Hi, I'm brand new to Prestashop and i wanted to know what type of MySQL engine is the best for Prestashop ? in fact does prestashop support stored procedures and primary/foreign key ? if yes than it should be innoDB as engine. Am I right ? thx.

Hello I've an old db running under ps 1.5.4.0. I noticed that it is myisam where all my other databases are innodb. Is this a problem or could it be problem when i want to upgrade to 1.5.6.2 or in the near future to 1.6.x ? If so, is there anyone who can explain how change the database to innodb? Reagards maniot

Hello I have shop on PrestaShop 1.5.4.1 where all MySQL tables from PrestaShop installation are set to InnoDB utf8_general_ci, but tables created by some modules are set to MyISAM utf8_polish_ci or utf8_bin (maybe these modules was installed on MySQL 5.6 and PS 1.5.4.1 has some issues with InnoDB on MySQL 5.6). Is that difference with MySQL engines can cause issues? Thank you for answers Best regards

Hi, During my first installation of prestashop using MySQL MyiSAM engine i got an error message as in the attached file. I tried to find a log somewhere, but i didn't find some file written by prestashop. Any idea where could i look for or what is it ? thx.

Hello on start: i'm noob in Data Bases I've extract all files and pass 2 first step of configuration. Now database... i have to install it on server in my my network. But I don't have full permission to MySQL on that server what should I please my admin to make? Am I need own account in date base server with full permission just to my database? Is it possible to make user with have access just to my own base? And can my MySQL server let install base with engine MyiSAM? Sorry for my uncompetences, I try to find something on web but i can't. My boss decide to make e-shop but i never do it. Thank you.

Zdravím všechny, potřeboval bych poradit. Nemůžu nainstalovat Prestu na svůj VMS u Spolehlive-servery.cz. Zkoušel jsem 1.4.9.0 i 1.5.1.0, obojí se zasekne při instalaci pokud zvolím DB engine na InnoDB. "Zakrouží mi ty šipky" jakože to instaluje a po chvíli to prostě zmizí a zůstávám na stejné obrazovce. Když zvolím typ databáze na MyISAM, instalace obou verzí proběhne. V obou případech se i databáze vytvoří, v phpMyAdminu vidím i InnoDB, i MyISAM, podle toho co zvolím, jen u InnoDB ta instalace havaruje. InnoDB na hostingu jde určitě, protože třeba WP to používá taky, tam problém není. Dokonce jsem tam i přesouval nainstalované Presty, které taky mají InnoDB a vše funguje. Když jsem zkoušel instalaci verze 1.4.9.0, zapnul jsem si error log a našel tam toto: [17-Oct-2012 19:00:48 UTC] PHP Warning: mysql_fetch_assoc() expects parameter 1 to be resource, boolean given in /home/www/ceskysoft.cz/www/test2.ceskysoft.cz/classes/MySQL.php on line 175 Napoví někdo jak na to? Obejít to umím. Nainstaluji s MyISAM a změním ručně na InnoDB, ale rád bych věděl, kde to vázne. Doplněno: U verze 1.5.1.0 skončím takto: 13% Create settings.inc file Create database tables An error occured during installation... Na serveru žádný log...

Bonjour, J'ai migré ma boutique d'une version 1.3 vers 1.4 tout marche nickel. Je voulais vos conseils, le moteur de mes tables est resté en MyISAM, me conseille vous de modifier le moteur mysql en InnoDb comme sur une version native 1.4. Merci pour vos conseils

Does anybody know of a way (beside the tedious manual way of doing it) to upgrade from and old MyISAM prestashop DB to the new InnoDB DB-structure? I refuse to continue working on MyISAM-tables so I'll have to make the switch somehow, question is how much work will it be. Worst case scenario we'll have to loose old orders, and port customers and products manually ?
