  1. Vekia, yes, definitely I would be interested in that. How or what is the best way please? For PS 1.5 and 1.6 is there a checkbox or selection that allows not having the subcategories listed in the body page or it still involves editing some .tpl files, like categories.tpl? If editing involved, which please, and what to comment out or replace with what? UPDATE: I think I may have gotten the answer. Trying it and experimenting. If it works, I'll post info for the how-to here.
  2. Here is that phpMyAdmin page image of a portion of the ps_range_price table of prestashop, which I referenced in the above earlier post.
  3. BASE INFO: PS Version = 1.5.3.1. OS = Centos. Install method = Past installation using WHW1 cpanel prestashop instant install. If you want more info on the hosting provider, or the server resources, versions of PHP, perl, or other technical info, then please ask. To head off comments suggesting upgrade. Not interested in upgrading to 1.6. PROBLEM: After adding my own carriers and installing UPS and USPS, and then uninstalling UPS and USPS modules and deleting all the Price Ranges and Weight Ranges prior to uninstall, and even going into DB and removing what I could find for listing no longer existing carrier, and removing my carriers, then Prestashop still references older IDs once UPS or other carrier module are installed. I have attached an image of the Carrier list, and the Price Ranges page. As you can see the Price Ranges list shows IDs from 89 to 99. The Carrier list shows IDs from 103 to 113. It seems regardless me uninstalling the modules, somehow the last IDs used is retained somewhere and re-install of the UPS or other carrier module starts the carriers from the next high number, instead of recycling the old ID numbers, but this is not reflected properly on the Price and Weight range lists. Obviously, I have not been able to locate all the entries in the database for removal. I can live with PS not recycling the past carrier ID numbers IF PS used the same IDs in the Price Ranges and Weight Ranges. Meaning if the carrier IDs shown on the Price and Weight Ranges pages matched the IDs shown in the Carrier's list, then that would be fine, I think. QUESTIONS: How can I have the Shipping Price and Weight Ranges IDs listed match those listed in the Carrier list? How can I have PS start from scratch on the carrier ID numbers when a carrier module gets installed? What other database tables do I need to clear or look at, other than the following, "ps_carrier, ps_carrier_group, ps_carrier_lang, ps_carrier_shop, ps_carrier_tax_rules_group, ps_carrier_zone"? What database tables are used by the Prestashop back office Price Ranges page to determine the Carrier IDs when a carrier module like UPS carrier or USPS Carrier are installed? IMAGES ATTACHED Carrier list page. Price Ranges page. Weight Ranges page. ps_carrier listed via phpMyAdmin after all entries were first deleted and then a new carrier added and then UPS carrier module re-installed. UPDATE: I am getting the impression that the IDs shown on the Price Range and Weight Range pages are not Carrier IDs and so it is okay for them not to match. Please either confirm or correct me on this impression. However, I think something may still not be incorrect. I will attach the database table of ps_range_price. For example, the Price (ps_range_price) table entry for ID of 88 is mapped to Carrier ID of 84, which as you will see no longer exists in the carrier list page, and it also does not exist on the ps_carrier table either, as I had it deleted before. Any and all comments are welcome and appreciated.
  4. That is what I thought you meant. As I recall, there is a menu selection somewhere that allows you to check boxes of where you want modules to show and not show. Beyond just positioning. I will take a moment later and see if I can locate that, but you may find it sooner than I get a chance, knowing there is something like that.
  5. Darn. Okay. Thanks. It has to be the default, or is it better to do some other file or theme file so the change stays if an update is done? If PS software is updated, won't that replace the blockcms.tpl file and thus undo the change made?
  6. So, am I going to have to edit the blockcms.tpl or this can be done without direct editing a file? This comment is in reference to yours and others posts on the topic of "Change footer menus": http://www.prestashop.com/forums/topic/240741-solved-change-footer-menus/
  7. No CMS categories at all in the area indicated. Same questions as above. Any relation to the problem described? Does a new CMS category need to be created (such as Footer) with a followup of adding a new cms block configuation? It does not seem like adding a new CMS category would help to get the title of CMS block in footer area changed. The goal is to have the title of the CMS block shown in the Footer section be something else other than word Information. Again, note that the changed CMS Block title does reflect on the CMS Block shown on the Left bar/menu, but the one showing in the footer sticks to showing the default word of Information.
  8. More info. When going to "CMS Block configuration", and trying to Add New CMS block configuration, the CMS category selectable is only Home. Any relation to the problem described? Does a new CMS category need to be created (such as Footer) with a followup of adding a new cms block configuation?
  9. Intro: I have gotten back to an installation of PS that has been modified bit by bit, and maybe I forgot the answer to this, but I tried searching and modifing and I get impression I am going to have to modify a file. I prefer if it is done throgh the back end panel. Version of PS installed = 1.5.3.1 (not interested in upgrading/updating at this time). Hosting company = WHW1. Server OS = Centos (fairly recent, but I can find version if requested) Module = CMS Block v1.1 Location of Problem = Footer. Problem Summary = Cannot change CMS Block title from Information to something else, like Info. Hosting panel = cpanel. Theme = default PHP, Perl, DB, etc. info can be found and provided too if needed. The problem: Via the configuration interface for the CMS Block, I changed the Name Of Block from Information to Information. This is reflected on the Left Menu, but not in the Footer. I have deleted and transplanted the CMS Block in the Footer already, and no impact. Question: Can the Footer label for the CMS Block be changed via web interface (gui), or only can be done by changing content of a file somewhere? In other words, how to change the label of Information shown in the Footer?
