I want to enable guest checkout by default, after enabling one page checkout in PS 1.6 People mention this in a lot of threads but most of them quite old so I'm starting a new one. Default Bootstrap Theme in Prestashop 1.61 and Community theme both display a shopping cart with the ordered items and then something like < CONTINUE SHOPPING 1. Account NEW CUSTOMER Instant checkout Guest Checkout. I discover that the guest checkout form which I want displayed is there already and can be displayed, if I right-click on the "guest checkout" button in some browser like Chrome and try to understand and tinker with the stylesheet information. it is hidden. I can change it on that very screen if I can remember how, but if I use a module like https://www.prestashop.com/forums/topic/303224-module-css-editor/ to try to alter the .css code, I fail. I am most used to using Chrome's CSS inspector and Community Theme but have had a look in Default Boostrap Theme as well. Whatever the theme, I can't work out how to make the guest checkout form visible without my .css instructions being over-ridden by something I don't understand. I hope this question is useful to people and that I can re-phrase it, if it doesn't make sense. The question is: how to I enable Guest Checkout by altering style sheets? I want it as a default option that appears on the screen without the customer having to click on anything. If I can do this, I am sure that I can use the same techniques to remove any confusing buttons and instructions with the same technique. So, if I could make the guest checkout form visible by default, I would be happy. cheers John V

Hello, I have one question. I'm using Prestashop version 1.7.3. and i want only Guest checkout without registartion. I want to remove registation completly from the site. Can somebody help me with this? It would help to the whole community who are looking for this. There are some solution on forum, but only for old Prestashop version. Thank you verry much.

Heya! I'm using a guest checkout for PS 1.5 and got a couple of questions. If someone uses the guest checkout, how do I turn the guest account into a customer account when they make create an order? I want to send out an e-mail with a generated password. I'd like the feature because I'd like to rename guest checkout to instant checkout and I don't like to have so many fields for the customer to fill in. I want the function "Turn this guest account into customer" (which is available in the backoffice -> orders) to be executed when someone uses the guest checkout. Is there any function I can add to a controller or something? Thanks in advance.

Searched w/o success. I use guest checkout and today realized after customer complaints that he is not able to place an order via OPC that many customers obviously forget/oversee/do not realize that they have to save their guest account address in order to proceed. The save button is too small or not placed prominently enough. Well, I could have that changed somehow. But i wonder why guests have to manually save their address. I mean I understand in general that this is needed to process the order but isn't it possible that his address is somehow saved automatically once he leaves the input fields? So no active saving is required by the customer? Thanks Phil- 2 replies

Hello, I have a prestashop in version 1.6.0.14, a flower eshop. So the users usually have different shipping and billing address. When an order is made by a registered user there is no problem. However when i have an order from a guest user the system thinks that the customer is the recepient of the order not the sender. The email sent to the user is send correctly to the sender but the lastname used in the temaplate is the receipent's lastname. Also at the backoffice in the list of Orders tha Customer name is the recepient name and not the sender that made the order. This can be confusing, is there an easy solution? Kind Regards

Hi I have guest checkout enabled, but I think all those button are confusing to customers. Does anybody know how to remove everything below paypal button? Here is a screenshot. All I want is a checkout page that looks like the screenshot. Nothing else. I know it is somewhere in css, just don't know what to delete. Any ideas apart from buying another module?

Hi, On guest checkout the bank wire and cheque payments only show up, can anyone tell me how I can get paypal and credits card payments to show as well. This is happening on different prestashops Thankyou in advance.

