  1. PrestaShop Version 1.4.1.0 PayPal Module v2.4 We have a customer in India (we are in the U.S.) attempting to purchase our products but they keep receiving the following error response from the PayPal API: 1. PayPal response: 2. TIMESTAMP -> 2012-06-08T18:30:01Z 3. L_ERRORCODE0 -> 10729 4. L_SHORTMESSAGE0 -> Shipping Address State Empty 5. L_LONGMESSAGE0 -> The field Shipping Address State is required 6. L_SEVERITYCODE0 -> Error Obviously, PayPal is looking for a "State" but to my knowledge, various geographical regions are not defined as a "State" in India or many other countries for that matter... Please advise how to resolve the issue with the v2.4 module or PayPal and allow the customer India (and other countries without States) to complete orders without encountering this error message. Thank you!
  2. After upgrading to 1.4.1.0 in the Admin area - when Modules tab is selected - I am receiving: Warning: simplexml_load_file() [function.simplexml-load-file]: /home/username/public_html/modules/locationdetection/config.xml:4: parser error : xmlParseEntityRef: no name in /home/username/public_html/classes/Module.php on line 461 What is causing this and how may I remedy? Thank you!
  3. After upgrading from 1.3.7 to 1.4.1 With prestashop theme I receive a Smarty error when product links are selected. Fatal error: Smarty error: [in /home/username/public_html/themes/prestashop/product.tpl line 495]: syntax error: unrecognized tag: $link->getProductDeletePictureLink($product,{$field.id_customization_field (Smarty_Compiler.class.php, line 446) in /home/username/public_html/tools/smarty_v2/Smarty.class.php on line 1095 I am an SEO - not a coder - so I am clueless here... Please advise. UPDATE: Since there were no responses to the posts - I had to roll-back the upgrade and regroup :-(
  4. I just upgraded from 1.3.7 to 1.4.1 by following guidelines. All appeared to go well and I can access new Admin area, but front-end is blank. I enabled debug modes in config.inc.php and received: Warning: Missing argument 2 for ToolsCore::getMetaTags(), called in /home/username/public_html/init.php on line 108 and defined in /home/username/public_html/classes/Tools.php on line 574 Fatal error: Call to a member function getCategoryLink() on a non-object in /home/username/public_html/modules/blockcategories/blockcategories.php on line 129 I need help understanding what this means and how to go about fixing it to get my site back. Thank you! UPDATE: I dropped the database and uploaded all of the 1.4.1.0 files again. Ran the install script again and this time - it worked - sort of... Can someone please go here: http://bit.ly/f7RSVa click on any Featured Product on the home page. See the result? I have no clue what is causing this. I tried specifying Smarty3 in the Admin area - resulting in crashing the entire site. Please advise - thank you!
  5. This could be exactly what I need - thank you!
  6. OK... I have a question that is outside my area of expertise: Lets assume someone ;-) began using PS V 1.3 added the PrestaBook theme, but also made some changes to the core tpl files - without making a note of where - duhhh and not following the templating guidelines. Now... is there a method by which the modifications can be located/identified and then structured correctly so they will not be overwritten in a migration to 1.4? In other words, is there a way to "compare" the original installation of PS to the current modified version to locate where changes have taken place? Thanks!
  7. I am not an HTML expert but I understand that gogl will see; IpodHay 3 productos So again H1 is lost :-( It is not completely "lost." The search bots will see: Ipod Hay 3 productos However - since the product wrapped inside the h1 tags - unless inline styling is applied or a class is assigned to the span element, whatever is inside the span (in the first example you give), will inherit the h1 properties. The H1 may also lose some focus this way - depending upon what is inside the span tags. Ideally, we should be able to edit exactly what appears inside the H1 tag on each page or as related to each product, category etc. via the Admin area. Contents of the H1 tag needs to correlate to the page title as well (for proper SEO basics). Same key phrases used in title and H1, should also appear in meta description. I don't know if there is a SEO plugin that provides this ability?
  8. OK, thank you for the suggestion. I will give it a try.
  9. Do you know if any of the ADDON SEO modules handle this? As I understand it, 1.4 is still in Alpha and should not be used on a production site - correct? Thank you.
  10. I am running V 1.3.2.3 In standard configuration, the H1 tag is simply wrapped around the logo and is static on all pages. Obviously, this is not the best approach for quality SEO results. Can someone please suggest the best module for providing the ability to apply the H1 tag to the Page Title - for starters... Thank you!!!
  11. Thank you for the reply - I appreciate it! You won't believe this... but I discovered the problem within the global css. I accidentally assigned a "visibility: none;" to one of the classes related to that module, while attempting to do something quite different. (not enough sleep.) Anyway, thanks again!
  12. I was working with the site today, editing footer-related modules and tpl's, when I noticed that I no longer have the user log-in menu items at the top right of the page. I have no clue what happened, but I could use some assistance in figuring-out how to get it back ASAP! Thank you!!!
  13. I searched for this but didn't see it. Surely simple, but I can't seem to create a new top-level or parent category in addition to "Home" - is it possible? Thank you! update: I think I figured this out... You can not create a category on the same level as "Home" - correct? However, you can create sub-categories that can become "parent" categories - correct? Then you can simply choose not to display "Home" with the drop-down via the Horizontal Menu Module by Julian - correct? Are there other ways to accomplish this? Is there a way to create a top-level category in addition to "Home"? Thanks for your input.
  14. running v 1.3.2.3 There are 2 admins. Me - located in the U.S. and the other located in China. I can log in and navigate the admin area just fine. But the admin in China is having difficulties. He can log into the admin, but the moment he clicks on any of the navigation tabs - he is redirected to login again. I asked him to clear browser cache and make sure cookies were enabled. This did not help. One other thing: initially, he was able to navigate, but for some reason, something changed. Any ideas what could be causing this? Thanks!
  15. PrestaShop Version 1.3.2.3 PayPal module Version 1.7.1 The site is hosted in the U.S. I can complete the PayPal process without any difficulties from here in the U.S. However, a friend in China is helping me test for complete functionality and is experiencing the following error message when attempting to complete the PayPal payment process: "Unable to process payment. Please contact the merchant as the shipping address provided by the merchant is invalid, and the merchant has requested that your order must be shipped to that address." Does anyone recognize this message or know how I can resolve the issue?
