Hello everyone, some time passed from start of this thread but I see high activity here last time so here is what I learned on my own so far - just clone official dev Prestashop Classic Theme and modify it. I think that this way is the best as it has Webpack and other stuff already integrated plus all accepted contributions/commits by others. I successfully almost done whole shop on top of my idea, I mean i passed it to an agency as I had no sufficient time to finish this but I made huge progress in short time. Try my way and get used to it as Prestashop will be never left with no updates/commits but projects like Classic Rocket could be. Sorry for bad english.

Install link list module from catalogue or just update to the newest version and You will see: No records found. Adding links works, it shows in FO but not in BO.

I mean that instead of attributes default field types like single choice button, dropdown list or color/texture, I can create attribute with field type like multiple checkbox, range etc.

As in title of topic. What module do You really recommend for Prestashop 1.7.5.x? I found one: https://addons.prestashop.com/en/combinaisons-customization/30960-additional-product-attributes-custom-product-fields.html I'm not sure about combinations, author of module is not replying...thank You in advance.

Ok, maybe I will try do explain it. I have let's say linklist module and I want to wrap it into different div or html tag in one hook but leave it with default html at another hook. How to achieve that? It is really bad design as it is not flexible but it has hardcoded bootstrap classes...

Hello, how can I detect in template what hook that template uses? I want to style module differently that uses one template multiple times on one page. Is there any way to do it via Smarty?

Hello, thank You for Your reply. I think that You don't get my question. I'm asking if Starter theme is still actual for Prestashop 1.7.5.1 or developers are using different approaches to code themes. What You gave me is a link to templating documentation.

Hello, what is the best way to build theme for Prestashop nowadays? I mean that Starter theme is marked as deprecated and newest dedicated branch is for 1.7.3.x but now we have 1.7.5.1. Do You recommend to build on top of starter theme (does it work well with newest release of Prestashop?) or maybe modify classic template? What I like about Starter theme is that it uses Webpack which is modern and actual tool among webdevelopers.

Hello Janett, thank You very much for Your reply. I will switch to 7.1. Additional question is - if I will not use PHP Accelerator, will this affect Prestashop settings or stability when I will move that installation to a real server?

Hello, I've searched already other topics on this forum but I didn't found solution. My problem is that despite opcache and apcu are installed, Prestashop installer still says: Install and/or enable a PHP accelerator (highly recommended). What I found on the internet is that I need to install apcu. I did it and enabled it via php.ini. phpinfo() confirms proper installation of acpu. Also I read that OPCache from Zend is also Accelerator so I enabled it too and it is still not working. I'm trying to install Prestashop 1.7.5.1 in XAMPP with PHP 7.3.

Hello tantan199, firts of all, thank You very much for Your reply. I uploaded modified file to my site for sure, I'm using Filezilla over SFTP protocol. I always use Ctrl+F5 for refreshing site (including stylesheets, scripts and other assets). I cleared right cache files, as said in docs - themes/my_theme/assets/cache/. My stylesheet is error free, I pay attention to developer console, also I tried CSSlint but it only shows warnings, not syntax errors. New fact found by me. Changes seems to appear next day after changes. I want to add that I'm using Google Chrome but in Opera and Firefox, results are the same (changes takes very long time to appear).

Hello, I'm using Prestashop 1.7.2.4 and dedicated theme written by other developer. I have theme.css and custom.css in themes/theme_name/assets/css directory and many other files with hash like names (probably not useful to modify template). I edit custom.css file and saving it when finished. Problem is that template "did catch" some changes but not all of them - here is what I tried: Disabled caching, enabled Force compiling when CCC CSS option is enabled. Disabled everything related to caching. Clearing cookies and all other data in my browser. Removing css cache files manually via FTP. I spent 3 hours on this and I'm pulling hair out of my head... :/

Witam, nie mogę w żaden sposób poradzić sobie z aktualizacją pliku css szablonu dedykowanego. Problem polega na tym że po wprowadzeniu zmian (w pliku custom.css - autor szablonu podał informację w komentarzu aby w nim dodawać niestandardowe style) - nie widać ich wcale na stronie. Po wielokrotnym czyszczeniu cache, przełączaniu opcji CCC, włączaniu i wyłączaniu cache, załapało wersję pliku sprzed kilku dni - tymczasem dodałem wiele zmian w pliku, których Presta nie widzi. Co ciekawe, po wyłączeniu CCC i cache, Presta pobiera dane z pliku custom.css (bezpośrednio, nie z tego z cache motywu) ale i tak wersja odbiega od tej najnowszej i w efekcie podstrona którą stworzyłem dla klienta nie wygląda tak jak powinna. Dodam że czytałem dokumentację, ale opcje czyszczenia cache, zmiana opcji CCC, wyłączenie cache - nic póki co mi nie dały. Proszę o wskazówki ponieważ pierwszy raz spotkałem się z tak dziwnym zachowaniem CMS'a. Wersja Prestashop to 1.7.2.4.