Prestashop version 1.6.0.14 I've been having lots of problems with Guest Checkout, and eventually sorted the problem by changing some code which has now included the Home number field as well as Mobile Number fields? Problems I now have is that the two fields do not show an Asterisk indicating mandatory fields which is creating problems for customers. The original problem was that guest checkout did not work because it wanted a mobile number entering in the field, but even adding this the screen crashed and checkout did not work. I'm seriously thinking about changing my e-commerce shop! I never seem able to get the support, so please someone prove me wrong! The website is www.annashappytrotters.com -
Bonjour à tous, J'ai une question ergonomie qui me tarrode de puis ce matin... comment changer l'ordre des champs dans le formulaire d'inscription (ou surtout de commande invité) Je m'explique... Le formulaire affiche avec un foreach les champs Pays / Téléphone / State Ok... mais du coup on se retrouve a avoir le téléphone au milieu de ces 2 champs ce qui est pas pratique. En bougeant le HTML/Smarty dans authentification.tpl rien ne change... ca doit être généré autrement Une idée ? Merci pour vos réponses

Hello, I am having problems with guest checkout and a payment module (sofortbanking). If I try to checkout as guest the module says that the token is invalid. I already contact the module developers and they told me that it is a prestashop problem and a token should be generated for guest users as well. Hi I'm searching for a solution that can give me the following result. On http://smokeit.erpbasen.dk we have enabled the guest checkout, but we want to simplify the process with only some of the fields that the customer should fill out. As it is now, it looks like this, and as you can see, there's a lot of fields that the customer can fill out. The only fields we want to be avalible when buying as guest, is the following: - Name - Address - Zipcode - City - Phone - Email - Checkbox for newsletter Can anyone help me where to customize this?

PrestaShop 1.6.1.7 - 1.6.1.9: Seems there is another bug in the voucher system. I created a voucher code. It is available for 100 customers. Each customer can use the code 1 time. It works with registered customers, but guest customers with the same mailadress can use the code unlimited (until the 100 is at 0). I can remember that PrestaShop checked in the past if the code was already used by this mailadress, right? Created a forge ticket: PSCSX-8689

Hi all, My guest checkout has suddenly become unusable. When completing the form there is an error saying that a phone number is required. The only field available to fill is Mobile Phone. Even if there is a number in mobile phone it throws the same error, "Phone number required". Phone Number is Mandatory is turned to off in the BO. It also shows Null in the DB. I've replaced authentication.tpl, address.tpl and addresses.tpl with fresh pages with no results. I found the following closed thread: https://www.prestashop.com/forums/topic/322195-guess-checkout-mobile-phone-field-required-get-error-phone-is-required/ Please, does anyone have an idea on what could be going on here!? On a side note, I also have a zip code error, although it doesn't affect the sign up. It just shows red when entered. I also removed any zip code validation from Localization > Countries. Hi All Just noticed this issue. If a customer uses guest checkout there is a non-obligatory field for "Company" However, if the customer populates that field, another field drops down with "VAT Number" We are in Australia and don't have VAT numbers and I'd like to remove this non-feature. I can't find any way to disable it and would be grateful for any input. Thanks deepee -
with Guest checkout, on the One-Page-Checkout, when you select a state and then click on the "Please use another address for invoice" checkbox, the state resets to "-". All other Delivery Address information stays but the state resets. How can I fix this? thanks. -
Guest checkout shouldn't create "An Account". We have returning customers who try to use guest checkout more than once and are told "An account with this email already exists." Since the point of checking out as guest is to avoid account creation. -
Hi everyone, after upgrading to 1.4.9.0. I have received multiple emails from customers who already had placed a guest checkout order in the past, and now wanted to create a registered account, and couldn't because PS tells gives them a "email already exists" error message. Is this a bug, or is this on purpose? Because these customers can place multiple orders with the same email if they checkout as guest, but as soon as they want to register, denied because the email is already on file. I'm just wondering if that's how this is supposed to work or not? Thanks for your input! Dan -
I need to add two fields: one a simple text field (wedding date) and one a drop down selection box (how did you find us?) to the checkout/registration. This needs to be on the guest checkout page as well. it is really important that these two fields are included and emailed to the administrator along with the order. How would I go about this? This is with the latest version of PS -
My shop is based in the UK and I have set that as the default country, but if the customer is using guest checkout, the the country defaults to the US. I want to keep the US enabled as a country but not as the default one. I am using version 1.5.6 and the current address of the shop is http://217.199.187.57/presta-naturalgems.co.uk/

