Hi, You need to move the newsletter block from the footer to the left menu of your site. You can do this by going into your Back-office, Modules-> positions , - here you will have to Transplant the Newsletter block module into the displayLeftColumn. This way the newsletter block will appear in the frontoffice in the left column, as the last block. As you described if you want it to be under the categories block, you need to go to the same page, modules->position, and here you will have to reorder in the displayLeftColumn part , so the newsletter block module to be under the block categories module. Optionally if you don't want to appear the newsletter block in the footer then you can unhook it from the Positions page from the displayFooter part the Newsletter Block module. Kind regards.

Add Extra Tabs For Categories Next To (New Arrivals / Popular)
Prestachamps replied to a topic in 1.6.1.x [Current]
Hi, Could you please share the url of your site, are you talking about the tabs on the homepage in the default theme? Thanks Kind regards -
Hello, Does this happen only for links in the header menu? That's what I can tell from the video so it's possible that the URL used in the menu is duplicated from the dutch version (shop/nl/category... ) therefore it will point to the page in dutch even if clicked from the English site. If you have "URL" selected under menu type, please make sure that the correct links are added for each language. If this is not the case, you can provide a link to the store and I can take a closer look.

Hi, As I see it in the screenshot you have it RTL. Check in Localization > Languages, at Italian language , if at the : " is RTL language " field is set on Yes. This could be the problem. Kind regards

Hi, If I got it right, your problem is that you have big slider that doesn't look good on mobiles, and you would like to use a separate one for the mobile version? How about disabling the slider module for mobile and using a banner for the mobile version to relay your message? ( you only need one slide) Kind regards

"Undefined" error on prestashop 1.5.6.2
Prestachamps replied to alexandra_b's topic in General topics
-You can try switching the Debug Mode on to get a more detailed error : 1: Connect to your server using a FTP client or using file-manager from cPanel 2: Go into ROOT/config folder and open the defines.inc.php file (from cpanel usualy in public_html , or www folder) 3: Modify the value of _PS_MODE_DEV_ from false to true , then Save the file. 4: While debug mode is enabled, try uploading the picture again, and check the error. 5: Once youメre done with all changes, switch _PS_MODE_DEV back to False so that itメs turned off in production mode. - Regarding incorrect file permissions, you can check if the permissions of your prestashop folders are correct from back-office Menu: Advanced Parameters -> Configuration Information , Here the folders that have incorrect file permissions will be reported in the "YOUR CONFIGURATION" box. Hi, How difficult do you estimate that an upgrade from 1.6 to 1.7 will be? Thanks.

Configuring different tax rules based on product type.
Prestachamps replied to mikepa's topic in Taxes, Translations & Laws
Hello, Te tax rule is selected for each product in the Price tab where you decide which tax rule applies. Are the products added manually or imported? In case of an import, if you're using the CSV import functionality you have the option of adding different tax rule IDs for each product. -
Hi, please send me your site's url in PM, and I will send you back the exact css code or the change you need to do in the product.tpl change in order for that box to not appear. Regards, Leo

