PrestaShop e-Commerce Solution version 1.0 is close to completion. The third release candidate of v1.0, build 1.0.0.3, resolves many bugs and adds new functionality. It should also prove more stable than the previous release candidates, and it comes with beta versions of 11 new languages. These new features will be available in PrestaShop version 1.0.0.3 (RC3):

Put the champagne on ice and iron your best suit: PrestaShop e-Commerce Solution v1.0 is available for sneak previews as a release candidate (RC). After the final kinks are worked out of this release candidate, version 1.0 will officially be launched as a stable, production-ready e-Commerce shopping cart that is, as always, free and Open-Source.

The release date of PrestaShop e-Commerce Solution version 1.0 is fast approaching.  Rest assured that the PrestaShop team is working hard to make v1.0 available as soon as possible. In addition to fixing the remaining bugs in v0.9.7, we are also putting the finishing touches on a new slate of features.

The following represents the latest roadmap of major features to be included by v1.0. There will be other, minor features included, as well.

With the release of PrestaShop versions 0.9.6 and now 0.9.7, the beta phase of development enters its final stage.  There’s a lot yet to be done, but we’re starting to get excited about the upcoming delivery of our official stable version, PrestaShop 1.0.

Much of our excitement comes from the reactions we’ve been getting of late from our terrific user community and the Web community at large.

Within the past month, PrestaShop has been mentioned favorably on well-known software review Websites such as Webappers, FeedMyApp, Killer Startups, and Web Resources Depot.

Get the checkered flag ready. The race to PrestaShop v1.0 is in the final stretch.

Yes, version 0.9.5 is still a beta. There are bugs. But it’s the most sophisticated and stable build so far. To us, PrestaShop software is finally starting to resemble the PrestaShop of all those flowcharts, business plans, PowerPoint presentations, and late-night brainstorming sessions.

However, now is not the time for nostalgia.  The final push has only just begun---the goal is to release our official 1.0 version of the PrestaShop e-Commerce Solution in just over a month.

It’s been a hectic two weeks here at PrestaShop. Every time we thought the new v0.9 was ready to hit the stage, we’d get another show-stopping bug.

On the other hand, the extra time meant that we could add a lot more new functionality than originally planned---thus the version jump from 0.8.5.1 to 0.9.

PrestaShop, a leader in open-source e-Commerce, announced today the release of an important update to its free e-Commerce software as well as the unveiling of its newly redesigned Website, PrestaShop.com.

PrestaShop™ e-Commerce software v0.85 features improved English and French translations, database modeling, and usability, as well as a Chinese translation and new module versions for Paypal™ and Google™ Sitemap. Numerous bugs have also been repaired.
