Pozdrav svima. P.S. Hvala @katicziv na linku

2019. year of changes! :)
Dolke replied to Dolke's topic in Upgrading PrestaShop from a previous version
Thank you for the suggestion. I will check the software! Any other general suggestions for the upgrade? -
Hi guys, I still remember 2013 when we started to work on our Prestashop website... since then noting really changed except we gain reputation, customers and grown to over 15000 products! Back then we stopped at 1.5.4.1 version and haven't updated. Since update from 1.5.4.1. to any 1.7.x version is more migration rather then upgrade Im aware that it i will be painful process or does it have to be? Unfortunately we done a lot of core changes and modified a lot of core PS files which is never a good idea. Back then we thought it will be the easiest way to adapt Prestashop for using on our market and it was, but now problem is that we need to overwrite these changes with an update and implement them differently. My first question would be is there a way (except builtin prestashop feature which I find not thrustworthy) to list all core files that have been modified and maybe even list these modifications? Thank you in advance

Hi guys, What is the best way to find out what products (their pages) are most viewed by visitors? Im not talking about most sold product, but statistic of product pages that has been visited most times. Also if I could view products on which visitors spent most time that would be great addon. Why I want this? I want to compare product visit number and time spent on the product page with sale. In that case I might be able to find out why some products that are visited and not bought for example. Maybe its the price, maybe becaouse its not available (out of stock or similara). Any thoughts on this are most welcome.

Invitation has been sent. I found one website that implements this "SEARCH LIKE" feature really good. Please check this out: So basically when you mistype keyword (and in our field of bussines this is very important) website would prompt the visitor that there is no search results based on his/hers query but there are results for some similar keyword or phrase. http://prntscr.com/fk3pp4 I hope printscreen is clear enough. If Prestashop wanted to do something similar that is great feature to have but its not working properly. Instead it confuses customers...

Well its hard to tell since each website has different data set but eMagicOne team did reproduce the issue on all versions. based on our data set and they are more then trustworty company and Prestashop platinum partner. I think they have their accounts here on the PS forums so I will invite them to join discussion.

Hi guys, Currently our website is running on 1.5.4.1 PS but the following search issue was recreated on all other versions of the software including 1.6 and latest 1.7. Here are the details: Our website is located at www.dekom.co.rs (no marketing intended) If you search the website and use "310120" you will get 10 search results. 310120 is actually SKU of one of our products and you will noticed that product with SKU is listed as last product after search is performed. You will also notice that other 9 products doesnt include 310120 string anywhere in their fields so its a complete mistery why they are in the list. With the help of eMagicOne team I have been able to get to this point: Our techs have reproduced the issue with the search result on all PrestaShop versions starting from 1.6.0 and till the last ones 1.7.1.x. The search result for that certain case was the same - 10 products found, as PrestaShop reindex uses LIKE condition in the SQL request to the database: SELECT id_word, word FROM ps_search_word WHERE word LIKE '310120%' Here is the result: https://www.screencast.com/t/nWCwzSO2 So it seems that this issue is related to how reindex table was made in the Prestashop but I dont know the criteria For me these other 9 products are errors as they dont contain searched string so these products confuses our customers. I dont know by what criteria Prestashop make some products similar to others by using LIKE SQL statemant. I repeat that this issue is present in all Prestashop versions. Any thoughts?

How to show last time saved on product details page?
Dolke replied to punyaixan's topic in Core developers
I know its old theme but as I need almost the same thing lets woke it up a bit What I need is basically the same but I need only date (not the time) to be displayed and {$product->date_upd} pulls up date + time info. Also, I would need some css styling in order to make it more stylish like this for example: http://prntscr.com/femhn9 -
I have decided to update our EasyApache from version 3 to version 4. Version 4 has this feature called multiPHP manager that is used to switch between php versions with an ease and you can adjust php version for each script you are running on the server. I will let you know if after this my PS works properly on php 5.6.30

