Hi, I have set my shop to Maintenance mode and has been working fine for months whilst the site is being developed, however I recently have got many different people to check if they can view my site and they can without me adding there IP address. Please can anyone help me to resolve this issue? Thanks, Tommy

I thought it would be a good idea to upgrade to the newest version of prestashop and so I enabled the 1 click upgrade module. It said I had to be in maintenance mode in order to update, i clicked on the indicated zone link and it switched me into maintenance mode automatically. After checking out all of the requirements in order to upgrade I decided not to do it after all, but since then I can't get out of maintenance mode! When I change it to enable shop and click on "save" it gives me the http 500 code and says the page is not available so I am stuck in the back office. I am a complete prestashop newbie and am not sure what to do. I checked on some forums to see what people recommended. I cleared my cache, but it didn't change anything. I also deleted the 1 click upgrade module. Nothing is working. I have no idea how to write HTML or where to find it in Prestashop. I need help urgently, please!!! Thanks

Hi all, I need to put our website www.thera-bands.co.uk into maintenance mode, but even though the back-end of the shop says that the shop is not enabled, the website it is still showing as normal. The other noticeable issue is that I have, in the past, used "static block" to show a message saying that we are away for a particular period. This is not appearing to work either. Approximately 1 month ago we moved the website from a shared server on 1and1 to a private server hosted by 1and1. I don't know if this is relevant but I can't think of anything else that has changed. Is this a prestashop problem or a 1and1 problem? Please help. Thanks

Hi! So I have read several other threads about this, but nothing seems to be working for me. Maintenance mode was working last week, but now I can't get it to work properly. According to my database, maintenance mode is in fact enabled (PS_SHOP_ENABLE is set to 0). But, I can still see the website everywhere. I even removed all whitelist IP addresses, and it still shows. I have tried changing the code in classes/tools.php as recommended in another thread, but that didn't work. I have cleared the cache. I can't seem to get this to work. Any ideas? I am running version 1.6.0.14.

Hi there, My shop is stuck in maintenance mode on some computers. I have added the IP, saved, and on some computers it will work fine, on others it will still say maintenance mode. I have cleared cache, tried different ISPs, and it's still the same situation. I've even enabled the shop and I have the same problem still. Even Presto Changeo, on the other side of the atlantic, is having the same problem with my site. Can anyone help please? I really wanted to go live this week... PS 1.5.3 Thanks in advance

Hello, Until recently, we were running Prestashop 1.5.1.0 without issue, but after our webhost rolled out a forced PHP update, our website started generating errors and many functions were broken. After receiving little help from them, I attempted to update prestashop to 1.6.1.3, which eliminated the errors, but left our website in worse shape by re-positioning all modules at the bottom of the page which required excessive scrolling just to view. I was unable to move them into place either through hooks or through live-edit, and after struggling with the problem, eventually rolled back to 1.5.1.0. Now, despite the fact that I've re-enabled the store, and have re-enabled the webservice, the website seems to be stuck in maintenance mode! It is not a browser cache issue, as I was able to get the same result on my smartphone, which had never previously been used to browse the site. This leaves me with two questions: 1) What other steps are required to get the website active again, aside from enabling the shop and enabling webservice? (No the multi-shop function is not used) 2) How can I maintain the module positions from Prestashop 1.5.1.0 when upgrading to 1.6.1.3? I also tried an upgrade to 1.5.6.3 but the issue remains the same. On a positive note, I did confirm that the new prestashop versions work with the newer PHP our webhost has forced upon us, so if somebody knows how to retain the module positions then the upgrade would be the solution. Being stuck in maintenance mode only appears to occur when rolling back to 1.5.1.0. Thanks in Advance for the help.

Hi all, My website isn't finished yet and I'm waiting for my goods to arrive. Which means the website is in maintenance mode. I already would like to start building a database with potential customers and people who would like to subscribe to my newsletter. There are some pop-up addons/modules, with email subscription, but I'm not sure this will work in maintenance mode. I already contacted several times the support team, but never got any answer. I'am losing time. I already thought about partnerships like leadpages, but It seems to difficult for what I am only searching for. Can somebody help me on this matter? Kind regards,

Hi all. The title says it all really... Quite simply, once the site is live and in use - is it safe and or possible to add products to the shop without using maintenance mode? In addition to this, is it ok to have multiple data being entered at the same time from different back office users? Thank you.

Hi Guys. I cannot login to my back office any more. When I first installed Prestashop 1.6 i set it to maintenance mode, not thinking about the router dynamic ip address. DERR!!! My question is how do i get myself out of this mess? or do I have to install the whole site again. Thanks for your help in advance. Paul

I recently installed Prestashop and I am starting to add products. I followed the instructions on the User's Guide to disable the site while I am working on it and I clicked the "Add my IP" button so I could still preview my site while I am doing work. However, when I click "preview" to see a product I added or the "my shop" button at the top of the screen I can't see the front end of my store, only the maintenance mode icon that customers are supposed to see. Any ideas how to fix this?

Hi there, I have upgraded my prestashop test shop from 1.4.11 to 1.6.0.6. It stays in maintenance mode (I have already cleared the cache, removed the smarty directories, put the PS_ENABLE_SHOP to 1, etc) and I cannot modify certain settings like for compiling and activate cache. I also cannot add products and categories. The fields where I have to add the information are all blank. Any ideas? thanks a lot in advance!

Hi, I upgraded my shop and realized that, although everything else works, I can't put my shop on maintenance mode anymore. There is no error message when I save my preferences on maintenance mode, but on the front page the Configuration checklist shows that the shop is wide open to the world. This is quite inconvenient, 'cause I haven't launched my store yet... What to do? The only error message I can find in the store is telling me to install a memcache (or other cache module). Can this cause problems with maintenance mode? I had a peak at how to install the memcache and desided I don't have time to get into all that php mumbo jumbo right now (I've avoided php for as long as I could, but it seems my time is up on that one). How can I hide my store? If you can't help me with the maintenance mode, is there another way to hide it temporarily? I really don't want prying eyes scanning the raw fruits of my labor. Much obliged Onlinegore (newbie aka very very lostie)
