Hi. Unfortunately our web-shop was stolen including all our domains, mails at our hosting: Azero. We have to start from scratch as their backups and even their central administration systems, was hacked too. We now has the possibility to start from scratch ;/ Yay Y So what to choose? A version of 1.7.x? or 8.1? We want to try to make fast contents with CSV import with combinations - Is it possible and which version is best for that? Before: We had our web-shop at PS 1.6.1.13 and never got to use the Migration tool we bought for upgrading to 1.7.x. We didn't had a lot of modules - only the some freewares, Mega Menu, EU Cookie Law GDPR, Official GDPR Compliance by PS 1.5 & 1.6), Combinations pictures and Bulk Mass editing, which I think is either integrated or 8.1 ready. And the Theme was free and not without faults.

Hello all. I just made a new install of prestashop 1.7.3.1 My php version is 7 I am hosting on arvixe shared hosting First time after installing, the frontend login page and admin login page could not display login form , Based on previous issues reported on same case here, I modified the config/config.inc.php and set the debug to "true" . Then the login form started showing Now the login works fine on the front end but I can't login to my admin panel I found out my admin folder is automatically renamed each time I try to login Example, in my first image I have renamed the folder to admin and the URL displayed the login form correctly But when I try to login with my credentials to mywebsite/admin/ I am automatically redirected to a new admin URL like http://mywebsite/admin310cxj3bk/index.php?controller=AdminLogin&token=d6f4a1b93279da89db550b9b948c83f9&redirect=AdminDashboard On checking my file manager , I found out the admin folder has been renamed as indicated in the link above . When I rename this back to admin/ and try to login again , the process is repeated and my admin folder gets another new name I have asked my hosting provider and they said the server is working fine , I should check the script I am confused because this is my first experience with prestashop. Can someone pls explain what is wrong ? Really love the prospects of prestashop script but if this persists, don't know how I can proceed with this. I really need help on this .Thanks

Hi, I have installed clean three times now and am having the same issue each time; the admin folder isn't being renamed during the install process, and therefore my back office doesn't load. The shop with demo data IS loading, so I know the install was ok for that. Since I also had a couple of PHP warnings during the install, I wonder if this is related to the fact that the version of PHP on my host server is PHPv7. Can anyone confirm the PHP version compatible with the latest version of Prestashop and if not v7, are there any updates on when it might be compatible? I can't go back to an earlier version of PHP as my host will only give me the option of v5.6 but will charge me for support, since it's no longer current, and my new install of Wordpress also needs v7. TIA for any and all help or pointers. Kath

Question before I commit to PS
Feeby Neko posted a topic in Installing PrestaShop for the first time
Hello, there! My name is Feeby and I have been running my own small business for awhile now. I already have a website and things have been going great. So great in fact that I want to upgrade to something a lot more professional than what I have. I've chosen PrestaShop but I have a possibly complicated question first. I have a self hosted WordPress site. I do not plan to integrate the two -BUT- until my PrestaShop is set up I don't want to tear down or install over an existing storefront. I need a place for my customers to go while I figure the ins and outs of PS. My question being can I, easily and without much issue, install PS in a sub folder of my site (example: nekocreations.com/prestashop) until I'm done setting it up and then make it my main thing later on when I'm ready? I figure I'd keep my WP as it is for now and then move it to /blog or something later on when PS is ready. This way I don't disrupt my customer flow too much. Please and thank you!- 3 replies

I have installed a new copy of PrestaShop 1.6.0.9 and when I tried to upload somethimes the images are uploaded, but some thumbnails were missing, or some of the images were not uploaded at all. I did a long research what the problem could be. What I found (for example folder permissions, memory_limit or bugs in older PS versions) was not my case. Now I'm thinking that there is some misconfiguration of the server, but I didn't find anything suspicious... Here is my php info http://evroweb.com/teos/i.php P.S. I noticed that with a memory_limit of 128M I cannot access the back-office Modules page. I accessed it when I increased it to 256M. Any suggestions please?

Hello, After a new install (1-click upgrade doesn't work on my 1.5.4.1 store for some reason) I get a blank homepage and this error message: Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 33554432 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 122880 bytes) in /public_html/presta/tools/smarty/sysplugins/smarty_internal_compile_include.php on line 150 The 1.5.4.1 runs just fine, but I cant make this one work. What should I do? The back office is slow too (and I wish I knew how to import products & categories, because this feature doesn't seem to work either). Thank you

Hello, So I have been running a friends Prestashop for awhile now without any problems. I decided to start my own yesterday and manage both. After installing a new one on a new hosting account with a new database, I can not login in to back office at all. I tried wrong passwords and usernames to make sure the error would come up which it did however, when I type in the right information it reloads the same page with no errors. This has happened on two different versions 1.4.8.2 the first install where the problem happened and 1.4.7.2, where the problem still persists. I am using godaddy ultimate hosting service, NEW databases where made for each new installation, and I followed directions exactly. I even cleared the Cache and history like someone suggested and tried several browsers. I should also mention the store itself works great! not a thing wrong with it. What am I doing wrong here? *EDIT* Apparently you have to wait around 2 hours before you can actually login in the first time. Everything is up and running!

I copied my store over to a new site to use as a sandbox. I upgraded it, had a few issues (all my products showed up twice) and there was no depth to the website, but the front page mostly worked. I installed a new theme compatible with 1.4.4.1 The entire front end went away. Is it possible to just do a clean in stall of 1.4.4.1, and my new theme, set it up the way I want, then migrate my current database with customers, sales, products, etc over to the new and pretty shop, without having to completely go through the code and try to figure out what the heck is wrong? TY
