Prestashop 1.7 - change grid view to list view by default
ellenb4t replied to nestor44's topic in General topics
Hi, has this been solved? If so, would you care to share? Thanks, Ellen -
Hi, I cannot find a solution to create a list view in PS 1.7.8 I know they took it out of 1.7, I searched the internet for answers, I find the same question, but so far no answer. But this is not a strange request, right? In the category page I would like a list view, anyone? If that's not working, then I would like 2 products per line, instead of 3. Why did they even remove this list functionality? Hopefully someone is able to help. Ellen

Hi, We still run Prestashop on 1.6.1.24. Customers using Firefox (at least the latest version) in combination with Windows are unable to login and the cart stays empty. They can add items, but once they click on the cart there is nothing in it: "Your cart is empty". I can reproduce the issue myself. FF in incognito mode works fine, Chrome works fine, FF on MacOS works fine, Safari works fine. Any idea where to look for the resolution of this problem? Is it a FF / Windows issue or can I change something within PS to make it work? If you need more info, please let me know. Thanks, Ellen

I'm curious too. I tried to install the latest version, using PHP 7.3 (higher fails), but error while installing the addons: HTTP 200 - parsererror - Warning: Use of undefined constant _PS_ADMIN_DIR_ - assumed '_PS_ADMIN_DIR_' (this will throw an Error in a future version of PHP) in /www/modules/welcome/OnBoarding/Configuration.php Does someone have the solution to this?

Show stock button on product page
ellenb4t replied to ellenb4t's topic in Configuring and using PrestaShop
Standard theme a bit modified (colors etc.) And the old version of 1.6.1.5 We only recently turned on stock info. I always thought it's a standard feature for the stock to also show up on the product page. I can only make the quantity visible. -
Show stock button on product page
ellenb4t replied to ellenb4t's topic in Configuring and using PrestaShop
Hi Simonas, that's not really what I'm asking. I'm ok with these two statuses, but they don't show up next to the product on the product page. Unless I manually add the text to the admin quantity tab... I would like the standard 'in stock' and 'out of stock' to be visible next to the product on the product page. -
In stock when quantity is 0?
ellenb4t replied to ellenb4t's topic in Configuring and using PrestaShop
Thanks haylau, I'll get back to you. We might update first to a newer version and hopefully that will resolve some issues. -
In stock when quantity is 0?
ellenb4t replied to ellenb4t's topic in Configuring and using PrestaShop
You're right haylau, 1.6.1.3 is really old. I don't know, because we only recently turned on stock management Maybe it's time to update, but we are a bit scared about that. And to which one should we update... decisions, decisions... -

Hi Haylau, thank you for your reply. It is the standard theme, but adjusted a bit (colors etc.) -
In stock when quantity is 0?
ellenb4t replied to ellenb4t's topic in Configuring and using PrestaShop
Nothing? This looks like a bug to me... is there no solution? -
Hi again, I have looked for this issue and found it numeral times, but the solutions mentioned didn't work for us: Prestashop 1.6.1.5 This is the situation: - Product has quantity 0 - In the product list page, it says 'out of stock' > which is correct - I order the product, go to my shopping cart to pay and there next to the product it says: in stock! > which is not correct! Since the quantity is 0. Check here for example: https://www.bike4travel.nl/fietstas-accessoires/5202-tiptop-reparatie-pvc.html How can I change this? This is confusing for customers... Thanks, Ellen

Hi, I have a question about stock, I am looking for a feature that should be standard in my opinion... 1. on the product list page the stock status button is visible below the products: https://www.bike4travel.nl > great, exactly what I want. 2. on the product page the stock status button is NOT visible next to the product image: https://www.bike4travel.nl/binnenbanden/5210-tubolito-mtb-binnenband-29.html > NOT what I want, why isn't this standard feature? Or is it and I just can't find it? I know about the quantity visible, but that's not what I want. I want the stock button... 3. except when I manually add the text in admin quantity tab of a product, like this: https://www.bike4travel.nl/fietsreparatiecursusactiviteit/5211-14-dec-tsjechie-dichtbij-en-toch-anders.html I only add this manually when it differs from the standard text. I do not want to do that for each new product. The question: how can I have a stock button visible like the one in option 3 mentioned above for the standard quantity texts? Thanks in advance for your help! Ellen

Hi, We recently turned on stock management (not the advanced one), but something strange is happening: Some products show the 'in stock' button on the product page, or the 'Binnen 3 - 5 dagen geleverd' (when it's out of stock), but some don't. I'll show you: * Frontpage: https://www.bike4travel.nl/ > here you can see the stock buttons at the bottom of the page. * Product 'out of stock' > https://www.bike4travel.nl/binnenbanden/5210-tubolito-mtb-binnenband-29.html > it should show the button 'Binnen 3 - 5 werkdagen geleverd' next to the product. But nothing. * Product 'in stock' > https://www.bike4travel.nl/onderhoud/5203-hansaline-kettingwax.html > no 'In stock' button here. * The only times the buttons DO appear, is when in the admin I manually fill out the 'Availability settings' for each product, like this one: https://www.bike4travel.nl/fietsreparatiecursusactiviteit/5211-14-dec-tsjechie-dichtbij-en-toch-anders.html But, I am not going to do that for every single product in the shop. I only fill these texts if I want the text on the stock button to be different from the default button text, right? My question: how can I make the 'stock button' that is visible in the category layout also be visible on the product page? By using the default stock tekst that I set in 'Localization > Translations'? PLUS: when I add an out of stock item to the shopping cart and I finish my order, it says 'In stock' ('Op voorraad' in Dutch), while it is not in stock! Please let me know how to fix this. Cheers, Ellen

Hi guys, thanks for the tips! Good to know it's not something we did, but a Prestashop issue. Strange though that it's recurrent.. why not fix it? Anyway, we will look into the solutions you have mentioned, for now our workaround is to avoid the dashboard completely.

Hi, since about a week or so, we have loading issues with the dashboard in Prestashop admin 1.6.1.5 I turned off all dashboard modules, but the problem continues. It looks like it's only the dashboard, the rest of the admin pages load fairly quickly, but the dashboard takes more than half a minute!! We sometimes receive timeouts too. We had not installed any other modules (I was on holiday), our hosting provider also checked the server, nothing strange there. I believe that, since it is only with loading the dashboard. What could this be? How can I resolve this? I have found a couple of other issues, but found no answer there. I hope someone can help us out. If you click on the 'Dashboard' nothing happens for about 30-40 seconds and then everything loads in an instant. I can't seem to figure out what is causing this. Anyone? If you need more info, please let me know. Ellen

Thank you for your answer, but that's not really what I'm looking for. The opening hours in the example, are interactive, and I was wondering if something like that exists for Prestashop. Regards, Ellen

Hi, I am looking for an interactive way to show the shop is open. Something like the image I attached, you can see it in real time here: 12gobiking.nl In the top bar it is clearly visible that the shop is open/closed at the moment with a direct link to shop information. I couldn't find anything other than the Store business hours module, but that's not really what I'm looking for. Does anybody know of such an add-on? Best regards, Ellen
