add notes on the credit slip field, like we can on invoices? This way when we download the credit slip table, we can see notes against the actual credit.

Hey Folks! We are currently struggling with the cart logic when applying partial refunds to an order. Long story short: - Customer has an order with 3 items, each 10€ - Cart rule with voucher for a 10% discount, results in total sum of 27€ --> Partial refund - When selecting partial refund for one single product without voucher, the refund is reduced by 3€. ----> So the refund of the single product is set to 7€ instead of 9€. As far as I understand the interesting parts are done within the admin/orders.js and in the form.tpl, together with some parts from the AdminOrdersController. The JS is just reducing the amount, because "it" doesn't know whether this voucher is a reduction by % or €, so it also won't be able to calculate the right sums. It seems the logic is missing whether this is partial or not, because the partial refund can't be applied partially... Are there any plans of "fixing" this or am I wrong or what can I do when I'd like to avoid calculating it all by myself and insert the value manually...? Best regards & thanks for your help, Philipp Siegmund Browserwerk - Prestashop Agentur

Hello basically I have an issue with the refund process of prestashop. Let say that I have one order that has total $10.00 and 5 products Product A: $5 Product B: $1 Product C: $1.50 Product D: $1.50 Product E: $1 and I have accepted the payment, I want to refund the product A because is out of stock that means I will refund $5, and the total from $10 has to be $5. I'm changing the status to refund I'm selecting the product that I want to refund and then the prestashop creates a credit slip. So far is correct? If yes then why the total is not changing to 5 instead of 10 and the new invoices that I'm generating to show the refund or at least to removed the refunded product and update the total with the new value? Also is not updating the total of the order after the refund also the stats in dashboard are wrong because the total that represent is containing and the refund price as well Thank you I'm working on prestashop 1.6.1.1

Hi, Just testing refunding orders with the PayPal Europe version 3.7.2 and PS 1.6.0.9. I'm finding it is not quite functioning as I expect, but not sure if I'm not following the right process. I'd be interested to hear feedback in how other people handle it, or if there is a bug and work around. Scenario 1: Complete order refund: Click on the PayPal "Refund total transaction" button. This does refund the payment, and sets the order status to refunded and add the transaction details in a message on the order. But it does not change the refunded / returned / Quantity Available numbers against the product. We are using advanced stock management, and I do see the product number increase after the transaction, but the order page still displays incorrectly. It concerns me that this may cause stock management issues Scenario 2: Complete order refund: Click on 'Return Products' Select the products to be returned Check restock Products, Generate a Credit Card Slip Press the return products buttons This successfully refund the products and seems to update the stock count against the product correctly. However, If there is a voucher applied to this transaction, The process tries to refund more than the initial transaction and results in the paypal refund failing. Which leads me to: Scenario 3: Partial Refund Click on 'Partial Refund' Enter the amount against the product to refund (Total product amount minus discount) Select Re-stock product And Refund. And NO Paypal transaction is performed. No Error, no record of transaction. So in summary, the Paypal 'refund total transaction', works but doesn't seem to manage stock levels correctly. The Return products doesn't let me deal with Cart Voucher / discount. And Partial refund doesn't perform a paypal refund. Any suggestions? Thanks

Removing products in payed orders
Antonio Sánchez posted a topic in Configuring and using PrestaShop
Hi. I have just found out that it is still possible to remove products, even the entire line item, in orders already payed. Appropriately, after saving the modified order, a warning is displayed in red color: "Warning: Payed X (original order) instead of Y (modified order)". What's the point on this? Shouldn't it be disallowed? Actions like "Partial refund" or "Return merchandise" should be used instead, shouldn't they? Thanks. 1.6.0.14, bootstrap