SEO is a real problem for most of the people owning a Prestashop Store. We have been handling more than 1000 Prestashop websites since we started working in this platform and found out that here are lots of shops that don't apply basic SEO on-page optimization. There are basic elements that are not taken in consideration when a prestashop store is setup. Also poorly understood advice from years old seo forums is applied so wrong that it causes loss in rankings, visitors and sales. We noticed patterns in the general SEO ignorance (sorry to call it like that) of the store owners seeking our help. We noticed the same mistakes done over and over again and realized that probably a better way to help he Prestashop community, than to write a sort of "tips and tricks" post is to present case studies. Just as you see a post on the forum, asking for help and there are 5 more people stating that they have the same problem. One basic problem that people are facing, and it's so obvious that I don't think it should need a real example so I'm just going to tackle it right now: Client: " My site is online for weeks and it's not indexed by Google, what do I do wrong? Us: "Did you check it in Webmaster Tools ( Search Console now) ?" Client: " What is Webmaster Tools?" Us: "Well..." Among the first steps you need to do when having a store go live is to integrate Google Analytics and Google Webmaster Tools. Once you activate google webmaster tools for your shop, Google will index it in a couple of days, you won't need backlinks and not even to "fetch" the google bot . This solves about 90% of the cases. The other 10% is usually stuff like: site is in maintenance mode, webmaster forgot to allow bots in robots.txt and so on... 99% of your Prestashop store's problems you can find out with a simple Site Audit that will show you what's wrong with it. Therefore we are offering Free Website Audits that we will transform into case studies. More exactly, if you have a SEO problem on your site, send us a message or an audit request ( you can use the link in the signature) and we'll help you out. The condition is that if we consider that the audit we'll make of your site has useful results for the Prestashop community, we'll post it on the forum. ( don't worry, we won't use your name or URL, we'll make up something generic like clothes.test or something in order for the people to have an idea of the topic of the shop.) Please understand that not all requests will benefit from this Free audit offer, our time is limited and we use professional tools that have a pretty expensive monthly cost. Therefore we reserve the right to select only those Prestashop site audit requests that we can create a case study of and it will be helpful for the Prestashop Community.

Help Needed Fixing Theme
Prestachamps replied to ankitgala's topic in Addons, modules and themes developers
Hi I've uploaded the theme here : http://tech.wedis.ro/ps16/ (everything seems fine). You probably made several changes inside your theme, and for whatever reason the col-md is not 3 as it should be, in your case col-md is 4. I'm sorry, but it already took me to much time taking in consideration that we're talking about a free help. Everything seems fine with the theme installed on our test server. Please check one last thing, under Advance Parameter/Performance please set the site for force compile (the new modules have already a cache), delete cache. And try again. In case it's not working, I'm not sure what else I can do right now, without having access to the actual sever. You can try several options : 1. Please ask for a solution inside the job offer section. I can perfectly understand your anxiety in regards to the Ftp details, but as mentioned there is nothing much I can do right now, as my hands are tight, and from my end the template works just fine. Need help fixing Google PageSpeed Insights on my site
Prestachamps replied to generalexperts's topic in Core developers
Hi I've checked the site in several methods, your TTFB is between 0.3-06 MS (that's oke from my perspective, as I suppose your site is hosted on a shared server). What I would still change is the following : 1. Optimize your bg image, you could reduce almost 100kb : https://savvymarina.com/themes/shop/img/BG-1.png (this should be in first place a jpg, as it shouldn't be transparent. Also as this has repeat-x why don't you use a 3px /3px version instead of the 256X256 px ? 2. Your Google plus js is loaded synchronously and Google plus ahas already a js that loads asynchronously. 3. You have several items that don't have a browser leverage caching set, also the Keep Alive on your items is not set. In regards to the defer parsing of js, there are elements that just can't be moved into the footer, Prestashop won't work properly. As mentioned first page load is around 3s, but at refresh it's around 1.2s. Kind Regards Leo DO Developer Etiendas Team- 16 replies

