Any wild guess when PS 1.5 will be final?

Thank you both for the replies. I think I stick with PrestaTeam's reply. Among all the modules I use, one of the most important ones for me is Attribute Wizard Pro (paid) which doesn't work yet with 1.5 RC. I hope by the time i finish the work with other parts of my web-shop, the final 1.5 is out and these guys have worked out a compatible module too. Any wild guess when PS 1.5 will be final? Hello I need some help here from more experienced users/developers than myself: I am going to build a web-shop using Prestashop. As the presentation of the final Prestashop 1.5 is very close, I am not sure which solution to choose: Solution 1: I build the web-shop using Prestashop 1.4.8 and then upgrade it to 1.5 when it is final Solution 2: I build the web-shop using Prestashop 1.5 RC and then upgrade it to 1.5 when it is final Which solution is less painful, considering all the customizations I am going to do when building the web-shop? Will be grateful for any help/reply.

On point 1, by "all the files", you mean all the files only in the folder "www"? I am on ubuntu server

I host the server myself, and I am the admin too... I have access to the php.ini, but I couldn't find the max_input_vars in this file. I searched through this file using "nano" in my ubuntu server. Where is this value?

nobody seems to be willing to help...not even a prestashop support team member... yesterday I called prestashop in US at least ten times and at last they told me that I had to pay 399 US dollars before they even listen to me about the problem!!! Result: I guess I am going to change from prestashop to another platform, where you could find some kind of support. Pity for my time and energy over past 4 months on prestashop.

Hello I changed the database password in the admin page (in the Database tab), the website disappeared! This message shows: Link to database cannot be established. I even changed the password in the settings.inc.php to the one i changed to in the admin page, and loaded the file to the server, but still the same message appears... I've got panic now, the website is not showing... what is wrong?

any solution to this? this is very strange and catastrophic, actually, now I can't even add a product och change the values for a product!! is this a bug? I haven't changed anything in the database system, or any other change which could be related to this. HELP please

No, not at all, no changes at all... just once I activated a payment module and then I disabled it when I didn't need it anymore... which I think shouldn't affect the features' values.... quite strange, I can change and save all other tabs, for example the info tab, the pics tab, but only the features' values can't be saved when changed

Hello all I have bumped into a very strange problem: When I change the value of features for a product and then press the button "save the changes", the changes haven't been changed when I look at the feature value again! Hello all I need to start the order id from a specific and custom number. For example I don't want my first order start from 1, but from, say, 255344... I don't seem to find anywhere to do this. Hi all I have been working on my website and launched it already, but so far I have only worked and developed it online in real time. I know this is not the best way to work on Prestashop, so now I want to work on my website locally first and then upload the tested version to my online server. I have download all the files to my wampserver root, but when I type "localhost" it says that it is not connected to the database. My question is: how can I export/import my database to my localhost wampserver? so that I work on it locally first before uploading it? I appreciate any help

Solved... I had kept even the subfolder. I changed the settings mentioned in the above post even in the subfolder to redirect to root. Now it works as it should.

Hello I had my website on www.mywebsite.com/subdomain. After testing and finishing coding and customizing, I decided to go root... I uploaded everything up to root, changed settings.inc.php (PS base uri to /) and updated my .htaccess(generated from new admin page in root). But, nothing appears when I type www.mywebsite.com in a browser. I have even changed the SEO and URL --> PS directory to "/". What have I done wrong, or missed? I will appreciate any quick help. solved.... I just changed the domain name in preferences --> SEO and URLs from mywebsite.com to www.mywebsite.com Edwin

Hello I have an ubuntu server installed. I run my website using Prestashop on my ubuntu server. But surprisingly "www" is missing from my domain name. Even if you write the domain name including wwww in a web browser, when the website loads the www disappears and only "mywebsite.com" without wwww shows in the address bar. What can be the problem? I have searched the web a lot but have not found a solution. I appreciate any help. Regards Edwin
