I also tried if($cookie->id_customer->isMemberOfGroup(1)) Rather than just id_customer Not sure which is the right way as both still give that same error

I've come up with a solution as shown in the code below but I'm getting an error. I'm receiving the error on voucher generation "Fatal error: Call to a member function isMemberOfGroup() on a non-object in /home/eposgea2/public_html/modules/loyalty/loyalty-program.php on line 60" Which suggests to me I need to add the IsMemberOfGroup function to the loyalty-points.php file but I'm not sure how to do that. Could anyone explain how I'd do this? The tabbed in code is the part I added. /* Voucher creation and affectation to the customer */ $voucher = new Discount(); $voucher->name = $voucherCode; $voucher->id_discount_type = 2; // Discount on order (amount) $voucher->id_customer = (int)($cookie->id_customer); $voucher->id_currency = (int)($cookie->id_currency); if ($id_customer->isMemberOfGroup(1)) { $voucher->value = LoyaltyModule::getVoucherValue((int)$customerPoints); }; if ($id_customer->isMemberOfGroup(2)) { $voucher->value = LoyaltyModule::getVoucherValue((int)$customerPoints * 2); }; $voucher->quantity = 1; $voucher->quantity_per_user = 1; $voucher->cumulable = 1; $voucher->cumulable_reduction = 1;

Basically we want membership levels. Bronze (No requirement) Receive 2p per £1 spent in reward points Silver (Spend atleast £100) Receive 3p per £1 spent in reward points Gold (Spend atleast £250) Receive 4p per £1 spent in reward points Platinum (Spend atleast £500) Receive 5p per £1 spent in reward points So once a customer spends the amount shown above they will be moved into a different customer group which gives them more reward points.

The last 3 orders we've received have received the following warning from the official Prestashop security module: 'IP address associated to another e-mail address recently'. No other orders ever have or are displaying this error so it seems odd that we'd receive 3 in a row. Are you aware of any problems with this module? No changes have been made to our site which could cause this error. Thanks

Is it possible to have different amounts of loyalty points for each customer group? The easiest solution I see would be to add a small piece of code to the function that caclulates the total points which states if group = x then multiply points by y but I'm not entirely sure how to go about this. Any help you can provide would be great. Thanks

It appears to be referencing this code in the header.tpl but it doesn't seem to me that this would be causing the product page issue or that theres even anything wrong with this code. <body {if $page_name}id="{$page_name|escape:'htmlall':'UTF-8'}"{/if}> {if "MSIE 6"|eregi:$smarty.server.HTTP_USER_AGENT or "Internet Explorer"|eregi:$smarty.server.HTTP_USER_AGENT}{include file=$tpl_dir./ie6.tpl}{/if} {if !$content_only} <noscript><ul><li>{l s='This shop requires JavaScript to run correctly. These are the only errors in the log although I'm struggling to see if any of these relate to my issue or even whats causing them at all. I'm having difficulties with a custom template. On the product page anything that uses a javascript file is failing to load. There does seem to be a number of .js files in the source code but it may not be all of them. Its also confined to the product page as there are items within the product page not working which do work on all other pages. Can anyone advice me where I should be looking to fix this. I know its related to the template as the standard Prestashop template is fine. Any help at all you can provide would be great. Thanks.

Thanks guys, I think I prefer RollMonster too but they're designed to appeal to two different markets. Anyone got any improvements that can be made to RollMonster?
-
As of today we've now officially launched our newest site RollMonster. Would quite like to hear your opinions on the site and any improvements you think should be made. If you find any bugs please let me know. Also I'd be interested to hear which of our two sites you prefer RollMonster or EPOSGEAR. Thanks -Matt

That #4 does look nice. Might look at getting that when I've got some spare time to set it up. -

I'll see if I can adjust the colours / move the images around on the right side later today. For the zoom in feature go to your admin panel then preferences > products > then select yes on 'Enable JqZoom instead of Thickbox on product page'. Thanks for your feedback. -

Well we already have Canonical URL but for a completely different reason, our SSL would only work if you hadn't included the www. I wasn't aware however that it would have an effect on rankings so I'll look into it further and check its all working correctly. Featured products we've tried to avoid mainly because we're selling so little we have no idea what to promote and promoting items that aren't gonna sell will only make our homepage look even more complicated. I can have a word with my boss about a week trial promoting a few certain products we think may sell but I can't see featured products being much of a help. Thanks for helping. -