Don't worry about it, everybody has those days ..I still think that you're doing a fantastic job...so keep on going cranky, if that works "Hello everyone, sorry it seem like i was whining but wasn't. I just worry more about the panda stuff that google is doing. I have used Elance before. A lot of them wants in the high $XXX to $X,XXX's. Leogeo, Never heard of greatcontent.com before. How much do they cost? I have a lot of sites i read from small business Ecommerce to sites like Clickz.com I use seositecheckup.com but i really don't know how up-to-date that they are." Sorry, I had several meeting yesterday, so I missed your answer. I'll try to emphasize the benefits of the tools sent : (please bear in mind that there are probably others) 1. Greatcontent - the good part is that you can choose the quality of the content written for you, in regards to your budget, and it can vary between 3-10 bucks. (probably more, but that would mean that you'll get a content from somebody who's working on that field, and lets admit writing a good content needs experience in that specific field) - sign up, test (they offer even solutions like, choosing the keywords that you want etc. 2. " I have used Elance before. A lot of them wants in the high $XXX to $X,XXX's." - We're on Elance, unfortunately we just added our self so it's kinda difficult getting in touch with new customers, when other have already a 5 star fake rating ) (Elance is just something what we need, but not what we want) 3. I would suggest you to take a look at : http://searchengineland.com/ http://moz.com Probably the blog of Neil Pattel would be a good start. I hope this info help. Also this is just a fraction of how much info can you read on the net, but with time you'll start realizing which of those are relevant or not( the www is unfortunately full with rubbish) , of course experience in this field is a really important factor also. Kidn Regards Leo

Hi I'm not 100% sure what it could be, probably because of the lack of infos. There are several things that could cause this : a. You could have some referral problem, like a module or something like that, for example the Presta statistical module uses actually the referral part, and as you mentioned the guy who worked had some problem on the module part. b. the error is a 500 error, so I would suggest checking the error long, it could be an override used by a module or something. In order to check and solve the problem, I'll need the access to : Admin Panel and also the FTP (I nee the FTP details in order to activate the debug=true in the config.ini to be able to see whats the exact cause for it. Otherwise it's just a blind testing, as nobody is capable to give you a straight answer just analyzing the site from outside. PS: the good part is that the site is working on the mobile version, so it's almost certain that we're talking about a module. Kind Regards Leo Ps: send me please a mail in case you need further assistance.

Drop down from google... please help
Prestachamps replied to cosmin.ignea's topic in Online sales and SEO
Hi IT has nothing to do with Panda 4.0, it's just irritating that some people use this new update as a trendy approach to give value to a comment. 1. I've just checked you're sitemap, and the site a bit : a. At this point you have 3 index pages at least : http://mywallbed.co.uk/ http://mywallbed.co.uk/index.html http://mywallbed.co.uk/2-home And probably a lot more.... 2. By checking your sitemap : http://mywallbed.co.uk/mattress-support-bed-frame-with-lift-up-storage/58-bed-frame-lift-up-storage-mattress-support-lift-up-storage-mattress-support-bed-frame-5ft-king-size-150-cm-x-200-cm.html This is how you're URL's look like. THIS IS KEYWORD STUFFING !!!!!!!!!!! (it's kinda obvious) - also you redirect the URL-s to the new version, but I suppose this is how your site looked like before. b. Your sitemap contains also all the strings that the block layer navigation generates through the filter : http://mywallbed.co.uk/8-wall-bed?selected_filters=custom_eu_size-120_cm_x_190_cm (there is an option for the filter to not to be indexed, also you can do that through the Google Webmaster Tool) c. https://www.google.ro/search?q=site%3Ahttp%3A%2F%2Fmywallbed.co.uk&oq=site%3Ahttp%3A%2F%2Fmywallbed.co.uk&aqs=chrome..69i57j69i58j69i59j69i60.4463j0j8&sourceid=chrome&es_sm=93&ie=UTF-8#q=site:http://mywallbed.co.uk&start=170 You have 853 results at least - but probably you have around 60 products. All this are just some small fragments found at a glance. Regards Leo PS: a real SEO offers you points what the reasons could be, in case he can figure it out the problem, it never sends you mails with a list of things that are not effecting you . There are no expert SEO's there are only intelligent people who are good marketers and understand Google and user behavior and the rest are cheap imitations. -
Good Point Patron. I just took the time to answer, because you have a serious attitude problem, but beside that, here is the solution for your problem : 1. 99% of the shop user don't realize how important content is for any search engine (especially Google). Actually all the words on a site are considered actually keywords, also if we take this one step further than we'll admit that actually all the combination of the words are considered keywords as well (long tail keywords). Taking all this in consideration your major problem is that you that you don't have content at all, it's kinda difficult for me to understand how somebody can't write like 350 -500 words about their own business(please avoid written a lot of content about your company, write about the benefits, features, products - make a keyword research first - just to be sure that your're on the same length as you're buyers are) I would recommend you : Google trend check - (it gives you a good overview when it comes to were to ? Seomajestic Marketing Samurai Micro niche finder etc. At this point the keywords that you have are all related to the terms that you saw, as you only have products (you don't have at least a short description of them) In conclusion : Add to cart, total have the highest density. One more advice in regards to content (never use odesk, or elance - cheap content will create you problems ) - use something like : http://www.greatcontent.com/ ( I have nothing to do with them) Also please read more about content marketing, this tools (90% of them are rubbish) - Example: you use meta keywords (Google don't cares about them at all - you just generate keyword stuffing - avoid them- write valuable things that people will read (The assumption that people don't read are told only by people who are incapable to write something valuable - use a test like www.clicktale.com - you'll be shocked how people are following the content ) I've been working in the last 12 years (yes 12) in the SEO, SEM , Landing Page Optimization, Eye Tracking business - Unfortunately I don't have more physical time to be hired - not as marketer - but we can take over fixes for you (this was the advertising part ) The Presta community is more versatile as you imagine, but lets not forget money puts the bred on my table also . Kind Regards LEo