Nous avons récemment eu une commande dont le paiement a échoué et le code d'erreur PayPal mentionnait qu'il manquait l'état dans l'adresse: 18ZL_ERRORCODE0 -> 10729L_SHORTMESSAGE0 -> Shipping Address State EmptyL_LONGMESSAGE0 -> The field Shipping Address State is requiredL_SEVERITYCODE0 -> Error Premièrement, nous avons testé la création de compte sans y renseigner l'état, et la validation n'a pas passé, parfait! Deuxièmement, nous avons testé la création de compte avec adresse complète pour ensuite tenter de la modifier pour y enlever l'état, et la validation n'a pas passé non plus, parfait! Finalement, nous avons réalisé qu'il y a aussi un formulaire de création de compte sur la One Page Checkout que nous utilisons, nous avons donc testé la création de compte via ce formulaire, et la validation passe même si on ne renseigne pas le champ de l'état. Ceci est sur une version 1.5.4.0, nous avons donc testé le même processus sur une installation neuve de la version 1.5.4.1 avec produits démo et nous avons obtenu le même résultat. Est-ce que quelqu'un avec une boutique utilisant OPC pourrait confirmer le bug svp? Merci! -
Guest checkout is hanging on a clean install of 1.4.7. I noticed this on a site I was setting up and switched from 1-page checkout to regular 5-page guest checkout. I did a fresh install and reproduced the steps using the following steps: 1. Verify that regular guest checkout works by adding an ipod to the cart and checking out by creating an account. 2. Enabled guest checkout, disabled recycled paper and gift wrap. 3. Cleared cookies and added an ipod to the cart 4. Filled out information on first page and clicked 'next'. 5. The system hung at the following URL and page: http://www.organizeitmom.com/order.php?step=2 (this is an internal test site that won't work at the moment). The page isn't redirecting properly Firefox has detected that the server is redirecting the request for this address in a way that will never complete. I set everything back to default and verified that regular login allowed regular 5-step checkout, then just enabled guest checkout and got the same results. I also verified that it didn't work in IE9. I also tested with and without SSL and enabled. I am not seeing any errors in the apache error log. Any thoughts on this? -
Hi all, Currently if I'm using the guest account to checkout, it will remember all of my created address. For example, if another one comes to my computer and continue using guest checkout, he will see all my previous address, it is not good. So is there any way to clear all guest address after finished checkout, or after closed the browser? Someone give me a help please ! Thanks- 1 reply

Dear community, Anyone know best way to get Prestashop one page checkout into guest checkout without javascript? We run PS 1.4.8 and have simplified checkout to improve conversion rate: One page checkout (Configuration in Prestashop BO) Allow guest checkout (Configuration in Prestashop BO) Finally we have followed the instruction "How to use only guest checkout" and removed unnecessary form fields So in summary, until now we have had a CRO optimised checkout. However Prestashop depends on javascript and recently a greater part of the traffic have JavaScript disabled due to mobile devices etc. Unfortunately, without javascript Prestashop jump to account registration instead of guest checkout by default. Anyone know best way to get Prestashop one page checkout into guest checkout without javascript? Grateful for all feedback.

Hello, Is it possible to checkout as a guest in mobile version? I am using the default mobile theme in Prestashop 1.5.6 and does not allow to finish the checkout as a guest, you must register first or log in. The problem is that after registering or login in, redirects you outside the checkout process, straight to "your account", instead of continuing the shopping process, which could lead to loose a customer. Also, I have previously purchased the module "OnePageCheckOut" and I am using it successfully on the desktop version, why this module is not working on the mobile? I would appreciatte any solution Regards