Its time to migrate :)
Dolke replied to Dolke's topic in Upgrading PrestaShop from a previous version
Email has been sent. btw, Im saying migration even though its the same platform just different versions because much of the core code is also modified and any automated would probably fail Maybe Im getting this wrong... -
Hi guys, Dean here, in front of www.dekom.co.rs, a webstore selling spare parts for home appliances. Our website is currently running Prestashop version 1.5.4.1 and its live and generating results and its oriented to Serbian market so we sell mostly on our domestic market. Currently webiste is running on solid VPS. Long time has passed and we gatthered a lot of reasons why should we migrate to new Prestashop even though our website is working. Here are some of the reasons: 1. Much better mobile platform support. 2. More stable and faster then prevoius versions. 3. More secure. 4. Some bugs present in 1.5.x.x versions have been reported as no longer present in upper versions, like issues with native PS search module for example... 5. Need for a layout change and implementation of SSL as well as accepting online playments. (until now we only did pay on delivery). It seems tha support for online playments is easier and better 1.6 and 1.7 6. Overall better look and feel user and cusotmer experence. What are your thoughts? I have chosen word migrate before upgrade because I personally thing that migration is more suitable word when it comes to online software as process in most cases is not automated and human intervention is essential in order to keep everything working afterwards. My first concern would be what version of PS to migrate to? Should we use 1.6.stable or 1.7.stable version? I guess 1.7.stable have more sence but still I would like to ask the comunitly. Also I would like to invite Bellini and other developres here at forums to send me their offers of helping us do this migration process. I think Bellini have some questionnaire to be filled before making us a quotation and if so please send us the document via PM, thank you.

How do we make a complaint?
Dolke replied to Boss Themes's topic in Ecommerce x PrestaShop [ARCHIVE BOARD]
Just to add that I might had an idea... It might be that actual theme is in "double" archive meaning its ziped twice. Maybe you need to unzip the folder with the theme 2 times in order to extract all theme data prior of uploading it to the Prestashop. -

I agree with most said here but still not completly. If something is free like Prestashop is, it doesnt mean that basic functionalities which are not working or not working properly, this second is even worse if you ask me, should be left alone and no support is given towards fixing them. Creator of any open source or free software is obligated to fix issues which are general and not specific in order to provide fully functional software. If that is not fullfiled then that software is completly useless if you ask me. Of course, in this particual case, you should at least be more specific when presenting your problem here in this comunity. You first need to help us to understand the problem and see it in all its size and shape and then, we might, just might, be able to help you solve it. Just my 2 cents Dean -
Let me try to add some more thoughts on this topic as it rises a very interesting question. It can be a problem if prestashop doesnt support order quantity other then round number. Here is the example. In my store I sell electric cables. These cables comes in packages of 50 or 100 m and they are sold in my retail stores not in those bulks but we cut them to the lenght customer requires. We have a policy not to cut less then half metars but we cut 0,5 3,5, 10,5, 22,5 metars for example So we dont have prepacked products in those lenghts but we cut from bigger bulk packages and the resell further to end customers. This is the example when we need option to orders some specific products by decimal quantities. Usually one decimal place is enough. If we change type of the quantity field to accept decimal numbers (one decimal place) so make it double instead of integer for example can this affect some functions and calculations in Prestashop? We still use 1.5 version. Any thoughts? P.S. Making different prices related to how much cusotmer orders is something you can accomplish by using specific prices and rules and its native Prestashop feature. Please take a look: http://prntscr.com/dd6kg3

Product Availability status on product-list
Dolke replied to ALMAJ's topic in Ecommerce x PrestaShop [ARCHIVE BOARD]
I found several topics related to this same question, one of them being made by me, and there are no answers in any of them... ??? -
Hi guys, I was just wondering something today so you might help me with your thoughts... Im currently using Prestashop 1.5.4.1 version (default theme) for my store. Currently server is running PHP version 5.4.45. which I believe is the version that 1.5 uses and it is compatibile. As PHP 5.4 reached end of life (http://php.net/supported-versions.php) I was wondering how this affects prestashop, its stability and security as well as hosting providers? I was worn about this by my hosting provider but Im not sure what that means actually? I know that Prestashop 1.5 is not fully compatibile to work under 5.5 or 5.6 PHP, mostly it works but some things might not work properly, Im I right? Share your thoughts... Thank you

In addition when displaying value from the DB should be increased by 20%.