160 Hits per day.. Still no sales...
Prestachamps replied to veesupps's topic in Feedback On My Store
Hi I'll try to emphasize a couple of things (actually it made me write you down this stuffs, as we're working right now for a partner creating exactly such a store but not in AU - I can send you link to the test enviroment if you want) 1. The biggest issue that needs to be clarified is that the 160 hits are numbers that you took for the Presta stats, or did you used any 3 party analytics(google would be a great start). Presta stats is taking in consideration the log files, and also there is not a good setup when it comes to considering someone a new visitor (google is set to 15-30 min) 2. Your site looks great, but there is a huge lack of : CONTENT - beside the product description there is a total lack of content on most of your pages, like index, category etc. 3. I made a simple check using copyscape.com and the result are as followed : a. You're copying yourself, there are several products having the same content, creating a duplicate content issue - leading to penalty sooner or later) b. I don't want to be rude at all, but either you or the following guys is copying all your content. http://nutritionsupermarket.co.uk/en/home/128-bio-synergy-raspberry-ketone-500.html And when I say all, than I mean 100%. Please make sure either he, or you write at least a decent new description for you site. 4. By making a nother check : https://www.google.com.au/search?q=site%3Ahttp%3A%2F%2Fwww.cheapsupps.com.au%2F&oq=site%3Ahttp%3A%2F%2Fwww.cheapsupps.com.au%2F&aqs=chrome..69i57j69i58j69i60l2j69i61.5443j0j8&sourceid=chrome&espv=210&es_sm=93&ie=UTF-8 IT seems that you titles, are ....Please write something more understandable, this are not unique titles. A title needs to be formed to max 70 chars, and needs to be a sentence that means something. (long term word structuring) 5. Your articles are 100% copied from : http://www.ultimatetrainingcentre.com.au/feed/atom/ (IF you're the owner of the shop, probably you should be capable to write your own stuff that's useful for the visitors) 6. Newsletter module is not working at all. 7. On the Checkout process your terms and services should open in a popup, but they won't, instead of that the content open on the order page(could mean a 100% bailout) There is lot more, when it comes, landing Page Optimization, in regards to the font that you use, buttons that needs to be more pro eminent etc. I think this couple of points have already described, some of your major issues. I'm always available to hire in case there is a need for branding, and LPO, ROI and Sales increase. I'm working on the marketing field from about 12 years, I'm ready to help, but unfortunately my time is not for free. I hope this suggestions helped. Kind Regards, L.
