Hi, everyone. I really need help with setting up languages on the site. It is necessary that the admin panel of the website is in English. And the frontend of the website was in Norwegian. I installed two languages (the admin panel is now in the language I need), but the external part of the website automatically becomes multilingual. A language switch appears on the site, all products, etc., can now be filled in two languages. Is there any way to avoid this? Hello, i have a problem occuring every time i'm trying to install prestashop (1.7.4.2), no matter what language i choose, there is an error saying: Already tried with English nad Polish, same result.

Is there any easy way to select & then remove all unused languages files (in core and modules) which make transfer time much longer everytime you need to FTP up & down because of the size of packages? Thanks

Hi PS Community, I'm working on a "quite complex" projet, and i'm struggling with multilingual navigation. My question is about updating Cookie Language. Here is my Prestashop 1.6.1 featuring a Wordpress area : https://www.gaston-mercier.com/pages/ (WP home FR) Multilingual nav (top right) is ok for posts, taxnomys, but i'm still in hard time for Homepage of Wordpress. Yes, i do know this is a Prestashop forum ! If i go to PS home, then turn to EN, i can navigate through entire website in EN, including WP, and getting back to FR from everywhere. But switching language at this WP homepage is so cryptic ! Witam, Posiadam sklep wielojęzyczny na prestashop 1.7 Posiadam włączony moduł do zmiany języka na pasku na górze jednak chciałbym aby był bardziej widoczny też w treści strony. próbuje stworzyć link do zmiany języka w treści, czyli na stronie produktu nad opisami. Hallo Gemeinde, mir ist aufgefallen dass wenn man etwas per Vorkasse bei uns im Shop bestellt, die Seite die nach dem Klick auf JETZT KAUFEN kommen sollte brauch ewig lange zu laden, also die Seite wo die Bankdaten angezeigt werden. Wenn man jetzt zum Beispiel zu ungeduldig ist und nochmal auf JETZT KAUFEN klickt bekommt man logischerweise eine Fehlermeldung. Das Problem tritt nur bei der Bezahlmethode Vorkasse/Banküberweisung auf. Woran könnte das liegen und wie kann ich dort die Ladezeiten verkürzen? Bonjour à tous ! Je bosse sur un module, et je bloque sur l'ajout d'un champ langue. En fait j'avais créé un modèle, dont je créée et édite les objets grâce aux helpers (donc comportement automatique). Mais j'ai voulu passer certains champs texte en multilingue, et ils ne sont pas enregistrés en BDD. J'ai bien les tables "ps_objet" et "ps_objet_lang". Lors de l'enregistrement d'un objet, la table langue est bien alimentée pour les champ "id_lang" et "id_objet", mais les champ multilingue eux-même restent vides. Si je met ces champs en required, prestashop me renvoie une erreur disant que le champ est vide, et effectivement si je fais des print_r dans objectModel, je me rend compte que les valeurs de mes champs ne sont pas transmises... HELP ! merci

Prestashop 1.6.0.8 Hi How do I set the PS_LANG_DEFAULT value in code? Reason is that I am running a modified version of the AdminImportController.php script on the command line. This worked ok in version 1.5 but in 1.6 there seems to be a problem. I have six languages. Whatever language is passed on the command line then updates all other languages for the same product. For example if I want to load only English for Product A, then the description and short description for all languages are updated to English. Any help greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Hello, The English language in Prestashop have an international abbreviation EN, Russian - RU, France - FR etc. So every language had an own personal code. I want to insert this language code into my template URLs. We write: http://mysite.com/shop/themes/mytheme/{CURRENT-LANUGAGE-CODE}/img.png ...and get link looks like http://mysite.com/shop/themes/mytheme/en/img.png ...if customers current language is English. If user switch site language to Russian, links become looks like http://mysite.com/shop/themes/mytheme/ru/img.png Now I use code {l s='en'} and translate it to get another language, but it's isn't good solution. What code I must to insert to get current language abbreviation?

I try to build a prestashop in my qnap TS-112 and 2 hosts in different space. qnap TS-112 with Qpkg 1.5.4.1 2 hosts with 1.5.5.0 (download from prestashop) I can install easily. Then I try to setup my shop. Here are 3 problems. 1. It's chinese with other language. And I don't know how to fix it or translation by myself. 2. I try to upload a payment and it's success. Then I can't find it in Payments and Gateway. Actually, I can't find it in module. But I can upload language pack. 3. in Preferences SEO & URLs Set up URLs I create a .htaccess file. (empty) then Internal Server ErrorI tried CHMOD 666 & 777. Still Internal server error. I worked 3 days still progress 0%. I had use ECSHOP, Shopex and some other shop system, enen mall system. But no one is so hard to setup. Any one can help me?

Prestashop does not allow to define the lang of an attachment. Does anyone knows how to do this? I am working on a 1.4.9 project, and the site has 5 different languages. Some product have a PDF file with instructions. This file is attached to the product, but has to be available to download in the clients active language. When attaching a file to a product, one can define the title and description in the various langs, but not the file itself. If I have a PDF in french and another in english, both files are shown in the product page. This is no good. I made some changes in the database and core files, and succeed to accomplish this, but I wish it would not be necessary to do so. If anyone knows how, please share. Successfully upgraded to PS 1.5.2.0 from 1.5.1.0 using 1-click upgrade module on my live site. However, when I downloaded the whole site folder to my local computer and imported the new DB from my live site to my localhost mysql, I am having issue with broken link when I typed in: localhost/mystore/ That link dynamically change to myurl/mylivestore/en/page-not-found. I then edited my localhost DB and changed the variables domain and domain_ssl in table ps_shop_url. And it is now linking me to localhost/mystore/en/ but giving me 404 error page-not-found. What am I doing wrong? Is there something I still need to change to get my localhost site working again? Thank you for your generous help!

Buenas, Tengo instalado prestashop en el servidor y la tienda está funcionando bien, pero de un tiempo a esta parte me está dando un error al querer añadir idiomas o intentando subir ficheros a ciertas carpetas por FTP... no sé si es por los permisos o porqué puede ser ... pero no consigo solucionarlo. Si intento añadir un nuevo idioma, en el backoffice me da error, intento importar el xxx.gzip y me salta el mensaje "el archivo no puede extraerse" ... si lo intento subir a la carpeta LANG me dice desde el FTP que no tengo los permisos para cambiar las propiedades de los archivos !!! (cuando siempre lo he hecho desde FTP filezilla y soy el administrador !!!!! ) ... lo he intentado desde el gestor de ficheros del propio administrador del servidor y tampoco ... y no entiendo porqué !!!! ... no me deja modificar las propiedades de archivos ni nada ... No sé ... me está haciendo cosas raras ... bueno mejor dicho ... no sé lo que estoy haciendo mal ! ¿Alguna idea de qué puede ser ? he estado leyendo por el foro ... no creo que sean temas de caches etc.... ¿no? Bonjour, J'ai modifié certains "label" du fichier fr.php de mon dossier "lang" de mon thème mais malgré tout les modifications ne sont pas visible. Je suis en mode "Forcer la compilation" et cache "desactivé". Quelqu'un aurait une idée de la raison ? Merci !

Hi I want to know what language to send customers a newsletter in, and as such am looking for the link between id_customer and id_lang but can't find it anywhere in SQL! There is a link for customers that have placed an order (in ps_orders table), but what about customers that have just registered without ordering? It must be saved somewhere because if I were to send an automatic email to them it would be sent in the correct language. Thanks in advance
