thx to both of you and I used NemoPS solution and that did the trick. in my theme Default-bootstrap its at the end of line 72 between </span> and </h1> and I took out : {include file="$tpl_dir./category-count.tpl"}

Hi Can anybody help me on how to remove the category-count so each category does not show the number of products in a given category. Tried to delete the hole category-count.tpl file but then the shop dissapperes.

thx that worked. Was afraid that the products also would show up directly under the category which they dont.

Can anybody help? The problem is that I dont have any products in my categories but they are all in sub-categories and because of that if you click on a category it says there are "no products". as you can see on the photo it shows "no products". Is it possible to get the ps 1.6 to calculate all products from category and its sub-category into one.

Hi I am glad to hear that, but it does not change the facts. Large scripts in pages, broken links and redirects are ALWAYS bad for SEO.

I have been conducting a few tests on prestashop version 1.6 and they all end up in the same result. The SEO and Performance abbillities of this NEW Prestashop is beyond bad, It is probably the worst Amateur programming seen in a long time, from an SEO point of view. I have tested boyh working and Just-out-of-the-box versions and they all come up with Tons of violations. This is from new install 1. Large amount of script code ( 88 counts ) 2. Unnecessary redirects ( 80 counts ) 3. The page contains multiple canonical formats. ( 34 counts ) 4. The page was excluded by a noindex attribute. ( 10 counts ) 5. The page contains broken hyperlinks. ( 6 counts ) 6. The URL for the hyperlink is broken. ( 6 counts) In total there is 224 violations That is simply NOT good enough. The absolutely worst Amaturish mistake is to put soo much script on the actual page , instead of putting it in a seperate file The page at "http://newprestashop.com" contains a large (2779 characters) block of embedded script code. Search engines will ignore script code, but large quantities of script will force the actual text content of the page further down in the HTML. Since search engines may analyze only the first 100 KB of a page, it is possible that the script block may prevent search engines from indexing any page content. And the violation number actually EXPLODES on a shop which is working. You only have to put a few products in, add a few add-ons and so on. Then your Violation count can easily be above a 2000 count. And its mostly Script, Redirects, canonical formats and broken hyperlinks which are all essential to a good SEO performance No wonder shops are doing bad in Search Engines. And its a shame because I have stuck with prestashop for years now and I am in general very fond of the easy install and use.

I know but that gave me an idea to turn that off and then it worked. It goes to show that if someone is going to use "advanced stock management" it is very important to set a default warehouse, otherwise carriers dont work. This might help others with same problem about carriers not showing.

Thats ok since I just tried as you said but it changes nothing. Summa summarum: danish is gone from my Firefox and preferred language is set to English in PS, so for me its a real mystery hoHow it is possible to show my shop in danish.

I wish things were as simple as you say. After having cleared history and cookies several times there is absolutely no change, even if I remove danish from my Firefox and default language is set to english in PS. Now the shop ONLY shows Danish and as far as I can see, the only way to ghange that is to remove the danish language from PS, that is what it took to get rid of English. Besides that the currency dont follow language.

There is deffinitely some issues with the language7country detections, because no matter what I set as my default country, when I look at my shop it goes to this address - http://my-domain.com/en/? live_configurator_token=68f3708809b4ad0f48ea53d9928e0008&id_employee=1&id_shop=1 Why the shop keep me on the EN extention I have not been able to find out

I am also having issues with Multistore setup in 1.6 Having reinstalled several times and get the same problem: I have made a multistore with seperate stores for 3 languages, Danish, English and German. But when I try to see a store in English or German, firefox cannot load the page. Nothing shows up and in Danish I get "the store but with the message that the page cannot be found // followed the instructions Bill referred to but it does not work. Also when I disable the multistore option, the abillity to choose currency and language dissappear in the standard shop

Looks like it is a browser problem first and second for the database it could be an sql error(try deleting the database and make new one)

HI Maybe this will help: As I see it you should be able to point your domain - pleasurecandy.co.uk(redirect it) to the second store that you have set up with the multistore function, and then you can use different domains for all the stores you want.
