I'm reviving this old topic as no answer was given. It's 2021 and it more than ever relevant to be able to easily ensure the protection of user data. Has anyone done PII encryption?

Can you be more specific? I haven't seen issues with it. We are using 1.7.7.0 for over a month now. Disclaimer: we use external invoicing system but still, I haven't experience issues with VAT.

Hey, I'm having difficulties with this also. No mention in the docs. Module with AdminOrdersController override does not work either. Also – OP, you should make the title more clear. At least include controller name.