Ah yea I see what you meant with the review banner now, I've just finished work though so I'll try your method when I'm back in tomorrow. With regard to the september offer I'm not sure how much trade it actually bring in. It wasn't placed there as an incentive to order but rather proof we're still an active company by having a constantly changing offer each month but it doesn't seem to have done too much. So I'm still trying to decide whether to just get rid of it completely. -

Done what you suggested with the review banner. I'm also now considering a similar change for the September offer banner, what do you think? -

Thats exactly how I see it. I'm gonna try find old PCs around the office and check it on there now. I'm also considering making the review banner smaller and putting it in the sidebar above the review button, the only downside is the sidebars are already quite long. It would at least bring the products a little higher. Edit: Another change I just thought about and would be interested to hear your thoughts on this... Basically I would split the products on the homepage into two, the top half would go at the very top of the page and would include the half that are most likely to sell then below them have the delivery & offers banners then finally the other half of products below them. The idea to me sounds good in theory but it could make it seem a little more confusing to customers. -

I've now added a small delivery banner to the homepage, would you say the products are still visible enough? And I'll be sure to let you know the impact on our conversion rate. -

Glad you like the improvements to the homepage. Hopefully it should be a lot easier for those who don't know what our site does. The Siteground ad has been a recent addition just because the site takes such little money that we needed to try cover some hosting costs but I do agree it was perhaps a little too in your face at the top. With regard to the difference between IE & Chrome I'm not sure what I can do to fix this. I will add however I actively switch between Firefox, IE & Chrome and 90% of websites I go to do load faster in Chrome so I don't think its that its overly optimised for Chrome and not other browsers but I do agree that the loading times are an issue. I'm not entirely sure what we can do to speed up our loading times, the quick find located in the header is the main issue, it contains a huge js file acting as a database but for the time being I don't have a fix for that. Thanks again for taking the time to help us. -

Hey Mike, With regard to there being too much information at the top of the page I've reorganised a little and would be interested to hear your opinion on how it is now? We don't really have any top products as we get so few orders and not usually focused on one product line but I'll look into our search engine data and check whether there are any products our customers are more likely looking for. The tabs we had to hide for a reason, when tested on low resolution monitors they covered the left sidebar which obviously is a big problem. We mainly added them just as another place for customers to locate those pages should they miss the other links. Thanks for you help. -
We've had our site up and running for about 3 years now (1 year with Prestashop) and our conversion rate is just way too low. On average we have about 32 orders a month which is good considering how low we were before switching to Prestashop (about 1-3 a month) but its still not enough. We get about 1500 hits a month so that is a pretty poor conversion rate. Has anyone got any suggestions on how we can improve our conversion rate or even how to improve our search engine optimisation as we're still ranked quite low on Google? Suggestions for other changes are welcome too but our main focus right now is improving the conversion rate. Although I'm not sure how many of you would be interested in our products we'd happily give out a few vouchers to people we think have been extremely helpful. You can find the site here: www.eposgear.eu Please be aware this is a live site so please refrain from placing any test orders.

Check the link in my signature. Something like the quick find on the header? I can look at turning it into a module later today or if you have some coding knowledge I can just publish the code, its quite a simple code to modify.

Combine Supplier & Manufacturer Modules
Matteh replied to Matteh's topic in Community Modules and Themes
Thanks for showing me that. I have a few questions I'll need to ask Tomer first regarding certain features & I'll update here as to whether I'll be using his or still looking into having a module developed. -
Combine Supplier & Manufacturer Modules
Matteh replied to Matteh's topic in Community Modules and Themes
I've attached an image of what it should look like. Its basically how the current manufacturer & supplier modules look just put into the same block. Just to add some more detail on how it should work. The manufacturers dropdown will populate first with a list of all manufacturers, once you select a manufacturer the suppliers dropdown will populate with a list of all suppliers which have a product that shares the selected manufacturer. Once both have been selected it needs to redirect to a standard layout product list page that features all products which match the selected supplier & manufacturer. Hope that makes it clearer. (: Also how long do you think it would take you to produce such a module? -
I have now posted a paid job offer for anyone wishing to develope this: http://www.prestashop.com/forums/viewthread/114434/job_offers_and_paid_services/combine_supplier___manufacturer_modules/
