Hi Tom, I hope I remember this correctly. You have to set a tax rule and apply it to the product. You can then decide if prices are shown inc. VAT or ex. VAT. I certainly know that it was to do with the Tax Rules. I have set up UK std rate of 20%, EU sales 20% and EU VAT Registered 0% and use these as appropriate. I've not found a way of showing some products ex VAT and others inc VAT without the customer having to sign in first. Hope that helps. Graham

Hello, Prestashop 1.5.4.1 Price calculation. I have entered a Pre-tax retail price on the product prices page and selected the Tax Rule as UK Standard Rate 20%, but the Retail Price with Tax is the same as the Pre-Tax price. Entering the price with Tax also shows the same in the Pre-Tax field. How to get the tax properly calculated? Thanks Graham

I'm still very much a beginner, but there does appear to be quite a few problems which can be solved by editing the database. I managed to get the store name to change correctly yesterday and today's task is to get the pre tax and after tax prices working. Hope you can sort it out. Graham

I managed to cure my problem by unchecking "Home" association in Catalog - Products - Associations. Home is checked by default and this was causing the problem. Although I correctly associated them into my categories, they were in Home by default. Don't know if that helps, but I hope so. Graham

Hello, Prestashop 1.5.4.1 I have some products in my shop which are sold to the public and so I want VAT to be included in the visible price, while others are sold to VAT registered traders, so I want the excluding VAT price to be shown. Question - Is it possible to have some products displayed with an including VAT price and others with an excluding VAT price. However when I try to set a pre tax retail price, or a retail price with tax, the two figures are the same. For example, if I set a pre tax retail of £10 and a VAT rate of 20%, the retail price is displayed as £10, so the VAT is not calculated. The displayed price just shows £10. Question - How can I get this VAT calculation to work? Thanks for your help Graham

First post, so please be gentle with me I'm building my website and entering products and assigning them to categories and sub categories. When I filter the product list according to category in the back end, it correctly shows me which products are in that category. In the front end, if I use the category selector on the left hand side of the page (www.brenigoutdoors.co.uk) it correctly shows me which products are in the category. All working according to plan. Underneath the product, it shows "Other Products in the Same Category" which it does correctly. However, If I click on one of these related products, it displays that product but the "Other Products in the Same Category" now shows all products in the database as being in the same category.
