Hi guys, Need your help. I am trying to setup a discount voucher for a Category of products. If a person purchases One item of a category, he will get the second item of the same category for half price. Eg. 1 x Large Yankee Candle at $10 1 x Large Yankee Candle at $5 I can do it with discount % 50% on "Cheapest Product" selected, but how do I apply this if a person buys more than 1 item. So they want to purchase 2 at regular price and 2 at discounted price 2 x Large Yankee Candle at $10 2 x Large Yankee Candle at $5 and not... 3 x Large Yankee Candle at $10 1 x Large Yankee Candle at $5 Hope that makes sense?

i get this error when I'm trying to import csv and especially images url x,y,z column. Why is this happening?

I have the same issue, but with File size limit, my file size limit in php.ini shows 250mb but i cant upload a file of 100mb??

Totally agree Kevin... I have a few different prestashop installations and always have the same issue "CSV Imports"!!! needless to say this causes me a lot of frustration having to find workarounds and customizations to correct the issues. For example, I have a shop that sells virtual products and had difficulty uploading the files because they were large.. Had finally sorted it in PS 1.4 but now since the PS 1.6 I can't upload the files anymore? Prestashop keeps saying it my server (if that was the case then how come it worked in previous prestashop installations?) My other shops I had to break the csv files into smaller sections (500 products per csv) so it wouldn't cause errors. Then all i had to do was have a csv with 3 columns (ID, Quantity, Active (0/1) to manage stock levels and to set the product as active or not. Now in PS 1.6 I have to include the Products Name* column as well? Ridiculous! Now I have to go and search for the products name in my database of 1000's of products just to update a csv file? this is demented... I don't understand how with every PS version there are always NEW bugs and issues that need to be sorted or figured out. Surely they should be improving code, not making it less and less functional? I'm not a coder, I'm a retailer. so I can't keep struggling just to make a shopping site work instead of focussing on selling my items. Unfortunately I already have a few shopping sites on Prestashop and can't change this now, heaven forbid I don't have time to try and figure out a new shopping platform. I really wish the prestashop developers can test their stuff before releasing it (and of course... MAKE IT EASIER TO DO AND WORK!)

I used to have 3 columns in my csv file to import the Product ID, Quantity and Active (0/1) and it worked perfectly and easily to update and manage stock. Now in Prestashop 1.6.0.6 you have to add Name* column of the products?? Why oh why are there always new issues creeping up when a new release is made???? Why do I now HAVE to include the products NAME to upload it? Why can't I just use the products ID instead????????

Once I have selected the file, and after the file uploads to prestashop, it doesn't seem to save it to the product. when it has finished uploading and i save the product, when i go back to edit or view the product, there is no file allocated to the product. Also when trying to purchase this product, there is no downloadable file. Can you please help with this.

where do you find the css code for the green "in stock","add to cart","checkout" buttons and hover states, and how do I change it in the global.css file?

Hi, I also have had difficulty with this block. I tried adding a twitter timeline also but no luck. I also tried to embed a video in this block but also no luck with youtube embed codes <iframe>. Furthermore, i tried uploading a mp4 video by using the file manager to upload it and select it but after the upload, it doesn't show the video in the file manager list. Any ideas?

Hi, I have a problem with the LeoSports top Menu on my site www.optisport.ie even after I have configured the module Main Top Menu (blockleotopmenu) its not displaying the categories as selected. my selection is: home Shoes Braces & Supports Athletic Products Supplements Fitness but instead on website my top menu it is displaying home shoes Braces & supports Athletic Products weight loss (which is subcategory of fitness) strength & conditioning (which is subcategory of fitness) I have tried to reset, disable/enable module etc but its still not working. if i manually type in the url of my subcategory eg www.optisport.ie/81-fitness it then shows the correct top menu as I have selected in blockleotopmenu. Does this mean there is a coding error in the module and how do i fix this? thank you

my voucher code isn't showing even after trying all the mods and code editing referred to in this topic. www.especiallyforyou.ie is the url. any help will be appreciated as I have been struggling for a few days to get this sorted but with no luck.

hi guys, I have done all of the mods mentioned but none work for me, PS 1.5.3.1 and Paypal 3.6.1, even tried deleting the code and changing the voucher code id in the shopping cart.tpl. I have the Alysum theme, google chrome and shopping_cart.tpl and shopping_cart2.tpl. Honestly, I'm just lost as to what to do or where to look... I just don't understand how with updates there are always issues?

HI there, How can I add more product tabs and define what the tabs description is? Instead of "Product Customization" I want to add a "Personalise your Gift" and "Product Video" tabs to the product pages. How do I do this?

More than 10x Category A will still be $1.50 flat rate If more that 4 of B or more than 2 of C are ordered ( or a combination of 4B and 2C) are ordered we will charge a flat rate of $10 shipping irrespective of the size then of the order (or multiples of orders). I hope that makes sense? it's just important that I can allocate $1.50 for any amount in category A. $6.50 for up to the value of 4x Category B and 2x Category C any order above those values will then be $10 to ship Thanks again for your help

Hi Pascal, I have a similar problem to that... I sell Greeting Cards (lets say Category A) for $4.95 and candles (lets say Category of say $8 but also other items (Category C) that don't weigh as much as candles but are bigger in size. My problem thus is.... I can ship 10 cards to a value of $50 for only $1.50 but 1-4 candles would cost me $6.50 to ship. similarly to that some other products might be 1 or 2 items will cost only $6.50 to ship. How do i get prestashop to select $1.50 shipping fee for up to 10x category A Select 6.50 shipping for 4 x Category B Select 6.50 shipping for 2 x Category C is there any solution for this.

Hi guys, I have the same problem and have had the same issues ever since PS 1.3. It seems with every new PS version the same problem with importing csv crops up! this is ridiculous. I got it working before with PS 1.4 by changing the adminimportcontroller code from github but now the same thing is happening again with 1.5.4.1. I have changed the coding of adminimportcontroller with the github ones, i have changed the php.ini and uploaded it to my server as mentioned on the dh42 blog, I have spoken to Hostgator too but I keep getting the same issue with importing csv files. Hostgator recently migrated and upgraded their servers but they assured me this has nothing to do with it. I even tried to break it up into smaller sections but i keep getting an error that the server closed the connection without sending information No data received Unable to load the webpage because the server sent no data. Here are some suggestions: Reload this webpage later. Error 324 (net::ERR_EMPTY_RESPONSE): The server closed the connection without sending any data. or I get the bloody 404 page or the "shop is in maintenance" page!. My one csv file has 1400 rows, 3 columns, contains only text (no images etc) and is only 13Kb! so why the hell is this happening? Needless to say I am so bloody frustrated with this as I spend more time trying to "fix" my website as actually trying to run my shop and sell my products (which is what Prestashop was supposedly designed to do!) I am not a coder Prestashop, I am a retailer trying to sell my products, so please do what you guys are supposed to do and get the coding done so I can focus on what I want to do! For once I just want my shop to WORK without me having to spend days trying to figure out why it's broken.
