  1. Hi all, I got a lot of errors "eval()'d code on line 196" in smarty, on my website. Any idea? I'm searching in a lot of topics without finding the solution. My Presta is 1.6. [Sat Nov 25 13:41:11.225949 2017] [:error] [pid 9015:tid 139865215665920] [client 217.182.132.22:46452] FastCGI: server "/home/clients/0e92a284cc2f72d4c65f0ef91cf33c87/.config/apache/malumiereled.be/.fpm/php5.external" stderr: PHP message: PHP Notice: Trying to get property of non-object in /home/clients/0e92a284cc2f72d4c65f0ef91cf33c87/web/tools/smarty/sysplugins/smarty_internal_templatebase.php(157) : eval()'d code on line 196 [Sat Nov 25 13:41:11.225942 2017] [:error] [pid 9015:tid 139865215665920] [client 217.182.132.22:46452] FastCGI: server "/home/clients/0e92a284cc2f72d4c65f0ef91cf33c87/.config/apache/malumiereled.be/.fpm/php5.external" stderr: PHP message: PHP Notice: Trying to get property of non-object in /home/clients/0e92a284cc2f72d4c65f0ef91cf33c87/web/tools/smarty/sysplugins/smarty_internal_templatebase.php(157) : eval()'d code on line 193 [Sat Nov 25 13:41:11.225892 2017] [:error] [pid 9015:tid 139865215665920] [client 217.182.132.22:46452] FastCGI: server "/home/clients/0e92a284cc2f72d4c65f0ef91cf33c87/.config/apache/malumiereled.be/.fpm/php5.external" stderr: PHP message: PHP Notice: Trying to get property of non-object in /home/clients/0e92a284cc2f72d4c65f0ef91cf33c87/web/tools/smarty/sysplugins/smarty_internal_templatebase.php(157) : eval()'d code on line 189 [Sat Nov 25 13:32:20.859220 2017] [:error] [pid 9015:tid 139865266022144] [client 66.249.76.127:59501] FastCGI: server "/home/clients/0e92a284cc2f72d4c65f0ef91cf33c87/.config/apache/malumiereled.be/.fpm/php5.external" stderr: PHP message: PHP Notice: Trying to get property of non-object in /home/clients/0e92a284cc2f72d4c65f0ef91cf33c87/web/tools/smarty/sysplugins/smarty_internal_templatebase.php(157) : eval()'d code on line 196 [Sat Nov 25 13:32:20.859212 2017] [:error] [pid 9015:tid 139865266022144] [client 66.249.76.127:59501] FastCGI: server "/home/clients/0e92a284cc2f72d4c65f0ef91cf33c87/.config/apache/malumiereled.be/.fpm/php5.external" stderr: PHP message: PHP Notice: Trying to get property of non-object in /home/clients/0e92a284cc2f72d4c65f0ef91cf33c87/web/tools/smarty/sysplugins/smarty_internal_templatebase.php(157) : eval()'d code on line 193
  2. dear PrestaShopper's, i am writing this post because i'm looking for about 5 hours for a solution to my problem. The problem: The following problem appears on our shop (Version 1.6.09 - up to date, running since approx. 4 weeks now) and i absolutely have no idea to fix this: Always when i call our shop frontend or backend (makes no difference) i get an Internal Server Error 500. This error disappears after page reload or deleting cache in browser (there is no difference in different browsers - exact same situation). After disappearing i can browse on page normally. When idling, after some time the error reappars when clicking a link on our frontend or backend oder refreshing current page. The time interval i could not detect until yet (i think it is around 5 minutes). There is shown a blank error message: When did i first recognize something is going wrong: I did not change anything in shop configuration. The error just appeared the first time while i was editing a product's details and adding some images. Now the error is like a bad ghost How i tried to resolve: It's not the error message which should be displayed by PrestaShop itself - it's the blank one generated by server (Apache or something). The following this i did: enabled the flag define('_PS_MODE_DEV_', true in config/defines.inc.php deleted the .htaccess and generated a new one's default file by prestashop which should be an exact and correct working file. checked .htaccess permission to are set as 640. I already tried 777 and 755. enabled and disabled userfriendly URL rewrite in SEO/URL configuration deactivated CDN-Servers deactivated cachefs of prestashop let the user cache data with browser instead (when using cachefs the Server Error did not went ago by refreshing the page - i logically had to delete the cachefs folder via FTP in prestashop directory) disabled/enabled CCC changed the PHP Version on our host from 5.3 to 5.5 and to 5.6 with and without PHP Boost. No changes each version.. changed php.ini parameters to different things. There was no difference when changing any line belonging to error handling/displaying. My files actually looks like: #php.ini ############ memory_limit=128M max_input_vars=6000; display_errors=1; display_startup_errors=1; log_errors=1; log_errors_max_len=1024; ignore_repeated_errors=0; ignore_repeated_source=0; report_memleaks=1; track_errors=1; html_errors=1; xmlrpc_errors=1; Deleting the php.ini does nothing change. As you know this file is not needed at all by PrestaShop I tried many different combinations without any visible success. This error is horrible. The error log of our hosting server gives different entries. The line which continueously appears is: 02.10.2014 16:22:44 stoutwind.de [client 77.64.52.0] FastCGI: "/home/strato/http/fastcgi/rid/08/99/53970899/htdocs/prestashop/admin1668/index.php" aborted: incomplete headers (0 bytes) received from server after 6 sec, referer: there are also two other messages which repeat sometimes: 28.09.2014 21:10:16 stoutwind.de [client 77.64.52.0] Premature end of script headers: index.php 02.10.2014 14:14:06 stoutwind.de [client 77.64.52.0] Request exceeded the limit of 4 internal redirects due to probable configuration error. Use 'LimitInternalRecursion' to increase the limit if necessary. Use 'LogLevel debug' to get abacktrace. Googling for those error messages gave me no results matching the discribed issue that the problem disappears by refreshing the page. Could it be have something to do with SSL connection? I really think there is no problem with .htaccess or php.ini. I guess it has to do with PHP in general, a PrestaShop plugin/update, a configuration setting or SSL. If anyone has an idea please tell me. I don't know how to look up for this special case. You are my last hope Best wishes, Mario Voigt
  3. Tried the tuturorial for the WebService API and whilst the XML is accessable via the browser, I am unable to get a basic script to work. I see a lot of people are having this issue and I scoured the forums and webs for solutions, but none of them seemed to work. I may be wrong, but I believe the issue could be with HostGator using FastCGI instead of mod_php. Here's the error I'm getting: "Other error: This call to PrestaShop Web Services failed and returned an HTTP status of 404. That means: Not Found." I attempted the solution here: http://forge.prestashop.com/browse/PSCFV-7266 I added the line to my .htaccess file and also addedthe code to the dispatcher.php script but this did not seem to do anything, the error is the same. I've tried regenerating the .htaccess file numerous times, turning on/off webservices, 'Enable CGI mode for PHP' is turned ON, mod_rewrite ON, nothing seems to change the behavior. HostGator VPS CGI/FastCGI PS v1.6.0.9
  4. I'm trying to squeeze out a little more speed of my PrestaShop site. I have tried running Apache2 with fastcgi/php-fpm instead of mod-php, and I have tried installing and enabling APC. Using _PS_DEBUG_PROFILING_, I cannot see any substantial increase of performance, which surprises me. I have verified with phpinfo() that it is in fact running with the expected modules. Have anyone noticed any improvement of performance tweaking this setup/parameters?
  5. Hello, I tried to upgrade my prestashop shop from 1.5.4.1 to 1.5.5.0. Like for many people, everything went wrong and was fucked up (internet server error 500), crashing everywhere with a nice "FastCGI: failed to read from backend server". But before doing this disaster, I saved my BDD and all the file on the server. At this time everything was working perfectly. Problem : I have put back the saved file, removed all table from database, then import the saved database (no problem). I emptied varnia cache from web server. But now I keep getting these fastcgi crash problems ! >.< Some pages work (back office login), then after loging in, boom crash. So the new versions is broken and the old version is also broken but when I saved it everything was working perfectly ! There, I need big help. Thanks you. --------------- [Tue Sep 03 08:13:01.461763 2013] [:error] [pid 28939:tid 3549601367808] (104)Connection reset by peer: [client 2.84.29.123:10150] FastCGI: failed to read from backend server [Tue Sep 03 08:13:04.019693 2013] [:error] [pid 28939:tid 3549618153216] (104)Connection reset by peer: [client 2.84.29.123:11140] FastCGI: failed to read from backend server
  6. Hi I am going to mark this as solved as this is information designed to help anyone running a shop on Windows Server 2008 using IIS 7 If you try to upgrade from version 1.4.x to 1.5.x using the update.php command you may find that you receive a time out, and the upgrade fails “FastCGI process exceeded configured activity timeout in IIS 7”. To overcome this you can run the following scripts in a command window. To check the current settings use: - %windir%\system32\inetsrv\appcmd list config -section:system.webServer/fastCgi To add the activity timeout (assuming CGI location is C:\php\php-cgi.exe): - %windir%\system32\inetsrv\appcmd set config -section:system.webServer/fastCgi /[fullPath=C:\php\php-cgi.exe].activityTimeout:600 Using this I was able to upgrade my shop with only the Paypal error, however I will do more testing before I try to upgrade my live site. Hope this helps someone. Geoff I forgot to say that this also stops time outs when re indexing your search module
